Idk. A lot of the cast has their moments like Duckie said, but its obvious Kuwabara is meant to be the comedic relief. However, if you listen to the dialogue closely, you'll find yourself cracking up, especially with Yusuke. XD

I do see very subtle and hilarious puns and innuendos and Yusuke's speech. I also think the way that he, Hiei, and Kurama all interact is always great for lulz.

Def agree always and forever with InkMistress! It's always makes me giggle (and sometimes laugh to the point where I have to pause the show) to see the guys and characters in general, interact with each other. =D

I dunno. Yusuke makes me laugh more often than Kuwabara.
But I think the four get a lot of their hilarity off each other, and are more funny together rather than alone. As for apart from the group, Yusuke and Kuwabara can pull off the funny pretty damn well. I tie them, I figure.
But as for funniest character? I dunno what ya'll are smokin', but I LOL like a madwoman every goddamn time The Beautiful Suzuka makes an appearance. XD
I think I find him funny beyond just character, though - his English voice had this tone that keeps me amused for hours afterward.
But seriously. He made me laugh more than anyone else in that show. I think "gay clown" takes the cake for humor, in my opinion. I'm sorry. Nothing any of them can say can top a man popping out in a clown suit, taking himself SERIOUSLY, and then ranting and raving about how beautiful he is. I think there was a moment when he twirled and ...I believe he made a song-like noise? xDDD Oh God.
He's most certainly not the best with the jokes and the punchlines when he talks later - but I feel his appearance was just one big joke in itself, and I find his ego and his superiority complex within wearing a clown suit to be absolutely hilarious. biggrin
I thought Koenma was the comic relief character, not Kuwabara...
Though I still stand by Yusuke being the funniest when it comes to dialouge and behavior. xD Yep. I untied him from Kuwabara after my Suzuka rant. razz

Teekaymon I thought Koenma was the comic relief character, not Kuwabara... I think they've both got elements of a comical relief. They're both goofy and sometimes crazy when the others are serious, something that's supposed to be indicative of a comic relief. I've thought that they share the roll, seeing as they don't spend very much time together throughout the series, and comic reliefs tend to be spread out to avoid too much tomfoolery.

havishanta I think JORGE THE OGRE is a comic relief. : > Oh yeah, him too! But he didn't get enough camera time to really be considered a solid character, in my humble opinion. V.V

V.V Geroge the Ogre is a good hunk of the comic relief in Yu Yu Hakusho... As for him not being a solid character... well at the end of the series you find out he's the narrator. That should count for something shouldn't it? Also, he's usually on screen with Koenma, save for the chapter black saga... so he essentially gets as much air time... I think he's pretty soild, but that's just me.

Yeah, but how much of his personality is revealed through the narration? And there is absolutely nothing funny about "will Hiei survive? Tune in next time for Yu Yu Hakusho!" lol.

Hahaha! What are you talking about. It shows PLENTY of his character. It shows he's a very dramatic person who likes to tell stories and...um...is kinda stupid for even WONDERING that question. XD
"Will Hiei survive?"
No, the bad guy is going to sneak up behind him and strangle him while he does the Hokey Pokey wearing the expression of an approached Dodo bird.
(Hahaha...oh wow that was mean. Kinda glad Hiei's not real right now...I'd be dead. ^^; )
