Nightdevil flicked his tail a few times an stifled a sigh. He would remember in the future to hold his tongue about personal failure around these cats; they may drive him off next time. After what seemed like hours of exploring the dark tunnels and finding no way out, the tom's irritation swiftly faded into nervous anxiety. Although he was of Shadowclan, moving around in pitch darkness was not exactly appealing, and when they came to the fork in the tunnels and escape seemed very possible, he stepped forward, inhaling audibly as he did. Although he wasn't too terribly tactful in speaking, his sense of smell was pretty good, and he could indeed smell the outside down both tunnels. "Well... which tunnel we chose depends on you, Snowbird. If you still wish to head towards the trees, then lead us through the tunnel more to the left; otherwise, I can smell heather from the tunnel straight in front of us, it'll lead us out onto the moor I bet." Nightdevil reported, twitching his whiskers anxiously as he did so. He no longer cared which direction they went, just so long as they got out of the tunnels and he could see starpelt overhead again.

Heartpool, a cat of little leadership qualities frowned."I think it would be a wise ida to look at the moor and see if there are any clues.."she looked at snowbird. "It simply seems a reasonable place to begin...althoug...they did have to run somewhere..." She twitched her tail and looked to starpelt "Starpelt..." SHe moved over to sit next to the cat. IT was getting to be a battle of wits and a battle of who would give the correct opinions... "What do you think?" SHe frowned her voice low as to not disterb the two. She tippd her head. "not of just the patrol...but your opinion on windclan and what not...i never had a chance to really talk with you..."

Starpelt simply mewed, "If we go East then we head for trees and prey. but South leads to moors. So eiter way will benefit I guess." She sat silently as Heartpool came closer to her. "Well, since we have no use of the territory WindClan should come back. According to StarClan there should be 5 clans in the forest." She whispered. Eyes glinting mischeiviously she added, "What's the use of all that spare prey?" But, she did so in an unhearable manner.

Snowbird became thoughtful. Going to the trees would be an escape more usual for forest dwelling cats.
"I think we should head south. We need to think like Windclan cats if we have any hope of finding them." With that he turned and headed down the heather-scented tunnel towards the moors.
As current patrol leader, I declare that we shall explore... South

You’ve found an abandoned barn, filled with tasty mice, but the only entrance is a very small hole! I hope you brought a small apprentice along!
If you do not have an apprentice, then END DAY.
If you do have an apprentice with you, they squeeze through and bring back lots of food! You’ve saved so much time you can explore some more! EXPLORE ONCE.
Shadowclan has no apprentices, therefore the day is over.

Starpelt looked disapointedly at the barn. She could have tried to get in but it was a to big a risk. She walked away from the barn alongside their patrol leader.

HeartPool could feel her stomach growling. she herd the noise and flushed. She was a medicine cat. Who would think she would be one of the first to have a traitorous body. She sighed and sniffed not finding any prey scent that was new enough to hunt

(Oh snap... where's an apprentice when you need one Xp tough luck...*tries to shove Nightdevil through the hole* Go on, fatty! >:3)
Nightdevil breathed a sigh of relief once they broke out onto the moor again, fresh grassland scents flooded his nose and his pelt smoothed out again. The tom was so exhausted that he only gave the two-leg place a half-hearted sniff as they passed. There was plenty of prey inside, but the only way in that he could spot was too small even for his slinky body. His hunger had long been forgotten and he was wiser to keep his maw shut about food. "Those caves took forever to get through; I'm glad to see them behind us." He meowed with relief lifting his ears towards Snowbird then glancing around them. He padded away from the twoleg place and looked around before lifting his head up and yowling back towards the group. He had found a shallow cave dug into a hill under a rock. "This looks like a good place to sleep for the night, and there's enough room for everyone." He sniffed around the area carefully to ensure that it wasn't home to any foxes or badgers before padding into the hollow and curling up in the soft dirt, circling a few times before tucking his nose under his bright red tail.

HeartPool nodded at NightDevil. "Yes...i agree." She looked at her pads and sighed. SHe looked about and frowned. She shivered slightly and curled herself into a ball. Hopefully she could just warm a bit then they would be ok. HEr back was to the barn the creacked with the wind.

Starpelt nodded and sat down then curled into a tight ball. She wasn't quite sleepy so she watched her clanmates.

Moonstar had been pretty quiet. She found a spot that wasn't too close to the other cats, atleast to Nightdevil and Starpelt. "And which direction do you suppose we go tomorrow? Were we can find some prey, perhaps?"

Snowbird gazed forlornly at the small hole leading into the prey-filled twoleg structure. Oh well, he had gone longer without food before. He padded to the shallow cave that the black cat had found. "Good job Nightdevil. I'll keep watch, get some rest everyone." As he spoke, he hunkered down and curled his tail about himself, keeping his eyes and ears alert.
"To the south is a river, and I don't know about any of you but my fish catching skills need a bit of work. Though, maybe If we follow the river eastward we might find a way across it." he said in response to Moonstar's question, "I think I saw something, a group of shrubs I think, in that direction. They might provide some prey." he continued, looking to his clan mates for their opinions.

"East sounds good." Starpelt mewed. "Going South would lead to the river but knowing WindClan they would probably go East because there is some water there for drinking."

Heartpool lifted her head. "I think east sound just about peachy to me... since i dont like water...or fish....it tastes bad and...Someone could get hurt...."She sighed"and Moonstar you will catch your death in the wind.... Here come here by the barn to cut the wind...ill even share my warmth...We cant have anyone ffalling ill...and snowbird...I sugest you attept to keep moving to keep everything in order...itsa going to be a cold night..." she looked at her clan mates... "If you wake me in a bit...i can keep watch so you dont have to stay up the whole night"
