Aevah snapped her fingers softly and the markings on her stomach and the palms of her hands faded away slowly. In the town of Amies, the moon hovered peacefully as if nothing bad was supposed to happen. The humans slept peacefully this fine night and did not know that the high gods wanted them all dead.

The goddess shivered a little, still cold from the night air. And since Amies was on water, the sea breeze made everything much colder. Sojo then walked away from their spot and Aevah did not really want to follow him at the moment, she had to test if her powers of creation could find a way to give life to new, powerful beings.

She did not want to catch any attention. A large house in this busy town was not for her.

With slow steps she approached the boat port in the town of Amies and from the distance she could see a foliage of trees which was called Whi Forest, and the monumental Dragon's Peak watched Amies as if guarding it from travelers.

Whi forest was where she would live. She smiled at the idea, especially that she would be surrounded with creatures that she herself had created.

It had been a day, or maybe two that Sojo had been mourning over his losses. Several times he had moved houses until he found himself outside of town wandering lost. A forest to his left and the town to his right, deciding the odder of the two he entered the forest. Carefully he passed over logs and around roots.

The trees tower high over head, but Sojo kept on, as soon as he had entered it seemed he was in the middle, a lake stood in front of him shining and peaceful, a small peninsula on the other side with a medium sized house on it, a little over 1000 sq ft he presumed. The air was light and animals crept around and Sojo just stood staring around. It was so quiet and peaceful, why couldn't he vanish here forever by himself.

"Aevah, please help me." he cried sinking to his knees knowing he was alone. There was no goddess there to help him, there was no one. He was alone, in a world he had to destroy. The wind started to twist again his emotions taking over, this time the wind was soft and strong, he was crying.

"Attempt number one hundred five."

Dark circles surrounded Aevah's small gray eyes. The once piercing look on her face was replaced by a pale tired expression as she waved her hand once more on the small white Rhusto flower which stood on the dry soil, wilting from the light magic that came out of the goddesses fingers. A small spark of blinding light followed, and this not faze her at all since this had happened the last twenty trials. A small gray smoke replaced the yellow light and circled the small plant. As the gray faded away it revealed a small white humanoid creature as small as her fist, gasping for breath and trying to open it's eyes amid the dust that was on it's eyes. It was another failure.

Aevah closed her eyes for a second, and the toll of the last few days was finally catching up to her. She had been abusing and using her power non stop for the time she had lived in the Whi forest, and this of course was not exactly a good thing. She was worried. If they had not finished terminating the human race in a month the high gods would really wonder about what was happening, and why they weren't doing their task.

She needed to hurry.

Tenderly lifting up the odd creature in her palms she smiled at it and closed her other palm to it, and emanated a pale blue light, and the new life was no more.

"The object must have more essence, something more powerful and meaningful." she whispered to herself.

Then a small sobbing was heard from a distance. Her heart beat faster, who would dare enter the forest? It couldn't be the humans since most had feared entering the forest and only a handful come to try and hunt for the rumored unicorns, the unicorns which Aevah protected very well. She walked towards the source of the sound not really sure what to expect.

Sojo shot straight up and silent as a new life filled the air than slouched again when it faded. Another life ended, why were people doing this? Carefully he unraveled his bag and brought it down in his hands and froze when a figure came closer. The figure looked like a woman but the sun broke just enough through the trees to make it hard to see her. Stepping forward he dropped a few things he had brought. A feather, a jar of liquid, and a sandwich. Stopping he knelled crying, he was such a failure.

Aevah peered into the small and empty spot of dark grass and saw a male figure which was kneeling in the damp soil. She kept quiet, the only sound heard was from the flowing of the water in the stream not far from where she was. As the figure moved, she came closer, if it was a human she would have to scare him off. A light ray of sunlight peeked into the Whi forest as she walked towards the figure that she now saw was a man.

Her heart now beat faster. Sojo?

His belongings fell onto the ground scattered in the dirty ground. While the goddess was very surprised, she was actually elated to see a familiar face in her time on earth.

She heard the sobs, "Sojo!" she was speechless at the moment as she awaited his response.

Sojo shook off the sadness as foot steps approached, he didn't mind them for the vibrations in the soft leathery soil was easily recognized as a gods footstep. Looking up he saw the figure ahead of him blurry at first but than it cleared as he wiped the salty tears onto the ground, the grass dying where they hit.

Staring bewildered be picked up his stuff and ran to Aevah hugging her like a child hugs their mother. Aevah was older than he was and surely had some advice. Sobbing he made sure to wipe them up before they fell off his face.

"Aevah what do I do," he whispered..

Her heart beat faster as she saw Sojo since he was the only familiar face she had seen in these past intense days. She was elated to see him, perhaps he could help her with her task? Though she wasn't sure if he was with the council's side or...her side.

Suddenly, a great force pushed Aevah to take a few steps back. Sojo held her tightly, Aevah's shoulder now stained with tears.

"Aevah what do I do,"

Now she knew where he stood. She gave him a small smile as she pushed him gently away from her, making him look at her directly.

"I have a plan, do not worry." she paused, "Come back in this spot after four days."

The goddess then wrapped her arms around him, as if he was a porcelain doll, "We will get through this. We will save them."

Sojo returned on a dime exactly four days later in a elegantly woven silk outfit with the few things he had in a pouch slug around his waist, in the past few days he had changed his appearance very little but had that godlike presence, that was impossible to remove. Standing up straight he looked around and called out Aevah's name.

After a few moments of no known reply he wandered into the house where as soon as the door was open by just a crack a explosion erupted and soot and dust few out onto the grass, it didn't burn but was warm. "AEVAH!" he snorted entering quietly and looked around, one room painted white upstairs had a shadow stretching the wall, he crept silently entering the empty room. Only a curtain.
