meh...when I was little, my parents tried really hard to keep me sheltered from most of that stuff...
Their own stupidity screwed it up, and that's why I am this way today...Huray for parental stupidity!

Also, NaySlayer, I'd remove your signature. It's 125 or so over the width limit, and they'll disable it. That reminds me, we need to make sure some of those banners are within the limits for Gaia's Signature Guidelines. I don't want anyone paying gold to get their signature back like I did. :-/

i remember finding a book in the library too!!! i was i 5th grade with my friend and it was some sort of sex ed book, we just kind of giggled at it and paged through it with fascination 3nodding

I've actually SEEN the pop-up Kama Sutra... but it was only this year & it WAS in the Adult section of the bookstore...
As for stumbling across kinky stuff, when my sisters & I were little, we used to watch random Japanese movies that came on really late at night (you know, the kind that are basically porn with a storyline) & also whenever they'd have one of those weird doccumentaries on "English Sex" which would also be on late at night (damn those Brits are kinky!)... we never got found out though *grins*

There wasa children's book about reproduction at my college library that was a favorite among my classmates and I. It had photos of paper-cut collages for illustrations. With simple text explaining how lovemaking was what mommies and daddies did to make babies, there were pictures of chickens, dogs, and tigers mounting each other and getting it on!
When it came time to show the humans, there was a large bed... and a man and a woman, dressed under the covers, holding hands. Yeah, kids. That's how we reproduce. Now what do you do when the new neighbors try to chake your hand? That's right. Run and scream.
