Kelello's head tilted in confusion, but the bones jutting out of her collar dug into her skin like needles with the movement, and she shifted her neck straight again with a whimper.
She was confused, of course, because she had known that she belonged to the Graveyard Pack since the day Mafa had stumbled across her as a puppy. What she hadn't given much thought to was being Mafa's personal slave. Somehow the idea seemed much more terrifying than simply being the slave of the pack itself. And now, apparently, there were more slaves on the way, other than those nestled in her womb. Dear Gods...
"Matron Slave," Kelello repeated with wide eyes. The words were said with such distaste that they dripped off her tongue like poison. Matron Slave. So, she thought, not only would she be living in this hell, but she would be contributing to it as well. This life, she could live. But it would sicken her to see others do it as well. And to be helping enforce such acts of hatred...
No, I won't! Never! Her mind screamed, and for a moment it was her resolution to communicate it. However, when her eyes leveled with Mafa's, the urge to defy her dissipated. It was true fear and helplessness that finally led the young wild dog to answer.
"I will do as you wish."
Kelello hated who she was becoming.

Mafa huffed roughly out her nose as Kelello seemed to mull over the information being laid out before her. Mafa had noted that the wild dog was quite a deep thinker; she deemed this as a good thing, however, as it was much better than having a slave with a wayward tounge.
"Yes."
The alpha was curt with her rebuttal. There was clear disdain in the dog's voice, but Mafa wanted to engrain in her brain the fact that was going to be following orders, and complying with them flawlessly, for the rest of her life. And if Mafa had a word in it; a long life. Mafa caught the young dog's gaze as it was mulling over this proposal further. Her eyes widened fiercely as there seemed to be doubt in Kelello, however, her response was satisfying. Mafa was quite proud of herself with how well Kelello was coming along,
"Yes, you will. Soon, I will show you the newest addition to your meager ranks, Ticdat, perhaps the most useless creature possible. However, she too, has a purpose. You can pass onto her all you know..."
With a deep, long sigh, Mafa waved a dusty paw about the air infront of her snout, in dismissal,
"As for now, you are free to go. Don't stray, little Kelello, be in earshot. I suggest you find yourself some quarters near here. You hear?"
Mafa craned her neck forward, closing in some distance between them. Her brow perked as her voice piqued with a question. Once Kelello had established herself a den, Mafa would do a responsible thing and bring the dog some of the next kill she made. Mafa was cold, heartless to many, but she took care of what was hers, there was no doubt in that.

Ticdat? Kelello's ears perked at the name. It sounded so.. familiar. She mulled over this for a moment before it clicked: Ticdat was the name of Kutu's sister, the one that he had told her had been taken by the hyenas. She had never really considered the possibility of Ticdat actually being here with these hyenas, however. The revelation was both a good and bad one, for although she felt terrible that Kutu's own sister would be subject to the misery that Kelello knew so well, she would have Kutu's sister, like kin, there to help her through her tribulations.. and the pups. Perhaps it was selfish to think of it like that, but she could not stop herself from forming a little smile before it quickly wiped away.
"I look forward to meeting this Ticdat. Thank you, Mafa, for allowing it," she said with a gracious nod.
She didn't understand the purpose for the bitterness in Mafa's voice, or the word 'useless', but simply shrugged it off as her captor's bitterness against wild dogs as a species. The details didn't matter; she would be meeting Ticdat. She would no longer be the only one.
"I will do so, if it will please you," she muttered after Mafa's instructions. When given the permision, she wasted no time in giving one last bow and turning to limp away. There were plans to be made.
(Well, I think we managed to touch on quite a bit in this RP. <3 ~fin)
