"Well.... Feng was always the adventurous one, and Ryu is always there to rein her in," Kara smiled at that.

She could only imagine what Feng had told the older woman. Older? Yes, Kara was sure at this point Aliya was probably older than her. At least she would assume so.

He wondered how that turned out, with Aragost in charge. Well, Aragost knew what he was doing, so that was fine. It was good to hear that more children had brought and brought back home.

"That's good to know," Donovan replied.

When they finally reached the ranch, Amdir set Adwin on the ground, and the three children ran into the house to search out Ahren and Arwen.

"Come on, Lin!" Adan called brightly, beckoning for her to follow. "Come on, Miyu!"

Aliya and Amdir smiled at Kara and Donovan. "Well, come on in," Aliya invited them. "You're not expected, but you're never unwelcome."

Celebor grinned and followed them eagerly. "It's been a long time since I was here," he said cheerfully. "Come on, Grandma, Donovan ... let's go in!"

"Coming," Donovan murmured.

He had no problems coming in, and it showed as he took Kara's hand as they entered the building. Though he had to admit it had been a while since the last time he was here. Not that long of course, but with the time passing he always had to get news from someone.

Kara giggled as she watched the two girls run pass her to catch up with the other children. It was so good to know that they would get people to play with. Sometimes, she felt that the girls didn't get to play enough in life.

"Ah.. so has anything changed since the last time we were here?"

Aliya laughed softly as she followed them inside. "Not a whole lot," she grinned, "unless you count that the children have grown again. It's been two years again since you were here, so ..."

Yes, changes indeed.

A dark little blur zoomed in from the dining room and stopped in front of Kara. It was Arwen, flush with excitement, her brown eyes sparkling brightly.

"Kara Kara Kara!" she squealed, clapping her hands together. "You're back again! Finally! I wanted to show you this, watch look look look!"

She spun around in a circle, disappearing and reappearing entirely several times in a row.

"See? I can do it now! I can do it now!"

Celebor laughed. "You're sure excitable, aren't you?" he grinned down at Arwen in amusement. "But that sure is neat. I suppose that's your magic then, isn't it? Your gift?"

He had learned a lot about it during his time in the Southland, though few down there had shown off like Arwen was doing.

Kara giggled and clapped, "That's wonderful!"

She did mean it, it had scared poor Arwen so much when she disappeared without warning.

"Does this mean that you don't disappear by accident anymore then?"

"Oh yea.... Kara was helping her with her magic," Donovan murmured waving at Arwen.

He looked around to see who else was going to pop out of the wood work. At least it was just growing children, he wondered how big Shael was by now.

Arwen giggled and twirled again, sending her braid flying.

"No!" she chirped happily. "No more disappearing by accident for me! I can control all of it now! And guess what else I can do now!"

Her eyes glittered with excitement.

Haradhel appeared in the doorway suddenly, looking much as she ever did, and her expression was one of amusement. "Arwen, you're going to hurt someone with that braid of yours," she commented, putting one hand on her daughter's head (not that she had far to reach - the girl was eight years old and as tall as Kara now).

She smiled at their guests. "Come in, have something to eat," she invited them. "Ulani was planning on coming here this afternoon so you don't have to worry about heading over there instead. You have time to relax."

Adanedhel was already seated at one of the tables with the other children (all except for Arwen, who was out with the adults, and Ahren, who was out with Elrohir) and he was passing out the cookies that were sitting out on a plate.

"There's lots," he grinned at the others, "Hara-chan always makes lots, so you can have as many as you want, okay?"

The twins each had one in each hand, with bites out of both of them already.

Kara giggled at that, "Well you can show me later."

It was a bit awkward she realized now, talking to Arwen like this, since she was as tall as Kara herself. It was hard to believe she was still talking to a young child, but that is what happens though. She should be use to it by now.

Miyu picked up a cookie and nibbled it, as if she were a mouse. It was still one of the shyer traits that the girl had retained, but then again it hadn't been that long for her.

Lin took a seat beside Adanedhel as she went for a cookie. She bite into it, and chewed thoughtfully as she sorted out the 'noise' that the butterflies made. At least the ones with her, which were on her arms and one crawling along her neck. She could only understand words, none of it made sense yet even though she had been keeping up with language lessons as best as she could. To her anyhow people were talking too fast, even though it only seemed like that.

Though there was some interesting chatting from Saki, she wondered if the cat had been chasing butterflies or something.

"That's good," Donovan murmured, "Then I can ask her when she gets here what needs to be done. Maybe I should get Celeborn first and tell him I'm here... or send one of the girls to do it since they're probably going to head to the barracks as soon as they can pry away."
