In an instant Kate shut up. Cassi deserted her!? He left! The girl just stared at Cassi and Reign uncomprehendingly. "C-c-cassi?" she whimpered, holding her arms out. He couldn't leave her! Without Cassi, she wasn't Kate. They were the same!
T'rin hesitantly took a step towards the kid. "There, there... Cassi didn't leave. She's still right there." Where the soothing words came from, T'rin wasn't entirely sure, but at least the shrill screams were gone.

Cassi peered over at Kate. "Kate screams scary..." The boy muttered, clinging to Reign's arm. The child took a hesitant step towards Kate, but the big scary man did so as well and Cassi retreated back to his not-scary mommy. He relaxed a bit as Reign reached over with her other arm to place a reassuring hand on Cassi's forearm.

Tears began to gather in the girl's eyes. "Kate sorry.. Kate sorry....." she whispered, arms still held out pleadingly. "Cassi no bye bye? No bye bye?" the girl whimpered, half asking Cassi, half asking T'rin.
It was...so adorably sad. In a way, it reminded him of Peri and Talner, way back after they had graduated college.. Neither had known he had been eavesdropping or they certainly would have acted more macho. Slowly scooting closer, T'rin gently wrapped his arms around the little girl. "Kate, Cassi isn't going bye bye. Cassi's right there.."

Now the scary man was comforting his Kate!! Tears welled up in Cassi's eyes as his friend pleaded with him not to leave. "Cassi no bye bye..." The boy whispered back, his lower lip quivering. Scary man was now even closer to his Kate. Scary man was too scary and too close to go to Kate now.
So instead, the boy clung to his new mommy and cried. "Cassi no bye bye!!" He cried and sobbed as he clung to Reign. Reign threw a fleeting glance at the man. Now it was going to be next to impossible to seperate these two! At least, the kids had made a transition towards accepting the new parents...

Kate opened her mouth reflexively and bit down on the arm encircling her. Crying into the arm, Kate finally gave in and let the man comfort her, though one arm never stopped reaching out to Cassi.
Though the girl couldn't see it, T'rin's face contorted into all different shapes as Kate bit down on his arm. Ignoring the pain, T'rin snuggled Kate close. "Daddy's here..." Finally the girl relaxed a little into his arm. "Why don't we go see Cassi?" he muttered picking Kate up and heading towards the other pair.

Cassi was torn in emotions as the scary man brought Kate closer. But... if scary man was Kate's daddy like the man had said... Daddies weren't supposed to be scary either, right? The boy thought for a moment, then looked up at his new mommy. "Kate daddy no scary?"
Reign smiled and shook her head. "No, Kate's daddy isn't scary."
With that reassurance, the boy ran crying toward Kate and T'rin, his arms stretched out towards Kate. "Kate no scary! Kate daddy no scary!"

Kate launched off of T'rin and onto the ground scrambling to get to Cassi. "Cassi! Cassi!!" With a heavy crash she clung to Cassi, terrified to let go.
T'rin, sighed and rubbed his arms where Kate had dug in and launched off of him. This was going to be painful.

"Kate! Kate!" The boy clung tightly to the girl. He would never ever let go of her again! Never! Not even if-
SLAM! The door burst open and the two techs from earlier walked in, seemingly unaware that they'd almost knocked the door clean off its hinges. "Alright. Here's your info on these two and that'll be it." His expression clearly said 'Get out now'.
Cassi had jumped nearly a foot into the air when the door had burst open so unexpectedly. The boy yelped and this time, a warm liquid soaked his shorts. The boy looked as if he was going to cry from fear and embarassment.
Reign moved closer to the children, noticing Cassi's accident. "I don't suppose we can get another outfit...?" She gestured towards Cassi.
The tech grunted. "We don't have a bunch of extra clothes, lady. Just go buy something."

Why that... Emitting a sound somewhere between a cough and a bark, Kate charged the door. They'd pay! Kate chomped on the nearest tech, the one that had slammed open the door.
"!@(#%" the man exclaimed jerking his arm away from Kate. "JUST GO!" He yelled as he tried to fend off irate girl. Kate meanwhile had every intention of biting his hand off and clawing his eyes out.
T'rin raced over and pealed Kate off of the man, getting kicked in the shin in the process. Coldly the tech held the door open for the two of them. Gulping, T'rin grabbed the folder, and still trying to juggle the struggling Kate backed out the door.

Reign couldn't help but smile at Kate's attack of the techs. They definately deserved that! Cassi had wandered over to her side after Kate had left him in her attacking charge. The boy took the woman's hand, hiding behind her as they drew nearer the techs. Reign took her own folder and started out the door before turning back. "Hey, you drove me here..."
The tech who'd driven her here, groaned. "Call your mother."
"Give me another outfit." Reign was not going to give in that easily.
"Fine, fine..." The tech muttered and wandered off. Reign just hoped he'd reappear before too long. Now that that had been settled, she glanced around to see where the man and other kid had gone.

T'rin hadn't really gone that far. The man had wandered down the hall a little with a lost look on his face, completely bewildered as to how to get out. The distraction in his arms didn't help much either.
Kate screamed trying to get at the techs who had scared her Cassi.

Reign could hear Kate's screams, which led her easily to the other pair further down the hallway. Unfortunately, as many times as Reign had been here with her sister, she'd never actually been inside. So she was just as lost as T'rin was.
Cassi covered his ears as they grew closer to Kate and T'rin. "Kate no scream...?" The boy pleaded with his friend.

Seeing her friend wasn't harmed, just a little wet, Kate kindly obliged to stop her attempts to attack the techs, though the girl crossed her arms defiantly. "Techs no hurt," she reassured Cassi.
Cautiously T'rin set Kate down on the ground, breathing a sigh of relief when she didn't bolt towards the techs farther down the hall. Fidgeting as Kate and Cassi conversed, the man glanced up and down the hall.
Finally he managed to screw up the courage to address Reign. "Do you -uh- know where the -uh- exit is?"

Cassi smiled at his friend, starting to give her a hug before recalling that he was all wet and so patted her shoulder instead. "Kate good to Cassi."
Reign shook her head. "I've never actually been in here before... But the tech's supposed to bring some dry clothes... maybe we can ask him!"

Kate hugged Cassi, regardless of the wet. It wasn't like it hadn't happened before.
T'rin nodded vigourously in response to Reign. "Yes, that's good," he said, glad to have the decision taken off his shoulders. Uncomfortably he shifted from foot to foot, not sure what to say now, to any of the girls around here.
