Scales! Barry grinned. So perhaps tis man was as inhuman as his hair suggested.
"Mm. I agree," he nodded.
Quinn giggled and smiled at the baby, dangling zher fingers over his head, wiggling them.

Oh, he was, of course. Just most of his inhumanity was under water. "By the way, my name's Taavi." He said, extending one hand towards Barry. "And the baby's name is Cal, little one."
Cal blinked at the fingers, and very, very carefully extended one little hand towards them.

"Barry," Barry said and smiled, "and Quinn." He accepted the hand a bit hesitantly and shook lightly.
Quinn didn't move any further, just continued wiggling zher fingers.

Taavi grinned and gave the hand a squeeze back. "S'nice to meet you, Barry. You too, Quinny."
Cal gave a tiny little noise, more of a gasp than anything else, and grabbed one of her fingers with his small, thin ones. His eyes momentarily got even larger. Oh my!

The finger still wiggled, and Quinn spoke softly.
"You got me."

Taavi looked down. "Well, yes. I didn't think of someone else coming in. If it bothers you, I can grab my shorts." He laughed. "I've never swam with clothing on before, so it's taking me a while to get into that habit."
Cal eyed the finger, trying to pull it closer to himself. How interesting!

Quinn allowed the child to pull zher finger closer, ready to bap him if he tried to bite.

Taavi laughed at the blush, swimming on his back a bit. "I guess I still forget that I don't have a tail."
Oh, but there would be no bites. Cal brought this finger down closer to his eyes, examining it with creepy consideration. Odd baby was... Odd.

D'aaaaw, Ears. Taavi laughed at them. "A very odd merman."
Cal kept examining the finger before his eyes moved up zher arm and to her face. His hand dropped the finger, reaching out for her. Come closer, little one. Bwaha.

"Daddy, he touch me!"
"That's nice, sweetie," Barry replied noncommittally and turned back to Taavi, "I have respectable hair for a man my age. The same amount of ear hair, too..." He fingered a bit of the fur dangling from the edge of his ear.
Quinn just looked back to the baby, smiling softly. Awww. Another baby to love!

"Well, that's a surprise. The little bugger screams whenever I touch him." Taavi rolled his eyes, then grinned at the ears "You do have rather unique ears, Barry." He said, admiring them.
Cal made a little burble, tiny and thin as he was, patting her cheek. Warm and soft and squishy~
