Can you stop shutting everybody up? You asked for some opinions...

I hate kikyo a little

One thing that always annoys me in these arguments is when people resort to phyisical insults, calling one party "uglier".

THEY BOTH LOOK THE SAME! Change the outfit, maybe adjust the eye color and hairstyle by a minute degree, and they are interchangeable.


Another thing that irritates me is when people say Kikyo doesn't belong among the living because she died and she should stay dead.

If you were living a happy life, and then somebody came and violently murdered you, wouldn't you want to be alive again? Even if it was only a pale imitation of your former existence, with cold body and muted touch and taste, wouldn't you still want to at least be able to observe the world of the living, to enjoy the beauty of a sunset, hear the song of a bird, and just generally be in the world instead of drifting down into a metaphysical melting pot where all the memories and choices that made you yourself will be destroyed and supressed as your soul is sent to inhabit a new body, your former existence to only reappear as occasional odd dreams or hypnosis-induced flashbacks? I'd want to be alive, or undead, even some skeletal parody of life, if it just gave an opportunity to come back. If you were brought back as an undead shade, wouldn't you still have a will to exist? Would you just go and blow your head in with a large rock or jump off a cliff because technically you are no longer one of the living? What makes all these prats so better than you, just because they never got stabbed or poisoned or disembowled?

I don't think it's that wrong for her to hate Kagome. Whether intentional or not, Kagome has her lover, a full beating heart and flesh-body, and most of her soul. If that's not cause for jealousy I don't know what is.

The thing I do have an issue with, quite simply, is the soul-munching. She is feeding on the souls of the dead, young sad girls who were once like her, trapping them within her clay husk of a body if not consuming them altogether. She is a soul-eating monster, commiting an utterly evil act of metaphysical cannibalism to prolong her own existance. If it was a demon doing this, Inuyasha and friends would slay her without a second thought. But because she was once a human and lover, she is cut an unimaginable amount of slack, and the characters bring up her abominable dietary component only when technicality and explanation necesitate it. They don't even seem to act the slightest bit put off by it. They just treat her as another person, when given her current behavior she should be treated as a monster, a thing which acts human to decieve and blend amongst potential prey.

Hoooooeeeeee. Another one of these...... Ahem, Once upon a time a kind and generous priestess stuck her lover to a tree because some demon made himself look like him and hurt the kind priestess. Though, this priestess didn't trust her lover which she should've. Anyway, after 50 yrs. of being sealed to a tree Inuyasha was freed by a beautiful, kind, warm-hearted ordinary schoolgirl. The jewel shard was stattered but did Inuyasha try and kill this girl? No. And after like, the first 2 eps. Inuyasha and Kagome started holding hands, true love.

I hate the fact you're making Kagome sound like a total wimp. seriously, she isn't demon or anything, she can only shoot arrows. There's only Inuyasha to rely on since he's faster than Sango, Miroku, etc. She only sits him because she feels left out when he's drooling over Kikyo, or when he's trying to kill someone innocent, or when she accedentaly say sit. Yes, Kikyo is nice but, Inuyasha love Kagome more, he knows it, very much so. Kikyo keeps the show funnier because then Kagome has to sit Inuyasha or something. Kikyo shouldn't die, she should jusst stop worrying about Inuyasha and go with another man, there are many out there. I fully support the Inuyasha and Kagome love match. and xoxo, this isn't going to change the show or anything, its just a dang argument topic, which is very much useless...

So you like Kikyo and hate Kagome, whatever blows your skirt up. I hate Kikyo, but I respect her because she's a main character in the plot.

Actually, Kagome uses the sit command whenever she's angry at Inuyasha. Sometimes he deserves it, sometimes he doesn't. Either way, I don't think it's psychologically healthy to have Inuyasha subject to the whims of a schoolgirl who can veto any action he takes or break his spine and dignity with a single word.
