Selaba blinked, surprised at the sudden move. Then she stretched up and kissed Axel back before nuzzling against him.
"Happy Valentine's Day," she said simply, since she realized she hadn't said it yet. After a moemnt's thought she added, "If you're still hungry, we could get more strawberries."

Axel smiled down at Sela as he brought her in and huggled her tightly, like he was afraid if he let go she would vanish in to thin air.
"Happy Valentine's Day"
After a few minutes the male's stomache gave an interupting protest.
"...I think more food would be nice right now..."

Selaba nestled in his arms, enjoying the feel of his warm embrace and the slightly smoky smell of his coat. (A brief thought fluttered through her head, wondering why he smelled smoky, but it soon drifted away and was forgotten.) She enjoyed the moment just as much as her mate and was more than happy to stay there for as long as it lasted.
Then his stomach growled again, making her giggle. "Ok, then," she said, carefully getting up and waiting for him to do the same. "I'm starting to get a bit hungry myself."

Axel jumped up only to stumble back down from the sudden rush of dizziness.
"Maybe jumping was a bad idea." He sat down and rubbed his temples to ease the pain in his head. With out thinking, Axel snapped his fingers to create a flame to see if the smell of the smoke could ease the pain a bit more.

Selaba stared at the suddenly appearing flame, burning in Axel's hand without any fuel and apparently without burning him.
"Hey, how'd you do that?" she asked, very puzzled. She scooted a little closer to get a better look at the little fire.

Axel went wide eyed as he realized what he had done. Turning to puzzled Selaba, he noticed she wasn't anything like he had imagined her to be like if this ever happened.
"You mean you're not scared or freaked out by this!? You're not going to run around screaming or run off to hide!?"
At this point Axel had jumped up off the ground and was being all dramatic.
"Are you telling me I have been hiding my powers around you all this time for nothing!?"

Selaba looked up at him with a surprised expression, which fased into an amused one. Her mouth quirked into a half-smile as she replied.
"There are other Namrah have unusual powers. Why would I be freaked out by you having one? If you used it to burn down things for no reason or attack people, that'd be one thing, but if you've been hiding it for so long I doubt you've done anything that dramatic with it."

Axel laughed nervously as he rubbed the back of his head and slightly turned away.
"Hehe...right...right..."
'Just go with it Axel. No reason to tell her what you've done in the past. Here or there...'
"Well, as long as you have no problem with it, I guess it is fine then."

Her mate's apparent embarassment amused her as much as his overdramatic shock. Her tail swiched back and forth as she chuckled.
"Well, with that sorted out, why don't we go get those strawberries now. Unless you have anything else you'd like to share?" The last sentance was spoken in a gently teasing tone.

Axel's tail swished idoly as he crossed his arms over his chest a and pouted like an child.
"No, I have nothing else to share. Do you have anything to share since we are being so open at the moment?"

"Well..." Selaba said and thought for a second. "...I'm the reincarnation of an ancient leopard warrior spirit." She said this with a perfectly serious expression, staring straight into his face.
A moment later she cracked up. "I'm surprised I said that with a straight face. Nah, I've got nothing interesting to reveal. The most interesting thing about me is my extensive family, and you know that already. That and that I've got the hottest mate on Namiah." She grinned at him, partly because of the bad pun.

Axel stared at his mate with a confused and weird expression.
"Nice bun there love." He coughed a bit and turned his head away. "Though, I can't complain since I am a hot and sex piece of art." Axel chuckled to himself since he really thought it was true.
"Now then," The male got up and dusted his old uniform off, "we shoudl really be getting to those berries before I eat my own fingers out of hunger."

"Yes, I'm fairly sure eating yourself counts as cannibalism, and that's generally frowned on," Selaba agreed. She started to lead the way to the barry patch, then glanced back at the basket. "Do you want to bring that with us? They tend to be handy for picking fruit. Unless we'll be eating everything right there."

Grabbing the basket Axel followed after Sela.
"...how long until we get there?"

(I suppose we're conveniently assuming that strawberries are in season, even though it's winter. razz )
"It's not too far," she answered as they strolled through the forest. After a minute or two of walking, they came to a small thicket of strawberry plants. It was in a slight opening of the surrounding trees, too small to be a proper clearing, but big enough that the tree camopy parted a bit to let some warm shafts of sunlight shine down on the fruit plants.
