I've seen some of the people on TV that have the fangs put on. I'd hate having them there. I mean, the fangs wouldn't be a bother, it's the lump/indent where it is attatched to the tooth that would annoy me. A person that didn't do it to follow the trend or stand out would not want to have fangs added on.

What makes Gabby happy on this specific day:
1. MUSIC!
a. Flute/piccolo- Well, I always love my flute. My solo competition is now officially two weeks away, and I'm feeling awfully well about my piece. If I get a chance, I'll see if I can finally figure out how to record myself, and it might not be the best of sound quality, but you can at least hear what my flute solo sounds like. I might or might not do the piccolo solo. Maybe I'll do the one part I have in band for our "Folk Song Suite" I swear, that piece was written for piccolo. xD But yeah, both my flute and piccolo solos are coming along.
Here are other people playing my solos:
Flute: http://youtube.com/watch?v=cyxg7wxvtAU Piccolo: Movement III (I can't find the second movement which I'm also doing) - http://youtube.com/watch?v=wkfkZgEhH44 (why can't I have my own back up orchestra gonk ) Vocal: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RabAEnOUtX0 (again, why can't I have my own back up orchestra?)
b. Sweeney Todd. My friend burned me the album, and I've fallen in love with it. We watched it online (actually through Gaia, someone has it on their vj), and I did say "EEWWW" through the whole thing, but I'll make Anthony my hubby!!!!! Muahahah! xD Jk...he's my friend's husband, but the actor's my husband. xD I think I got the better end of the deal.
c. See music on profile: I love that music. I mean, mainly the ones that have the orchestral backup to them.
2. I made my first website layout! I mean, its not completely done, but its actually quite nice. I was just experimenting for our key club website (so I could make my own and everything), and I made a decent one. I might actually just get a freewebs account so I can put it up. I have some finishing touches to it, as well as making more pages. If I'm going to make a website, gosh darn it I'm going to make more than one page (instead of the stupid school limiting me to one xP).
3. Taltos by Stephen Brust (I believe). My friend lent it to me to read, I read it a few years ago, and now she has the whole series, so I'm rereading it so I can read the whole series.
4. 4 day weekend!
5. Under the music category add borrowing teacher's piccolo...I mean really really nice piccolo! =O It's amazing!
And many more things. I'm just in a good mood in general. I've read a few mangas via mangavolume.com. I'm working on finishing this one that's about this girl being the reincarnation of a demon, and this guy trying to kill her and everything, it feels like all they do is run around, they hate eachother, then they find something out, then they love each other, then they find something more out, they love each other even more, then she specifically finds something out, and tries to run away from him. I'm amused by it so that's good ^_^.
There was another one I read, I found it was highly inappropriate for my taste (made me kind of uncomfortable...hehe), but it was also interesting. It was kind of a spin on Little Red Riding Hood. I really liked the main plot of it. So, basically, I guess this angel of the light falls for an angel of the dark...they have a child, and for some reason she's been banished to our realm. So, she's a ten year old girl in our realm who cannot die. The guy who takes her in gives her clothes, and so once all dressed up she looks like Little Red Riding Hood. She doesn't have her memory of her past life, all she knows is that she desires to be eaten by 'the wolf' and that's the only way she can die. The plot starts off with not knowing anything about any of this, just thinking its another gore book, but then a bunch of chapters in it gets more complex, and I wound up almost crying by the end. But like I said, it was kind of inappropriate for my tastes...a lot of it couldn't have been cut out of it.
So, here's a long post on random things, and why I'm in a good mood. ^_^

@vampyre. mm, i like everything about it. i like watching the clouds and stars. while laying in the grass. and just thinking. or laughing. or being weird.
i like to think a lot. good thinking, not bad thinking. yeah. (:
my favorite past time is probably...hanging out with my friends. they make everything better. even when i hate them, i love them dearly.
as for music. don't get me started! gah. i could go on for AGES about the music i listen to. seriously. iloveithardcore. i'm really into punk. and alternative. lots of rock. mostly punk, though. and i love going to shows. its so amazing. that should've been added on my original list of things that make me happy. shows make me super happy. i get all giddy and girly, hah.
as for books. lately, i've been reading a lot of nonfiction. biographies and memiors and essays. i like to read compilations of essays. especially on music.
yes, i'm kind of obsessed with music a little. it takes over my liiiiife.
i'm babbling, now.

Music is excellent, I don't mind any music I listen to. I actually prefer more classical music that anything.
@[heart attack] I used to lay on the grass alot and watch the stars, but there is no where I can do that anymore. Although, I avoid thinking alot these days, it never ends well. xd
@innoitta. How was the book then? I've read a book before taht was really great at the end and made you want to carry on reading, but the next book was nothing to do with the one before it. stare Well it was slightly, but not what I wanted. xd
@Syrinx. Those pieces are really nice. I always wanted to be able to play a wind instrument, but all that blowing made me go light headed. I've tried to play the clarinette(sp?) before, but I kept gettig my tounge caught in the reed. O.o No idea how though.

The author herself has won a pulitzer before and you can tell - at least from the fact that her character comes off knowing exactly what it is she does and can explain to the reader in detail about it (she's a book conservationist - doesn't restore them, just repairs them and treats them enough that they won't fall apart while on display). The narrative jumps through time - starting with WWII, moving on back as the main character discovers more clues as to where this famous, ancient manuscript has been in its travels. I'm just a little disappointed with the plot of the main character compared to the plot of the characters whose lives the Sarajevo Haggadah touched (however briefly). But over all it was a good read...

I don't know if I could narrow it down, since I tend to branch out a little (one kind of music/book/movie only would be so boring :/), but I do always delight in finding an interesting-looking vampire story. One where the vampire isn't just an Anne Rice copy, beautiful and elegant and horribly full of angst, but they twist it up a bit and put humor or make the vampires monsters instead of people who just happen to drink blood. I think a lot of writers tend to forget that vampires were meant to be monsters when they were developed. The blood is the life, and here's something that is coming to take it away (ha ha hee hee ho ho) from you - most likely to leave you a pale corpse who won't be coming back to life.
I like looking at the adaptations people come out with, but I'm not always happy with it. Romance novels (bleeeh) tend to get the vampire and the female lead in the same situations every story, no matter who the author is. And instead of vampire, it's "Carpathian". Stephanie Meyer's series fell short mainly because it's fallen into this rut of "Oh, Bella's in trouble again but there's another book so we know she lives." You Suck by Christopher Moore has an entire tiny chapter devoted to the main character taking his last dump and asking his vampire girlfriend if he should save it (I really need to continue this). And then there's the issue of a book actually dealing with some of the things that come up when a mortal dates a vampire. For one thing, no matter how much the characters love each other there's going to be some strain in the relationship, since, well...one drinks blood, and the other one has blood.

I've tried to play the clarinette(sp?) before, but I kept gettig my tounge caught in the reed. O.o No idea how though. Piccolo has made me get major headaches before...but I've gotten used to it. I guess the last time, I got a headache from band, we had a substitute teacher, so everyone decided to be complete idiots and blast. I said I had a headache, and the substitute claimed it was from the piccolo, but it was actually from everyone blasting (and then after school it got worse with that high frequency ring tone thing that only kids can hear, everyone was doing that over and over again...=P).
I might be able to pick up clarinet or saxophone after my solo competition. It'd make it a heck of a lot easier in jazz band (a few songs have clarinet parts, and then for sax (which I already know how to play, I'm just not the best of it since I haven't really worked at it) I wouldn't have to transpose anymore). I'm really excited, I like learning new things.
But thank you! I'm really extremely nervous, but I'm not going to make the mistake I made last year, where one mistake lead to me kind of panicking and not doing as well as I could have. Gosh, 5 points away from a perfect score. xP I'm working really hard because I want to make it into all state so badly!
So you like classical music? It's probably what I listen to the most since I find it the most calming (there are a few exceptions, like a few ones by Saint-Saen which energize me as apposed to calming me xD). Right now I'm on a Philip Glass obsession, he's minimalistic, and he bases his music on sea's waves. It's so calming! The ultimate way to fall asleep at night is if it's raining and his music is playing at the same time.

Phillip Glass is an excellent composer to send you to sleep. xd I've never really been into minimalistic music, but I think tubular bells was minimalistic. The whole song is about 25 minutes long, but it's still good. I prefer classical guitar most, then orchesteral(sp?) second best. There are quite a few pieces written for the kind of war typw settings, which are cool. but I do love the calming music, it's needed alot in the world these days. The substitute music teachers I got never liked me, 'cause I was beter than them. And the girls in class never liked me either, 'cause I got all the boys attention. xd

@innoittaa: Actually, my history teacher recommended these vampire books I've never been able to find...I don't know the title of any of them, but I think the author is Chelsie Quinyarbro or something...he says they are Romanian vampire books, and they are extremely good (and not like the Anne Rice books (which I love but he calls cheap, porno vampire books >.< wink ).
@Pure Vampyre: Hehe, apparently at the Glimmerglass opera house in Cooperstown, New York, they were putting on 5 different operas of Orpheus, and my dad met someone that went to the Phillip Glass one saying it was extremely boring because it seemed to repeat itself over and over again. My dad is obsessed with Phillip Glass and actually explained to her a lot about Phillip Glass, and she left actually liking the opera more. xD That's my dad for you.
I'm not the most fond of guitar...but I still like some pieces with it. My dad has a CD of Andres Segovia, and I really like his music. I'd have to say Spanish guitar music is my favorite of guitar. As for classical, I have a large variety of what I like, but I'm obsessed with any classical piece/composer that is Russian. But then again, like with my Philip Glass streak, I got on obsessions of all types of classical. Such as some times I just crave baroque, and want to listen to it non stop! The other morning I was listening to Bach Inventions (harpsichord), and that's all I wanted to listen to the whole day.
This substitute seems to have an obsession with me in a way. I think its because I'm a flute/piccolist, and I'm the most behaved (because I'm just usually quiet no matter what). I'll also talk about music a lot, when I do talk. But she likes telling me "Oh you should do this", but my reply is that she can talk to the regular band conductor with that suggestion if she really think it needs to be done, I'm not changing anything without her.
The girls in my class think they can manipulate me and everything. But then there are a lot I get along with because I might be quiet, but I like talking about positive things. They usually view me as meek, positive, and cute. A lot like to play with my hair, and recently, someone said I need to go over to her house so she can experiment with my hair. I rarely get boy's attention, though. When I do, I usually either freak out and ruin it, or respond in a small way, so they don't know if I'd like them back or not...and get another girlfriend.

OMG!!!!
I just finally ordered a Virgin Black CD! Requiem: Mezzo Forte because I'm obsessed with Midnight's Hymn (not Drink to Midnight Hymn because I think that one is a horrid version of the song).
I can't wait until it arrives!
=D
It fills me with joy!!!!
^_^
I still don't know why this explains why I put a bunch of songs I normally don't listen to on my profile...it was a random urge...you know?
@Pretty Handsome Awesome: That's cool! I've tried to start my own band a few times...I mean a really weird one with random instruments, but I don't have that much interest from my friends. T.T It bugs me. Oh well. I'll go single and play all the instruments at the same time.
My Dad's friend has a few albums out (jazz), and he does all the instruments/vocals on them except for the percussion. Its amazing, because he harmonizes with himself. xD

Yea, I keep forgetting to look for Yarbro/Yarbo's book when I think of books I need to read. It's probably somewhere on Amazon, but I doubt the bookstores would have it, since so few people know about it. Anne Rice...I'm sorry but she gets downright boring at times. :/ But that's my opinion, and as Dennis Miller says...I could be wrong.

Pure Vampyre DarkmoonTUNA Going to anime conventions with friends makes me happy. Just staying in a hotel with friends is what makes it fun. Last time I went to a big con, my friend fell asleep on the toilet while taking a dump. We call it "Sleep shitting" That always makes me happy. AFV always makes me happy. What's it like at a convention? I have never been to one before. sweatdrop Depends on the Con. They are normally crazy and fun... well it has been like that for me but I have only got to two different cons a few times.
