The Hunters Chorus from "Freischutz" by Carl Maria Von Weber. OMG, now I know this piece may seem like nothing to you player that have been player for like years, but this piece practically killed me. it's like high notes just came at me from every direction. my mouth hurt like hell after playing this piece >_>, worse part is, it's a pretty nice song once you learn to play it right, i just wish playing it wasn't so hard T.T

I hate "Bolero." It's 4 notes if you count the two octaves of concert B flat. And "As the Eagle Flies." (Sorry, don't remember the composers.)
In reply to the first post, tough, I loved "Chant Rituals." The tuba parts were cool.

I hated when we had to play songs from the movies, especially West Side story and Porgy and Bess.

jjgonejello The Tempest by Robert W. Smith. i remember when music was that easy! i recently played The Divine Comedy, Pergatorio was murder with 16th and 32nd note runs and Paradiso had singing parts in it... First Suite in E for Military band was actually really fun and so was the second suite.. Our director decided to randomly select a composer from his i-pod and landed on Robert W. Smith so we played him the entire time!....

It's been four years since I've actually read any trumpet scores but the one that stands out is Pomp and Circumstance, second part for first trumpet and first part for second trumpet. All quarter notes and have to play it until all 500 or so students finish walking to be graduated.

x-mas Cappricio Italien(sp?)....I just have an irrational hatred of that piece. Well, its not that irrational 'cause there are some horriable rhythms in it. Not hard, just horriable. Urgh. I love that song. I have that song, only it's played my a mass French horn ensemble and it's amazing!! Anyway, I hate anything by Souza (yep, I'm a horn player)
