_Amber_Kohaku_Suki Pinata head Glaneib kaerou13170 I actually use sixth and seventh alot. Our band director likes the low F. I don't have the F attatchment, I wanted to get one but they're expensive and I just finished paying my trombone off last year. So I'll stick with my good buddy Mister Bone. Yes, he has a name, don't laugh. stare Normaly i probaly would but i named mine too..only for a good reason tho! Me too, his name is Thomas Trombone (thats mine, the school's is Mr. Spiky Slide) My Trombones name is Tony ^.~ My trombone is named T.B. Cheese (don't ask xd )

yes, the f attachment does leak into ur brain and makes you forget about 6th and especially 7th, but lately i've been doing more low notes and finding that it sounds better in those positions than with the thumb trigger. but i still use it for fun doing the jaws thing in first instead of going from 1 to 6 and back... (Bb and C) but if you play a very low Eb then you need the trigger, it's (T)3 1/3 or so...

I don't mind 6th that much, but I despise 7th, I have an audition in a few weeks and it has a bunch of low B naturals, practicing it makes my arm feel like a wet noodle.

Kuruu Hyuuga _Amber_Kohaku_Suki Pinata head _Amber_Kohaku_Suki Triger? eek Wuzat? (I feel really stupid... I don't know what a triger is and plus I don't think I've played half those notes in 6 or 7 position at all...) trigger, f attachment, its the thing u use to not have to go to 6th and 7th. it makes a trombone have to have a bunch of pipes Oh... Thanks for the explanation... (I think I'll stick to 6th and 7th position, though ) sweatdrop After a while, the F-attachment leaks into your brain and takes over, making you forget that 6th and 7th positions ever existed stare 6th and 7th positions? What am I talking about?! I must be going crazy! gonk You still use those positions in specific situations. Some pieces of music may have a section where not using the trigger sounds better. Though it is used a lot.
