Odin knew better than to give a strange cub a pat on the head, so instead he offerend her an assuring nod. "Exactly. See, you're getting it already!" He mentally purred at himself, pleased that he was able to teach the cute little cub something. Subconsciencly, he felt his slight bitterness towards lions fading a bit, the rough meeting of the other young lion far from his mind.
"It's always something good to remember, especially when you're on your own, once you get bigger," he added on.

Mrengo opened her mouth to reply, then paused as the far-off, but rapidly growing closer voice of Auntie carried to her on the breeze.
"Mrengo'angaa! Where are you, kitten? Naptime!"
Wincing slightly and rubbing a paw across her nose, Mrengo smiled up at Odin and began to back away, preporatory to turning and running.
"It was very nice to meet you, Mr Odin, sir," she began. "And I promise I'll think about what you just told me, but if I don't get back to Auntie, she might bite my nose again."
With a nervous giggle, Mrengo turned and with a final paw wave dashed in the direction of the voice.
"Commminnngggg Aunntttiiieee!"

Odin's ears heard the call as well, and he offered a reassuring nod to the cub. "Farewell, little Ren."
Well, now he could at least finally be on his way. His mind wandered as he pulled himself up onto his white paws, after he had made sure to wait a small time after the cub had run off. It was good for both of them to make sure that she didn't get in trouble with talking to an adult leopard. He let his tail swish behind him as he scanned the area, seeing that it had fallen silent again.
Without looking back again, he started back on his way to his destination.
