the king nodds, "king Raynard in the west is the closest to the storm without it being actually upon him." he motions to a location and a castle appears surrounded by its land which is partially consumed by the storm, "then there is lord ashland, he's further south, but none-the-less, he is still in the frey," he then motions to another kingdom, which apears south of the first and though it isn't touching, the storm is still close to it

the king motions to the mirror where a particularly worried looking king is destracted with one of his vassels. the mirror turns purple and a demension door opens, revealing the image that was in the mirror

You appear in a courtyard and already you can see the dark tower looming just on the horizon and just from the absolute blackness of it you know at once that this storm is indeed unnatural. It is black, blacker than night and just as grand. You see that people around you have just completely abandoned all reason and are acting like vermin, clogging the streets and flooding the alleyways

((meaning that they're raiding buildings, ramsacking, theiving, amoung other things. u know, generally vermin-like))

The cloud is surging with magic, but not from any apparent spell. Besides that you can detect an immensely powerful magical item somewhere behind you.

a few things from shops and a little bit from individual people, nothing really out of the ordinary besides maybe a big spike from one man standing not that far away from you, proped up aginst the wall

He is garbed in red, a suit of magical red leather armor covered in a red silk shirt all covered in a red cloak. At his side is two magical weapons, though the magical sheathes are concealing anything further about them. In his cloak is a few magical items, but they seem to be almost mundane. The only considerable magic on him is in his eyes and in his mouth, but his cloak covers his mouth, but his eyes are just closed. Despite that, you suddenly feel like he is doing the same thing you are, though he didn’t cast any magic that you know.
