"Maybe it will." Kiju agreed, but only half-heartedly.
Life was indeed full of surprises, and Kiju tried his best to take each bump in the road (or downhill stretch) with equal grace. In his mind, there was a purpose for everything, even if he couldn't see it. Something was out there guiding him with feather-light touches, and he was willing to follow directions.
In fact...
"You could do one more thing for me, if you don't mind me asking?" Kiju said shyly, a somewhat ashamed smile on his face. At least he wasn't asking for anything hard!
"Meeting you here was pretty random - so random, you could maybe put it down to fate." Kiju felt a wave of embarrassment color his features, but continued gamely. "Maybe you could pick a direction for me to travel in next?"
He wondered if all that would sound crazy to her. Probably!

Kisirani's attention had slowly begun to grow elsewhere, wondering where she herself should go next. She felt that it would be best to try a new area fora while, see other things that she hadn't seen before. Would that work well? Maybe it would.
She was pulled from her plans by yet another question from the male. Silly that he was, but she would listen. She bobbed her head in understanding, though it took another moment to realize just what she was agreeing to. At least it wasn't anything deep! Or else she would have gotten herself into quite a pile of trouble.
"A direction?" she repeated, surprised. Now, why would you ask others to tell you where to go next? She knew very little on what was where specifically, especially if he was looking for something like prides. "Well, if you were coming from that direction," she spoke to herself quietly. "Then perhaps you should turn a little bit more....west?"
She rased her head up to look in the direction she had mentioned, wonder if there was anything of value out there for this lion. He was so odd, wasn't he?

"A little west..."
Kiju stared towards the suggested path, his eyes following the disappearing stars in the west, chased away by the rising sun. He waited, wondering if something would feel right, better, ANYTHING to indicate this was the right choice.
... nothing. Just the same old hope that drove him on. West it was. It wasn't like he had a better idea anyways! He turned to Kisirani, a sincere grin spreading across his jaws.
"Thanks, for both the advice and the path." Kiju climbed to his feet in one smooth motion and stretched. "I should get going before the day gets too hot." Already it was getting warm out! The dew-stars would be gone soon, along with the real ones.
With no further words, the lion set off, following the disappearing night.

"Fare ye well, then," she said with a wry smile. Such a fool to listen to one so loose as she, but he must not know any better. She had little knowledge of how the world truely worked, and only knew the ins and outs of her own.
She just hoped that she wasn't sending him anywhere dangerous. That would be the last thing she would wish on a male so sweet as he.
Soon she would be off, on her own hunt of sorts for comfort that could only hide the loneliness she felt.
