Yep, getting up had been a really big mistake. Haha. Now Ace was looking at him as if he would have some miraculous idea that would save the world from vampires, or whatever evil being was eating people’s souls. “Yes… I’ll… help.” He regretted saying it even as he haltingly spoke the words. Ra was hoping that Ace wouldn’t want him to try exorcising Charles. That would not go down well.

"Alright!" Ace let out a whoop, his body half-jumping to the excitement, but he was on the ground and sort of tangled--and did this sort of 'yay! ok, I'm falling, no I'm not, I look cool still, yeah---' flail thing. "Ok, so YOU get Uncle Charles the---wait, you're not even really around here. Uhm." Ace frowned, "Ma-aybe you can--convince Uncle Charles he's going to die a horrible death if he doesn't take a vacation and force him to go to Hawaii with you and THEN feed him garlic pizza!! Can I come too?"
Ace frowned though even as he spoke. That was silly and even he knew that. "Well, you could convince Ms. Ruriska that he's a vampire and that Ai and she and Tom are all in danger for it, Tom really is, you know, and have her help? I know! If we locked him up so that he couldn't get out for a long time, he'd be stuck and couldn't get to what he needed and then the vampire in him would be dead and he'll be ok again! Maybe we can lock them up in these programs even, or--or--Do you have a secret lair in one of the volcanoes there or something?"

Raleigh watched Ace with a look of utter exasperation. He knew he’d just dug himself into a really big hole and there was no chance of getting out. Well, he’d better just have to keep digging. “Convince Charles to take a vacation? I don’t think he even likes me that much so I don’t know how I’d manage that.”
Oh god, he was actually seriously considering how to stop Charles’ being a vampire? Raleigh couldn’t quite contain the sarcasm in his next sentence. “Yes. I have a secret volcano lair. You should come visit it sometime.” He ran a hand through his hair and gave a deep sigh. “I am not getting Ruri involved in this.”
Abandoning his traditional position he unfolded his legs and lay down on his side, resting his head on his arm lazily. “You need to lure Charles’ away from his office somehow and trap him somewhere safe. Put him out of action for a while until he can get over his… sickness.”

"Yeah? But how do I get him to Hawaii to do that?" Ace ask, looking at Raleigh with all earnestness.
