The point of the picture is to look artistically arousing. Smut is smut, trying to cover it up with the ~*~*~~~ it's not smutty at all it's pure brilliant art~ ffffffffff ~*~*~*~ Those who can take a good picture though, hats off to them. I wouldn't want to deal with pussies all day, dealing with one is hard enough :p

The Iconoclast I cannot fathom how you thought your statement would not raise anybody's ire. If you are a conscientious person and desire not to offend people, perhaps consider being more specific in the future. It is only the responsible thing to do. Perhaps, but I think you took my intent a few steps farther than you should have chill homes I'll be careful from now on teacha

Seriously wtf, There's so much 'porn' art on DA for free I could like jack off to it if I wanted to jesus. But I can't really complain since I am into erotica. lol
Also, I hate HATE it when people draw women with no shape to them at all. Or if the torso is too long and skinny and it's seemingly impossible for them to stand up straight without breaking apart. Tish knows what I mean, like that one s**t comic artist. scream Or like in hentai when they only blur out specific parts of the genitalia but you can obviously see what's there. example? When they have a scene with the v****a in view and only blur out the clitoris. lol Wtf.

Well, it really depends on how you define good/bad art. Such a definition is likely to be one of the most subjective things in the world.
Because, if there are odd things I don't like, then how can I say an art is good?
Hmmmm... I think it can be understood as asking about little irking details about art that you already have an established opinion about as being generally good. or. The things that trouble you enough to consider an art bad. In which case it is hard to be concise.
Taking the first branch, an art that I think is good can irritate me if it has a certain detail that seems to be drawn as if taken straight out of somebody's tutorial, like anime eyes and noses. I call this the 1-2-3 technique, because in this case the "artist" isn't thinking about what's he's drawing, but is rather repeating, blindly, the moves and lines that he has seen in a certain tutorial. Taking this a little further, I tend to lose a bit of respect for artists who have great masterpieces in their galleries when I hear they went to an art school or college; just enough to put us on equal levels, despite my bad art compared to theirs.

I will never understand how or why mentorship lessens an artist's 'worth'. It seens counterintuitive to suggest this.

it's the whole talent over skill mentality
BUT YOU NEED BOTH TO BE A GREAT ARTIST most people who go to art school have both, and certainly great artists have both and I dont understand how that makes them less of an artist or a talent in art school they dont like whisper ideas into your ears so that you no longer have any individual thought anymore what I always saw art school as is a way that I can perfect my technique so i can more adequately describe the ideas I have in the way I want to.
maybe people dont like the pretentiousness of it all?

My husband convinced me squarely that talent is a figment of people's imagination.
I stand by this assertion. Perhaps foolishly.
