"Thank you, then, Miss Kyrin." He smiled, the supposed polite manner of speaking belied a playful happiness at once again seeing people he knew. He had left the comfort of the home he had found after the mansion almost a month ago, and even for his solitary nature he had found it hard to be amongst strangers. Maybe he had gotten soft, staying so long with people who cared whether he lived or died, even if he himself did not. He didn't order himself another drink, drinking alone no longer held the appeal it had five minutes ago. Instead, he turned to Kyrin. "You look exhausted. Might you need some help with your work, maybe you could get some rest that way?" Ignoring the fact he couldn't remember the last time he had gotten a full nights sleep, after so long without, his body had traied itself to survive on a small amount, when he could get it. Or wanted it.

User ImageKyrin giggled at his politeness. ”The work I am doing doesn’t exactly require help, but perhaps company.” She thought a moment and then playing like he was added, “Yes. That would be nice.” Kyrin excused herself for a moment to talk to John and let Jamie finish his drink. Standing, she turned and moved fluidly through the tables and to the bar where she talked in hushed voices with John. When he handed her a file, she nodded and thanked him. Walking back to Jamie she gestured for him to follow her and the two left together to the car. The ride was pretty long as they made the rounds that took no less then two hours, driving all through the town. Kyrin picked up a file from each bar until she had a pretty substantial stack on her lap. As they made their way to the last bar Kyrin began to talk to the driver, ”This is the bar that the Flynn brother’s are usually at, so we might be here a little longer.” At the mention of ‘we’, the driver’s eyes drifted over to James, whom he hadn’t seen around before and then back at Kyrin, to whom he nodded. ”If its more then an hour, though, feel free to investigate.” She added, with an amused smile. The driver returned the smiled and nodded again, saying, ”We’ve arrived.”

Leading Jamie in with her, Kyrin nodded to the bartender and then scanned the room for the Flynn brothers. Good, they’re here. She found them easily and her eyes met with two pairs of hazel ones. She led the way over to them, nodding to them each in turn, ”Caiden, Riley. Good afternoon.”

User ImageAs the door to the bar opened, Caiden looked up to see Kyrin entering and he saw the man that followed her as well. Every time she had met with them she had been alone, so this addition was interesting to him. He surveyed the newcomer intently, and he knew his brother was as well.
”He’s kind of cute.” Riley whispered to Caiden before the two got over to them.
”That’s what you said about Kyrin when we met her.” Caiden said, rolling his eyes.
”I’m just being honest.” Riley chuckled, but he kept his good natured smile until the two got closer, then his expression went blank.

The twins were tall, something near six foot, and this fact could be told even as they sat. Their reddish brown hair was cut short and their hazel eyes shown brightly. When they smiled it was clear that their smiles were slightly crooked. The difference in their postures told a lot about them. Caiden sat slightly slouched in his chair, relaxed. He had a lit cigarette resting between his middle and index finger on his right hand. His right leg was crossed loosely over his left. Riley, on the other hand, seemed a little more tense. Sitting straight in his chair with his forearms were resting on the table in front of him, Riley had his hands loosely clasped around his glass of beer.

When Kyrin and Jamie got to them, Caiden was the one who answered the greeting. ”And the same to you. What can we do you for today?” He asked, with a pleasant smile, as he extinguished his cigarette in the table’s ash tray.

Standing in the back of the gathering, having regained his calm and suave posture, Jamie looked over the twins. Neither one was bad looking, but he knew it would be wrong to even bring that up in a business situation. Instead, he made sure his gun was lodged safely and hidden underneath his hoodie, in case things got out of hand. He had been out of the organized crime circuit for so long, many of the names and peoples they spoke to were strangers to him, though he knew not many of them could say the same, the son of boss Corleone and his status as missing must have been passed around the cities, looking to bring the child back. Or maybe not. Maybe his father was just as happy to pass him off as dead. Making a conscious decision not to get lost in thought, Jamie brought his attention back to Kyrin and the twins.

Instead of sitting with them, Kyrin stayed standing and shook both their hands as she stood next to Jamie. She talked to them quickly, with questions of their plans. They talked for a about half an hour before they agreed, with a little persuasion on Kyrin’s part, to meet with Jaydn. Once Riley finished his drink, the four made their way back to the car. Kyrin offered the front seat in the car to Jamie while she took seat in the back with the other two. Ky noticed the driver shift slightly when they entered, as if getting a better hold on his gun; just in case. On the way back to headquarters, Kyrin picked up her phone and held down the number two; the speed dial number that correlated with Maddox.
”Maddox, I need you to let Jaydn know that I am bringing the Flynn brother’s by, okay?”
”The Flynn brothers?”
”Yeah, a couple of guys who could be of use to us. Jaydn should know them. But, in case he hasn’t in the past couple hours, tell him to look through their files.”
”Oh, alright, you checked them?”
”Yes, they are both carrying, they agreed to give them up inside.”
”Alright, are you coming now?”
”Yes. Ten minutes, tops.”
”I’ll send someone down to meet you.”
”Thank you. Oh, and find Nina.”
”What?”

Noticing Maddox’s meek tone, Ky rolled her eyes, ”Yes, Jaydn said to tell you to find her. I hear she’s in a foul mood. Good luck.”
After that she hung up. As she was on the phone, Kyrin noticed that Caiden stared out the window, without interest, but Riley seemed to be curious as to what she was saying, and what language she was speaking.

When they got to the headquarters, Kyrin led the way inside the ground floor. They were met by the two men that Maddox had sent. Charles and Levi. She turned to the twins, ”You will stay here with Mr. Sweetland and Mr. Donnelly.” She moved over to Levi and Charles, ”They are carrying, make sure you get their weapons before they see Jaydn.” Then she nodded to them all and called to Jamie, ”Come on, let’s go find Nori while we wait for Jaydn, he’ll be glad to see you.”

Nori lay undisturbed in the dark of his room. The blinds were drawn, and only the faintest slits of sun were creeping through. He was laying on top of the covers, half asleep, on his bed. All of the normal rituals of the day had been done abnormally early in the day, so that he might have the luxury of being by himself for a while. The upbeat attitude that was so natural for Nori was now down a few notches. Today was the 5 year aniversary of his older brother Ehren's suicide.
The sharp, high tones of Nori's cellphone started ringing and nearly made him jump out of his skin. Heart still racing, he grappled his hand toward the phone;not as much trying to answer it, as trying to halt the shrill noise of the ringtone. Without even looking at the the number, he flipped the phone open and brought it to him without lifting his head from the pillow.
"Uhhn...Hello?"
"Good evening Michael. It's evening over there, isn't it? I'd expected you to be awake."
"Dad?"
That was a voice he had not been expecting; The familiar and handsome voice of his father. Not to mention, only his family called him by his middle name.Nori sat up to compose himself. It was an unexpected call, especially since Nori had no idea how his father had gotten ahold of his American cellphone number.
"What is it?"
"That's some way of greeting me."
"Ah, sorry,"Nori replied meekly. "It's just that...Aren't you busy?"

"I'm always busy." He had switched over to German. He must be in the company of English-speaking clients."I just wanted to see if you were feeling okay. Especially today."
That was surprising...But then again, Nori never really doubted his father's favoritism."Ah, thanks. Maybe I should be asking you the same thing though. I'm okay."
"You locked yourself up a room somewhere didn't you?"
"..."

It was true, Nori had always been thought to have taken Ehren's death the hardest.
"In any case, Michael, I would have thought you'd have come to visit you're brother's grave. I never had a problem with your plans to study abroad, but the fact that your name isn't registered at any prestigious American Universities is a bit unsettleing to me."
" !!! " He knew that too?!
"I can understand that you might want to have a bit of a 'vacation', or whatever it is you're doing, but you're too talented to be wasteing any time without education. You could just as easily be here in Germany. Where are you? "
"I'm with a friend... A couple of friends I should say. "
"And?"
" And...I'm with Kyrin Matsui, Dad. "
There was a pause for a moment. Nori knew that his father had been known to have shady bussiness associations with the Matsui family, and allied mafia families alike. With an underground blackmarket in his possesion, and a great influence over Bovarian Motor Works, Varick Blauvelt, his father, had many quiestionable bussiness partners.
"A Matsui? Han's daughter?"
" Yeah. I'm with Kyrin and her men. So you don't have to worry about me. Er, as for education... I'm sorry, I've sort of been studying independently. "
"I see...I'm honestly surprised."He also sounded a little dissapointed. " I never expected for you too be involved in ...such things. I can't say I approve unless it's temporary. It's dangerous, and you're too valueable." Varick had never intended for his favorite son to rub shoulders with dangerous people. Nori was too educated, too timid, and overall too pure to throw it away.
" I understand. "
" Of course you do. I don't raise stupid children. You should also keep in mind that I won't blame Han's daughter if you get yourself into trouble. It will be your fault."
" I understand. "Nori repeated again. It was annoying, having to be lectured as his age.
"And what is your relationship with her? Are you dating?"
" No, Nothing like that. "
" I see. That's too bad. Anyways, I had better find your name registered somewhere by next year. I'm being extremely lenient and you know it. Otherwise, I'll see you back to Germany. I'll talk to you later. Goodbye."
He hung up, leaving Nori a bit more aggitated than he was earlier. At least he had permission to stay longer, but it felt more like a scolding. Nori lay back down on the bed and rolled over. He wanted to sleep for about a hundred hours, but his inability to sleep would probably take him downstairs within a few. With unkempt hair, he wandered around a bit like a zombie, and seeing an unoccupied couch, he crashed onto it and stared off into space.

Levi grinned at the twins in fake menace, then laughed. He was always friendly to strangers, unless he had been told to behave otherwise. "Levi, nice to meet you both." He held out his hand. Since moving, his hair had changed color again, to his natural reddish blond, and he hadn't been thinking to be exposed to anyone that day, so he was surprisingly toned down, black rimmed glasses, a vintage Pac-Man shirt, and jeans. But Levi retained his hyperactive, friendly demeanor despite all.

Jamie smiled at the mention of Nori's name. He had remained silent throughout their trip, not even introducing himself to Caiden and Riley, allowing Kyrin to do that for him. "Nori's here?" He asked, smiling, though trying so hard to hide childish happiness from his face and voice. He had missed the boy terribly, but he could honestly say that he would not have been surprised if he had forgotten all about skinny little Jamie. He tended to downplay his own presence in his mind in that way. Strangely, thinking of friends, he wondered if Ian had even bothered to follow Kyrin's people, or if he had gone back to New York, with news that he had been unable to procure Corleone's son.

User ImageCaiden smiled when Levi grinned and took the proffered hand. His shake was strong and confident. ”Caiden. Nice to meet you as well.” He then gestured to Riley, who looked a little less enthusiastic to be in their current situation then Caiden, and said, ”And my brother, Riley.” When acknowledged, Riley nodded a hello, but did not extend his hand. Caiden gave Riley a look then turned back to Levi, ”Miss Kyrin said that you were going to want our guns.” He said in a low voice. At this, Riley slipped his gun to Caiden in such a way that only the four of them would notice it happened and then Caiden handed them over to Levi in the same manner. ”I do believe we will be getting those back?” He said it in a questioning manner, but it was clear by his tone that it was not a question, but a statement. It kind of irked Caiden that Kyrin left he and Riley with two people that they hadn’t met, but the fact that Riley remained calm, helped Caiden not to say something that would be considered rude on turf that wasn’t theirs.

Riley looked around the building. It seemed that they were in a normal office building. A lot of floors, multitudes of people milling about. The only reason it all seemed off to him, was because he knew it wasn’t a normal office building. They did well hiding themselves. Riley thought, still glancing around. After he had given his gun to Caiden, he phased out of the conversation, watching Kyrin and her companion leave through the elevator. After watching them leave, Riley finally spoke, ”How long will we be waiting?” His voice was a little softer then Caiden’s and lacked the command that Caiden’s voice had, but it was still compelling.

"Yeah, to the best of my knowledge, you'll be getting 'em back, but that all depends on my employers. Don't know when they'll be back, or what they have to say on the matter. But I'm sure we'll be able to work something out." Levi shrugged. He was used to being around leaders, people who were far more in charge and better at it than he was, so neither Caiden nor Riley intimidated him. He looked at the guns, checked the ammunition, looked over them in interest. He looked back at Caiden and Riley, "Sorry I can't tell you more."

User Image”Yes. Nori is here.” Kyrin almost added, ‘why wouldn’t he be?’, but held her tongue as she noticed the smile on Jamie’s face. His smile was contagious and Ky smiled as well. She led the way to the elevator and punch in the code to get them up to the living quarters. Though the elevator ride was quick, it seemed unusually long to Kyrin as she knew Jamie’s excitement to see Nori. Can’t this thing go any faster? Once they were on the floor Kyrin went straight to Nori’s rooms and knocked. The sound of her knocking on the dark wood door was loud, swift. When she got no answer, Kyrin called curiously, ”Nori?” She waited again. When there was no answer to that Kyrin muttered, ”Perhaps the kitchen?” And led the way down this hallway and that, passing by paintings and mirrors as they went. There were so many different hallways and routes that it had taken Kyrin a good while to figure her way around the place. She was pretty good now that she knew most of the floors held the same layout. As she passed, Ky looked down the different hallways to make sure that she didn’t some how miss Nori. Almost to the kitchen, Kyrin noticed Nori’s familiar form splayed across a couch in an unoccupied room at the end of the hallway to her right.

Seeing Nori simply laying there was curious to Kyrin, He doesn’t normally do that… She thought, a little concerned. Approaching him, she said, ”Nori, Jamie’s here.” Her voice was soft, as if talking to a child who was having a bad day.

At the sound of Kyrin's nice voice, Nori popped out of his daydream. At first he hadn't rendered what she had said. "Hmm?" He still was a bit out of it. Upon turning around, his reality came dancing back. There was the ever elegant Kyrin smileing down at him, and next to her, the malnourished yet charming smile of Jamie.
He stood up immediatly. " Jamie!"
Although normally meek, Nori's shyness was conquered by his excitement and even gave him the briefest of hugs before going back to his usual compossure. "Ah, That is, ...It's been a while, hasn't it?" His hand immediatly went to the back of his hair.
Nori suddently felt very aware of how miserable he must look at the moment, what with his dissheveled hair and tired eyes. He had had Jamie on the mind for a while and he had started wondering if he was ever going to come back. He gave a small smile at Kyrin (they both had a friend back!) and then back to Jamie.

Jamie was more than grateful for the brief hug he received from Nori. He knew that the boy rarely gave hugs, and, admittedly, rarely was given them, which made the hug all that much better. "Yes, its been a while. I'm sorry for leaving, really I am. I missed you." Jamie stood before Nori, in all Jamie's disheveled, beaten and malnourished glory, and as downtrodden as Nori looked at the moment, seeing him again after so long, Jamie thought the boy was beautiful. "How have you been?"

User ImageFarther into the building, hidden amoung the bustling bodies of the occupants of the building, an office door opened. Stepping out into the rest of the building, Maddox nodded to the unseen person inside the room, "Yes, that would be good. Thank you."

Closing the door after him, he started off towards the main lobby, scribbling a few notes down onto the white notepad that he cradled in his left arm. He walked with his head down toward his notes, on autopilot but paying attention to those about him with his peripherial vision. He didn't want to bump into anyone and cause a problem. Once he lifted his head, he was standing at the main desk of the building. To anyone who happened to stumbling their way throught their doors by accident, the place was simply an office building for a number of small named entrepreneurs. Typically, they were left alone and forgotten quickly, having really nothing in or about their atmosphere which was in the least bit interesting or unique. Glancing about, Maddox noticed a small group of people standing about, close to the entrance. He recognized Charles immediately by his size and Levi by his style but the other two... they must have been the Flynn brothers. Hooking his pen to the top of the notepad, he made his way towards the group.

Once, reaching the foursome, Maddox braved a smile towards the twins first before turning to his fellow members. "Good to see you Levi, Charles." The quiet boy's voice floated barely audible amoung the dull hum of work about them. Holding the notepad close to him, the younger Matsui brother held out his right hand towards the twins, saying with a polite smile, his blue-grey eyes stating his sincerity, "Please to meet you. I am Maddox." He worked hard to keep his voice smooth, to carry a facade of coolness, and to ignore the desire to avert his eyes away from the eyes of the twins who seemed to look into his very soul and know that he was faking.

Riley noticed Maddox immediately, watching the younger man weave his way courteously through the throng of people trying to reach their destinations. His black hair and facial features gave him some resemblance to Kyrin and Riley wondered at their relation. He seemed to lack her self confidence and her air of leadership. In fact, he was the only of their crew who seemed to lack confidence. The men in front of him seemed confident enough. Levi was friendly and curious, but seemed to know his place and the other man, apparently Charles Sweetland, had yet to say anything or even properly introduce himself; he merely stood and watched the two new comers, but he exuded power. Shifting slightly as Maddox greeted who Riley could only assume were coworkers, he looked the other man over. Maddox was quite a few inches shorter then the twins and his eyes were an interesting blend of blue and gray, which was curious to Riley. Is he not full Japanese? He wondered, Must not be. With that thought in mind he was curious as to whether or not Kyrin was full Japanese. Her eyes were brown, but there seemed to be something off about this. Until seeing Maddox, Riley had thought nothing of the curiosity he felt when he looked Kyrin in the eyes, but now it was bugging him. When Maddox introduced himself, Riley stayed quiet and waited for Caiden to make the introductions.
Caiden was too busy being amused with Levi’s inspection of their weapons to noticed Maddox weaving his way towards them. Caiden was swaying slightly back and forth where he stood, not doing anything was not a strong point of his. Looking at Levi, Caiden noticed his characteristic Irish features and thought fondly, Someone to drink with. At Levi’s answer to his ‘question’, Caiden said nothing. Although Levi wasn’t completely sure if he would be getting his gun back, Caiden was quite sure that he would. When Maddox made his final steps up to the groups, Caiden looked up at him in interested and seemed to look him over as well. To Caiden, he seemed to be someone of little importance, perhaps someone to take them where they were meant to go. A little timid, this one. He thought as he shook Maddox’s hand. ”Caiden Flynn.” He said before letting go of Maddox’s hand and gesturing to Riley, ”And my brother, Riley.” Again, as a couple minutes prior, the line from Caiden caused Riley to nod his head in acknowledgement. With the introductions out of the way, Caiden went straight to business, thinking perhaps Maddox would have more information for him, ”Will you be taking us to Jaydn now?”

"I missed you"
Me?
For some reason those simple words were enough to warm Nori's cheeks a bit. As for how he was...well, saying "Fine" in his condition would be an obvious lie. He glanced to the usual spot on the floor."Er, I'm just tired is all." he replied, pulling his hair. He saw Kyrin in the corner of his eye and could tell that she could see right through him.
"W-Well anyways! You're staying for dinner right?" He asked hopefully. Nori had no way of knowing how long Jamie intended on staying. "In that case, we can properly welcome you back!"
