-Had Ahai known a thing or two about 'friends' he might have felt bad about his taunt as he noticed how much it seemed to hit the goddess. But other then Kai and Matsai, Ahai couldn't really say he'd ever had many of those. And those boys... well they loved throwing insults back and forth. The fact that it'd stung, well that only drew a smile to his maw at a job well done.
Padding a few steps, until his eyes no longer focused on Elly, he gazed out, taking note of the last few rules. His voice rose in a rhetorical question, obvious playful and lighter then many of his teasings before.- "Who's to say you won't mess with them?"
-Tail flicking with excitement, he inquired mildly.- "SHOW me the cave then. And we'll meet here.. the day of the next full moon? That should be easy enough to keep track of."
((ICly 25 days? ))

"As if I'd even need to." She snorted, brushing past him though without looking back, making a straight line for the cave in question. She wasn't worrying about it, seeing as it was a matter of trust on both sides. "Just don't try to pass the buck and claim I cheated when you lose." Scoff.
She was forcibly putting the nickname tease behind her, but it came easily once she tried. She sounded distracted a little bit, almost dismissive.
"So that's, what, about twenty five days? Fine by me. By sun down."
The final stipulation was just a safeguard, that'd allow a little extra time for some scores, but also gave a time to be there by so no one could say the other wasn't showing up or had backed out.

"Wouldn't dream of it." -His pride wouldn't let him right? Well who knew, if it did happen his ego just might make him blurt out something like that. But that wasn't something he intended, or even conciously believed he'd do. Of course, he was 100% certain he'd win, so did it matter?
He followed mostly silently, mind already so tied up in the thought of where he might strike first, and tactics that might land him the most skulls. It was easy enough when she too seemed distracted. Probably thinking up the same things he imagined.
As the cave, or atleast A cave drew into sight, Ahai nodded once more, agreeing to the additions.- "By sundown."
-He had to stop himself short from adding onto that statement, because for a moment he'd almost admitted the fact that he hoped he saw her again before the contest was up. But that was an awful sissy thing to say. Ecspecially to a girl, so his mouth remained shut.-

"Good."
That was good, yes.
She stopped once they'd reached the cave, turning enough to look at him for his thoughts on her choice. She didn't intend to waste a moment, at the time feeling like the sooner she'd get to tear her claws into some living creature's hide the better. He didn't know it yet, but this would likely not be the last time he saw her, or that she saw him, before the contests end. Suddenly though, Chamchela found herself quite looking forward to the end of the month. After all, how many could one mortal REALLY possibly kill on mortal strength alone? "Well..." The smirk eased back onto her face with disturbingly silky grace. "See you in one month."
There was no use of name, no actual, formal "goodbye", and no pause between those parting words and Elly moving into a loping run, summoning one of her creations around her as she went until she was no longer visible, and both went tearing off into the distance to get started on their horrible dirty work. If mother could see her now, no doubt this was exactly what Kiva had feared her daughter resorting to with her power and training. The joys of living up to expectations...

-As quickly as they met, the young goddess was already hightailing it out of there. And though he too offered no great goodbyes or words towards her departure he did sit and watch, visably impressed as he watched the wind and dirt pick up into small pillars. Watching as she soared upwards in a way that he could never.. and even that his father had never been able to show him.
Ahai watched in mild awe, waiting until she was but a speck in the distance before he too turned. Where would he start?
Part of him wanted to go find Matsai like he always did, tell him what he'd seen, let him in on the wager. But another side of him really wanted to sink his claws in there. Get the honor of putting the first skull into the cave.
A rumbling grumbling growl of a purr rippled through him as he set out after his first victim. Oh yes. He'd try to be first in AND the winner.-
