The cheetah female gingerly peeked around as they stopped. She wasn't quite sure why he stopped; was there something there? Her red eyes didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but then again, she wasn't used to these lands. Perhaps what she might think of as normal not normal out here. She had to trust her guide to keep the both of them safe.
He didn't see too alarmed, so she quickly let her muscles relax. "Well, you might have to point me out to a couple places to look, then," she said with a smirk, knowing it could have a couple different meanings attached to it.
"Water sounds quite inviting now, though, that I'm in front of it!" she giggled, feeling quite thirsty now, actually. Funny how that happened only when it was in front of you!

"Can't say no to a pretty smile now can i?" He smirked at her before he nudged her toward the water. There didn't seem to be anything else about besides a few gazelle and they were quick to flee at the sight of the two cheetahs. "Maybe if you ask really nicely i might even show you the most exciting thing there is around here."
His tail ticked behind him as he flashed her a smile and leaned down to get a drink. She was starting to catch on, at least he hoped, and the conversation might turn out to be more fun than he thought.

"Hmmm?" she looked up, the words slowly organizing themselves in her mind. She smiled softly as she lowered her own head to take a drink out of the cool, crisp water. It was almost a shame to break the smooth surface of the water with her tongue, but if Jicho was going to drink, then she might as well too.
"Really? Well, it would be quite nice to see that, if you make it sound so wonderful," she said with a small laugh, raising her head up and licking the beads that lingered on her mouth. Her red eyes peered up at him, her head still low, smiling softy. He was funny, in a neat sort of way.

He leaned down to take a drink as she did, not wanting to be rude and take a drink before a lady, and straightened up. He sat back on his haunches, tail ticking beside him, and grinned at her. "Well that's a nice way to ask...."
He tilted his head slightly, grin widening into a smirk, "But .... i don't know if it was nice enough. Can't share the best things with everyone now can i? Going to give me a cherry on top of that sweetness for it?"

Chapua flicked her tail, feeling like he was pushing his luck, wasn't he? Well, not necessarily luck, but he sure seemed to want more than just her kind word. She shook her head, doing her best to keep her laugh from getting too loud.
"Asking for a little much, aren't you?" She settled herself down on her rump, cleaning off all the bits of water that were left on her maw as she waited for an answer.

"Much? Never." He let his tail tick behind him in a lazy beat. "Cherries could be so many things. Could even be a nice look at your pretty eyes, they do remind me of cherries you know." They were red at least which was enough for him to make the connection to save his own skin.
"Wouldn't want to be stuck talking to some demure little princess that didn't think she should be meeting the eyes of whoever she was talking to"

Chapua smirked at the cheetah, quite entertained on his way or words. Well, whether or not what he meant was playful or otherwise, she'd at least keep up with his friendship. She flicked her tail happily as she nodded. "All right, all right. What is so exciting that you'd like to show me? I'm sure I'll enjoy it..." Hopefully.
"As long as you're not pulling any tricks." She'd play along a bit, as she really was out here to change her life. She needed to relax at least a bit, right?

"My little secret." He grinned, tail ticking happily, before he got up. "One i don't share with just anyone" He motioned with his head for her to follow him.
He knew this wonderful little rock outcrop a little way off that if you climbed onto of it you could see huge expanses of the savanna. He liked being able to sit up there and watch everything around him. It made a good vantage point for hunting too.

"All right," she said with a giggle. She picked herself up with a bit of a spring, following after the deep violet cheetah curiously. He was such an odd fellow, but he seemed so nice. There were things about him that Chapua knew she could only guess at, but those would come with time. And if not? Then she was content. He was nice enough to her, letting her forget about her past troubles as well as offer trust again.
She was distracted from her thoughts as it seemed that he had quickened his speed. Or...no, she had just grown slower as she let herself absorb everything into her thoughts. "Whoops!" she said, trotting to catch up to Jicho.

He looked behind him when he heard her. "Don't get behind little missy." He grinned brightly. "Wouldn't want to loose you somewhere, i'd feel horrible about it."
She wasn't as overly friendly as he was used to girls being but she was fun. At least she went along with his things without questioning him about it. "Not too much further."

"Hmph," she said in a stubborn tone. "I was just letting my mind get the best of me, I'm sorry." She soon caught up to him, especially when it seemed like he had taken a split-moment pause. She settled back into a pace that matched his, her eyes scanning the area around them curiously. It didn't seem too fancy or anything like that, so her mind raced with the possibilities of what this secret might be.
"You sure like to lead a girl on," she said teasingly as he mentioned that they were getting closer.

"Only when i know that the end result of the teasing is worth it." He winked at her as he headed toward the pile of rocks. "Least you're safe letting your mind wander around me. Wouldn't let harm come to such a pretty lady."
He set his paws on the rocks and hopped up carefully. Once he was at the top he sat down and looked back at her. "It's up here. One of the best things i know in the world."
Since the sky was clear they could probably see for miles around them. The grazers wandering around off in the distance and the clear blue of the sky behind them.

Hmmm. She laughed at his compliment, letting everything melt away. She needed to stop worrying about every little thing. It wasn't like the world was out to destroy her. Everything would turn out all right.
She hopped up after Jicho, focused more on the fact that she didn't want to slip than anything else. She finally let her eyes look up, and it took her breathe away.
She gasped as she looked, amazed at how far she could see everything. It was incredible! "Jicho, this is amazing!" So this was what he had in store for her? It was certainly something special! "I'd never imagine you having something like this under your paw."

"a man's got to have some secrets." He grinned at her as he curled his tail around his paws. "Even with all my wondering i come out here a lot. The view is amazing. It works wonders for hunting too, you can scout the prey from a distance that they'd never notice."
He enjoyed watching the sun set and rise from up here too. The colors were beyond everything that he'd ever seen. That he would save for something else though. He couldn't go showing that to just anyone, had to be someone special.

"Hmmm. You can." She was surprised on just how far she could see, but it was nice. It was an idea that she might have to try in the future. If prey was hard to find, get as high as you could. The nose couldn't always help you, the eyes needed to be completely utilized just as much.
Her tail flopped behind her as she scanned the whole horizon, her deep red eyes taking in everything. She wanted to remember this.
"It's beautiful," she said simply. "Thank you for showing me."
