I've always pictured Edward with a British accent. -drool- Carlisle, too, but they're the only ones. I know it said that Edward talked in a more 'old-fashioned' style, but I don't think it ever said for sure that he had an accent of any kind.

MysticKoi no. Don't get me wrong, i love british accents (and irish*swoon*) but the number 1 thing i like about Edward is that he's not the tipical vamp that you read in books or see in movies. He wasn't some knight in a kingdom far away. He's not Euro Sexy, he's 100% pure amican sex! and though i do like me a good UK boy, I LOVE my Home Grown Country Boys. heart hee haa heart I totally AGREE! i like his soft, velvety american voice. the british thing is a cute concept, but it would distract me from the real quality of his words and his tone.

For me it's the total opposite. When I read him in an American accent, his words lose all the meaning.
But that happens with all the characters! sweatdrop

But when I imagine him with a different accent, I'm not paying attention to what he's saying, just how he's saying it. So I'm not concentrating on the beauty of his words... if that makes any sense =S
