I love how in this conversation everyone started talking about family members getting on their cases about liking J-Rockers...
I don't think many people are quite as lucky as Kuu-chan is. My mom doesn't really know what I'm into, but just from descriptions that my sister and her boyfriend mention out out once and a while (and they don't really flatter the poor guys), she thinks it's "disgusting."
I really think she'd faint or something if she knew the half of it...but I don't care. I think everyone in my family should just accept what I like.

By the way, going back to the original topic, I forgot to mention that I was totally thinking about iot being Ruki's birthday the whole day that it was February 1st...and maybe a bit on the latter half of January 31st since Japan is ahead of time than us... wink

However when my aunts and stuff come over to visit, ones from out of the country, they always have something bad to say about it.

Not that I have a problems with gay people or anything. <3

However she really likes the gazette lol XD, she even agreed to go to there concert if we ever get a chance which I hope that will be soon ^.^ I know alot of my family members mainly close cousins really like jrock, a funny moment was when my older cousin went to a chinese music store and asked for a gazette cd XD he really got a strange look that day lol

Wow, you guys were getting really deep in here while I was away. I think it's normal for other cultures to look down upon people who are different, but that doesn't necessarily mean I agree with it. I actually think it really sucks. but I know it happens. And the funny thing is that sometimes that works in the opposite, where because you're different, there are things that are attractive about other cultures too...
Since you mentioned the "gay" topic or being mistaken for a girl thing, it reminds me of what happened the other day. My friend likes to print out pictures of J-Rockers and put them on her binder and a guy in our class saw a picture of Uruha and said "that's a really hot girl." And we stared at him and said "it's a guy. Why would she put girls on her binder to stare at?" His reaction was extremely funny, but you could tell he thought it was wrong...*sigh*
I suppose only a few people understand and appreciate the beauty of J-Rock, huh?

When she gave them to me one of are friends were like wow that chick is hot, and I was like really look a little harder. He didnt get it when we told him it was a guy, he was like why you like guys like that and got all upset.
