Azubuike was a little surprised to hear the female's answer. It seemed like the two had something in common; both were wanderers. "Same here," he replied, "I've been traveling from place to place for a while now."
Now he was curious. Azubuike had a reason for traveling around and wondered if Fiyali did too. "Do you wander around for a reason?" he asked.

"Not really," Fiyali replied easily. It didn't seem to bother her that her wandering was rather aimless ... and perhaps pointless too. "I left my family some time ago, and I ... maybe I'm just looking for another place to belong," she murmured softly.
Then she shook her head and glanced up. "Does that sound weird?"

"I don't think it sounds weird," Azubuike assured Fiyali. The male had never really had a family, so he had no reason not to stay in one place. What else would he do with his life? Now that he thought about it, Azubuike felt that he, like the female was looking for somewhere to belong. It is true that he is looking for excitement for his life, but the wild dog had been traveling for quite some time. He could use some place to finally belong to.
"I think it's a good reason," he agreed with a smile.

"Oh! You don't?" Fiyali asked, raising her head again. Well, that was good. Smiling quickly, she ducked her head for a moment and then raised it again.
"What about you? Do you have a reason for wandering around?"

Azubuike smiled at Fiyali's reaction. Had she expected him to think her reason sounded weird?
"Me..." the wild dog thought, trying to figure out how to answer Fiyali's question, "Well...I guess I'm just looking for some excitement. My life was pretty dull before, y'know? I just hoped I would be able find something to add to my life."

Fiyali smiled at that and nodded. "That makes sense, I guess..." And then, she glanced up, and noticed the position of the sun. Oops... it was getting late. If she wanted to catch herself some dinner, she had better get a move on.
"Ah... I'm sorry, I should be going," she said, actually regretting that they couldn't talk a bit more. But she was sure that he had other things to do, and so did she. "Maybe I'll see you again later?"

"That's fine," Azubuike flashed the female a smile. He was disappointed that they were finished talking but knew they would have to stop eventually. He knew it was getting late and figured he should we going aswell. After all, he hadn't yet had dinner and would need to get some before it got dark.
Azubuike stood up and stretched. "Sure," the male was always happy to talk. It was nice to have someone to talk to every once and a while. Plus, he never had much else to do.
