Tahnia laughed at Jii's reaction to her questions, but she listened attentively to him answer them. She nodded as he spoke. She could understand where he was coming from and why he felt the way he did. And she was enjoying the not-so-subtle flattery, too.

"I get that. You just seemed a bit standoffish, and I thought I'd ask." She smiled at him. "So, let's try and break down that wall of distrust, shall we? I still want to know more about you, and you can ask me whatever you want to know, of course." Her tail gave a little flicker at the tip as she waited for him to respond to her.

The smirk stayed in place, and the dark cheetah gave Tahnia a small nod and a bit of a shrug. "Fair enough, I guess. Okay... let's see... what was it you asked me, again? - tch, trust a woman to throw out weird questions like that. Completely threw me off - Oh, right! Where I live, if I have any family and my hobbies."

Jii let his long, thick tail curl neatly around his paws again. "I live everywhere and nowhere. The whole savannah is my home, and I come and go as I please. Free as the wind." He gave the twilight-coloured female a sidelong glance. "Don't have any family either. It's just me... and the billowing grass of the plains. As for hobbies, well... I suppose hunting is what I like to do best. Oh, and wrestling with hyenas."

The last part was said with a big, mischievous grin, and he winked at her just to make sure that she would know that he was joking this time.

"So how about you, pretty lady? Is this your territory? What do you like to do in your free time?" A vague undertone of seriousness crept into his demeanour, but he kept his playful smile in place. "...Got any family I should perhaps know about...?"

Tahnia laughed as he added the bit on hyena-wrestling. She really liked this cheetah; he was funny in a tasteful way, if a bit prone to telling tall tales.

"Mmm, no family here, either. I never knew my parents, or siblings, if I had any. And there's no lover to speak for, either. I pretty much follow the food, home-wise; I settle down near the smaller groups of zebras and gazelles. I don't have a coalition to travel with, so..."

Tahnia gazed balefully at the male. It was strange how much they had in common, but she assumed that could be said of most cheetahs. So then... what now?
