Simi stood where he was for a moment, catching a good look at the area that Tufah had led her to. It was...interesting. That was the best term that Simi could summon in his mind. The dam, the gathering of water, how there was really no chance of danger...all so strange, but so interesting!
He realised that it probably didn't look good for him to sit there and stare, especially when what he was staring at was a pretty female. He shook his head, trying to clear away his mind before he inched down to the edge of the pool.
"Is it cold?" he asked. It was deep enough that it probably was, the sun could only warm puddles to a comforting temperature. He gingerly tapped a paw in the water, feeling just how cold it really was. Yikes. Tufah'd probably make fun of him for it, too.

"If you swim, you'll warm yourself up. I'm already getting used to it." She lied - she was cold - but soon enough it'd be true. She'd gone out far enough she was treading water to keep her head above the surface, now. But quickly she swam back to the edge and came out of the water to encourage him.
"Come on in, it's nice, I promise."

Ugh. Well, he knew it was cold, and the fact that if he kept moving in the water he would grow accustomed to it, and it would feel warm. But those first few minutes were never really fun, especially when you weren't the only one in the water....and was the last one to get in.
With a gulp, he quickly slipped in the clear pool, doing his best to keep a straight face as the cold snapped at his limbs. Well, he tried, but he was sure a hint of discomfort would peek through his face.
"Brrr!" was his reaction to the cold, though he soon laughed at himself for it. It did feel good, especially after it had been quite a while since he'd taken a real bath.

"Brr?" She chuckled. Goofball. Who actually said that!
With a sudden thought, Tufah slipped over to the side of the nearest cliff and carefuly pawed off her onyx necklace. She didn't want to loose it. While the bottom wasn't too deep to dive to, it'd be a pain to try to fish for it. Then she slipped back into the water and swam over to where Simi was, enjoying it immensely.

Simi hovered where he was in the water, watching Tufah curiously. It took him a moment to realise what she had just done. OH! Duuuh.
He swam over towards where she had just left, slipping his own stone right next to Tufah's. It only seemed right, since then he wouldn't manage to lose his, either. Besides, he'd probably get an earful about loosing it, even from himself!
He then returned to where Tufah was, where he actually just was. Hopefully she wouldn't think it was some sort of game! He grinned at her, a bit like a goof. "Feels good now, I guess. Warming up."

He seemed so jumpy. Hm.
"Mm, it is." She inclined her head towards his, close as she could without swimming into the poor thing, with a seductive purr and hooded eyes - watch me, not the paw, watch me not the paaaw. Then swooshed her paw round to bat his shoulder lightly. Then it was time to dart, well, swim hastily away.
"Tag!"

Simi couldn't help but get sucked into her movements. Really, he was a guy, and he did have a crush on Tufah. Even if...he didn't really realize it yet.
"H-hey!" He was startled when she had tagged him. What? A game? But he didn't agree to that!
He soon swam after her, trying to catch up to the lioness. He wasn't this out of practice with swimming, was he? He certainly seemed to swim much slower than she was right now!

Tufah slowed to let him catch her was caught after a few minutes.
She was girl, a pretty girl, who liked getting attention from tasty guys. Couldn't help it. And she was in the process of realsing that hey, not a bad idea. Trying to mess ith Simi's head and win his friendship and protection was one thing. But the boy was fine, he as royal and maybe he could be hers. There was charming then there was Charming.
"Having fun?"

Ah! Finally! He obviously wasn't the best swimmer, and he did take a guess that she was going easy on him, but he wasn't going to point that out. That was hardly proper, and for some reason, spending more and more time around Tufah made him want to be just a bit more proper.
He grinned. "Maybe I am," he replied with a small splash, though not in her direction. It was obvious that he was, though. "I hope you are."
He hovered where he was in the water for a moment, before moving himself to an area that was a bit more shallow. Just enough that he could stand on the floor of the pool, so he wouldn't waste all of his energy just trying to stay in one place in the water.

"Mm. Yeah." She watched him find a shallower place and then found herself an edge where she going lay on her side and lay the water meet over her shoulders. So cool. Was nice now she'd warmed up. Mm, and her fur was all swooshy and felt sorta loose. If even made sense.
"So. How've you been since last we met?"

Simi stood where he was, feeling the water shift around his limbs. It was relaxing, and he could feel himself getting lulled by it's movements.
"Ummm," he started, trying to jumpstart his brain again. "Alright, I guess. I think....I'm almost ready to move out, really." He shifted a bit uncomfortably, since the topic felt strange, but he didn't really have anyone else to talk to about it. He hadn't seen Tahka in a while.

"Oh really? Any idea whereabouts you're moving to? Picked out a den~?" She enquired, lifting a paw to trace patterns in the water, eyes on the ripples it made. Tufah cast a glance back towards him. Listening.

Simi shook his head, small water droplets falling off of his growing-in mane and dancing along the surface of the water. His eyes looked sad.
"No, not a clue. Iiii don't know. Maybe I'll just wait a bit longer. I don't want to leave and then feel like it was too soon." He poured out his thoughts, not really thinking too much about exactly what was coming out. "Sometimes I just feel a little alone at home. I have a hunch some of the family is moving out soon, too. Just by the way they've been acting." His tail slithered behind him like a snake, creating ripples that proke the smooth surface of the pool.

"I know the feeling. Sort of - I moved out as early as possible into my own place but my family were still around. But after mother died having my youngest siblings, and everyone was planning to make their Outlands, I felt alone." More swirling patterns in the water, seemingly taking up all her attention, then -
"Until a friend snapped me out of it." She smiled, attempting to meet his eyes. "...only move out when you're ready and when you do let me know where you're at."
A pause. Vague smirk.
"Can bring you a fur rug as a cave-warming gift."

Simi grinned. He actually wasn't sure if that friend was him or not, but because he was a boy, and wanted to be a bit conceited, he just let himself be convinced that it was indeed him.
"I guess that's a piece of me that still doesn't get drawn to do it; I'm afraid I'll lose my family. But...maybe I'm just being weak, thinking about that."
He shifted around in the water, and couldn't help but drift slowly towards Tufah, though only a piece of him realized that. Most of him was just thinking about his family, since he had mentioned them. Pity he couldn't really concentrate on what was right in front of him.
