It occured to Chuiwa'karatasi that this competition was about finding the biggest butterfly, rather than who could catch a butterfly first. Perhaps if he calmed down and slowly worked his way through the tall grass and bushes, he would be able to catch one. That just wasn't his style though, so it wasn't long before he was running again in an effort to track down another large patch of wild flowers.
He soon came across another patch, and immediatly spotted his prize. It was a large orange and black butterfly, perched delicately on one of the many flowers. Grinning, he dropped to his stomach and began to crawl towards it. It was so big, he would have to catch it with both paws! If he caught it, there was no way that Tien could beat it.

Tien was feeling slighly rushed, she couldn't let Chuiwa beat her! She was just about to turn around when something else caught her eye...a butterfly! Her heart thummed against her chest as she crept closer to the butterfly, taking in its black and tan coloring. Now, how would she bring it back in one piece...then an idea came to her.
She lowered her head and picked out a rather large, colorful flower. She'd lure the butterfly back. Gently, she placed the flower on her head, behind one ear so that the flower had someplace snug to be but she could still talk. Then, she slowly walked towards the butterfly and once it started fluttering around her and landed on the flower, she smiled. Caught it! With the butterfly preoccupied, she walked back towards where she was supposed to meet Chuiwa slowly so that she wouldn't disturb the butterfly too much.

Chuiwa'karatasi wasn't quite as smart as Tien. He continued to crawl along on his stomach until he was right in front of the butterfly. He then lunged forward, paws outstretched, and grabbed the fragile insect as carefully as he possibly could. When he landed back on the ground with a thud, he stared at his cupped paws. The butterfly was flapping its wings like crazy, with his toes and claws keeping it caged. "Yes!"
It was only after catching the butterfly that a problem dawned on Chuiwa; how the heck would he get it back to Tien? "Umm....Tien? Hey Tien!" He called out, hoping that the female would be in earshot. If not, he would just have to let it go.

Each step was taken with caution as Tien's pale eyes looked forward. Where was Chuiwa? Just as she was thinking about him, his voice drifted over her way...or was she imagining it? Her ears perked forward, nope it was him! She called out to the male, "Chuiwa! I'm coming!"
She walked slowly towards the sound of his voice. Did that mean that he won then? She didn't know, but regardless she wanted to see what he had caught. It didn't take her too long to spot the male against the horizon. She noticed that he looked like he was holding something and realized that must be the butterfly. She giggled softly as she flicked her tail, "Did you catch one, Chuiwa?"

Chuiwa'karatasi grinned as he spotted Tien on the horizon. The grin soon faded though when he also spotted the huge butterfly that was perched on a flower she had tucked behind her ears. He quickly looked down to his catch, knowing full well that this was going to be a close one.
"Yeah I did!" He called back as he waited for her to reach him. When she did, he motioned down to his cupped paws. "Check it out." He grinned, hoping that she would be impressed. "Yours is pretty big, but I think mine is the winner." As with almost everything he did, Chuiwa'karatasi displayed great confidence.

As he confirmed his catch, Tien was curious. She wanted to see his butterfly! She had finally made his way over to him as she smile brightly, "I caught a butterfly too! It even liked me so much as to hitch a ride with me." She laughed softly before she bent her head forward to peer at his butterfly.
It was nice and colorful, perhaps the same size as hers or was it bigger? Her pale eyes looked it over a bit longer before she shifted her gaze to him, "I think..." She tilted her head slightly and that disrupted the butterfly. It fluttered away from the flower on Tien's head. "That you're the winner of this round, Chuiwa!" She nodded, "I think that your butterfly is close to mine, but a little bigger!"

Chuiwa'karatasi grinned widely as Tien conceeded defeat. "Yes!" As a said that, he lifted a paw to punch the air, allowing his winning butterfly to escape. As he watched it fly off, he continued to grin. "That is one big butterfly."
When he got to his feet, he turned to Tien. "Yours was almost as big though." He winked playfully. "Better luck next time, eh?" Although Chuiwa'karatasi wasn't sure if there would be a next time, he certainly hoped there would. He had had a lot of fun today. "It was nice meeting you Tien. Don't be a stranger! I hang around this area quite a lot." The pale green male thought it best not to tell her that he was a member of the Pride Lands, just incase she thought differently of him because of it.
(( ^^ I would say this is pretty much finished. =D We can start a new one between them whenever! ))

With a nod, Tien smiled at Chuiwa, "Of course! I'll be around for a while now that I know you're here. It's nice, so that I don't get lonely." Being by herself made her lonely more often then not, but regardless, she was happy to have met Chuiwa. Now, she had something to look forwrd too.
She turned and started to head off for a meal, but not before she turned to glance back at Chuiwa, "I'll see you soon, Chuiwa!" With one last glance at the male, she turned back and headed away to hunt.
