I'd help, but I suck at Japanese by any man's standards. But if you come across graphic stuff you need just let me know pirate .

Well, since my 2nd japanese class has started, and I study on my own in my spare time anyway, and since this probably won't get going for a while yet, I guess I can volunteer fully as a lesson writer. 3nodding

You can be a lesson writer, but I was hoping 5 or so people could just do a lesson a day that way we can bring all of our knowledge to the table (everyone learns Japanese sooooo differently)

I think I just thought of a way to handle to kana/romaji problem. Double posts!

So every time you post a lesson, write everything in romaji, post it, hit "quote it", erase the quote code and replace the romaji with kana, then post again. At the top, you can title your posts "Lesson #: romaji" then the next one "lesson #: kana" If you are on a computer than you can't write kana on, then at the top maybe write "mod: please add kana." Just a thought . . .

Also, the lessons should be written in the same set of romaji, I vote for "wapuro" romanji.

So far the interesed lessons writers are

That would be a good Idea....but who would be the other 2 teachers? And I have a Japanese processor on my PC, so i can do that whole double post thing. Would that be alright with you?

Well.... I suppose we could try spreading the potential authors we have now out among the 5 days to get started, and fill in the other day slots later on once if/once interest develops. . . but it's up to the captain of course.

I would like to be a lesson writer, but the fact is, my compiter does not allow me to write in Japanese...I can, however do Romaji off the top of my head, you know, names and stuff. Also, I know basic Japanese and can, in the end, get the players to be able to tell a story in Japanese about a boy and his cat.

What sort of game? I didn't really find the last one interesting, since the starting and ending syllables of words thing didn't really have anything to do with the learning process (except possibly increasing your vocabulary)

Speaking of games, maybe some of us can even get together and make a real one, kinda like that slime forest adventure thing. Well, just a passing idea, probably nothing will come of it.

lol, i'm finally responding to this like... a month and a half later.

anyway, i wasn't 100% sure on how to do a new game, but i was thinking of coming up with an original idea. i'm tossing around an idea like... a contest. people answering questions, maybe, and stuff like that.

Wouldn't it be easier to teach hiragana, before going into Kanji?! I'm a Japanese 1 student, so I don't know that much yet, but there is a website for the program we're using that lets you play matching games, and has printables of hiragana that you are suppose to trace, and then write a few times, to get you use to it. I'll go find the link if anyone's interested. PM me if you are, because I may forget about it. I also forgot to mention, if hiragana is taught, we are taught to make them look like things, and I could draw a picture next to each character to help students. I'm interested in being a lesson teacher, but I'm afraid I don't know enough to teach, expecially if it's kanji.

P.S: my name is Glenn in english just so you have something to translate...
