He allowed a faint snort of surprise to escape him, his silver gaze widening ever-so-slightly behind the mask of his mane. Just like that, something had snapped inside this mare, a split shift. A change within herself that would change her destiny as well. A rash decision?
It didn't feel like it.
"My home is in a cave deep within the distant woods... There is a grove there you may occupy, if it pleases you..." He rumbled slowly. "It will take some time to get there on foot..."
He turned silently and began walking, his mind turning over this strange change. "I will begin the journey now, unless you wish to say your farewells... If that is the case, I can return at nightfall..."
