I haven't dressed in a full lolita outfit around my mother, but if I did i'm sure she'd have one of two reactions:

1) "What a beautiful outfit! I'm so glad you learned to sew and are actually dressing up instead of just wearing jeans everyday!"

or

2) "Um... Why are you wearing so much lace? You're almost 20 and you're in college. Dress like an adult. No one will take you seriously."

My mother generally can produce two responses on about everything.

I have no clue what my father would say. He would probably laugh at me and maybe be happy for me since he's always known I was a strange child. >.>

For a long time, my parents were against the fashion; that was 2 years ago, however, they[atleast my mom] loosened their strict thoughts over the vogue. My mother is actually supporting me, at long last! XD Despite the fact that she's starting to buy me lolita-related items little by little, she still detests the shoes and several other factors of Lolita; she likes it simple. My dad on the other hand, completely hates it as far as I know. D:

my step fatehr keeps his moth shut and anytime I twirl around asn ask "don't I look cute" he just laughs and rolls his eyes
my motehr thinks I'm nuts, and embarrassing, she won't take me anywhere and she thinks I need to grow up because I'm an adult and I have a child so I need to start acting like a prep in her mind. But she does seem pretty happy I'm acting like a girl for a change.

When I wear my home sewn lolita skirts and casual tops, lacy and whatnot, my mother actually is very happy. She says, "See? You have so many nice clothes. It's nice if you put effort into your outfit once in a while rather than just jeans and t-shirts." My dad has no opinion. However, neither of them know about the name or cost.. but once I start buying stuff online, I'm sure they'll start complaining.

My grandmothedoesn't mind me wearing it as long as it's not overly frilly and lacy (think classic loli). But she is against most of it because she says that since I'm almost 20 I should grow up and act my age.

My father says that all of the clothing I buy is beautiful people clothing, and he is glad that I dress up. I guess it's because he is used to women staying pretty at home, and men being the workers. He is very old school, almost too old school. He really doesn't mind if I splurge 200 dollars on a Moitie skirt. It is my money after all. In the beginning, I used my art as an excuse to wear different clothing. c:

My mother, on the other hand, detests me because of the fashion. She is always calling me anorexic, and that I look like a immature child. A very rude person, indeed.

She still doesn't understand why I like to stay at my father's house. *sigh*

My Mum used to not really mind, she even bought me a loli-able skirt, but when I showed her a top I wanted to get with a bunny hood she said "Do you really want to look like a little girl?" I was shocked, the thought never even crossed my mind.
She won't stop me though.

My mom says she's supportive but she I can tell she doesn't like it. My dad HATES it. Most of all because i'm starting to influence my younger sister. Everyone else has gotten used to it.

My mom doesn't mind it much, she keeps telling me "If you wanna keep getting these clothes, keep your jobs". My dad actually likes it, when I model for him he just smiles and goes "Well, I wouldn't wear it, but it's cute." My grandma hates it, she tells me I look like I tent. stressed But that's not really special, she insults everything I do. My Great Grandma loves it, she says it reminds her of when she was a little girl. XD My family's kind of eccentric when it comes to Loli. sweatdrop

My mom has never cared much what I wear, she's cool like that. Her only concern is that lolita is so expensive. My grandma doesn't like it at all. She says that kind of clothing is only for little girls and that I'm almost twenty, I shouldn't wear it. (I'm eighteen...lul.)
