--- Opposite the den the femme was wondering the same thing. He'd had his 'fun', he now had his pups, why pester her any more? The nerve to be addressed as any possession of his, treated like a prey or simple inanimate object. It drove her mad just knowing that she was unable to strike out against him. And in her current state of health it would be impossible to get far without her being caught and brought back.
--- The hunter and the hunted, she thought cynically, pacing against the back wall of the den. Her tail had dropped as the argument had gone on, and was drooping behind her dismally, threatening to tuck under her stomach in submission and fear. She couldn't stand staying under her stare, and the walls seemed more and more confined and choking to her.
--- The femme nearly shook at his voice after the silence, suspecting another snarling attack as had happened last time. She gave no nod nor acknowledgment of what he'd said, but she did stop pacing for the moment. If the pups were able to eat they'd be able to leave, if they were able to leave, she would as well.

Musketeer frowned as she paced and watched her closely before looking at her slightly surprised. He never would have guessed how nervous he had made her, slowly he lowered his body trying to seem less intimidating. He frowned and tilted his head gazing at her hopefully. "Necrala?" He whispered softly.
"Let me stay here with you...just these few nights..." He couldn't keep the hope from creeping into his voice. He wanted so badly to keep her and pups warm while they slept and ensure she had enough to eat.

--- Steeling herself up, the femme brought up some courage. He wouldn't attack her again here, not with his bloody pups around. His precious offspring, his heirs. If only they had all died in birth, instead of becoming the withering leeches they did. She watched him warily as he entered a more subtle and demeaning position. What was the meaning of this? Was he lying down? No, he couldn't be! He was leaving!
--- "No!" She snapped as quickly as the words came almost pleadingly from his mouth, on edge more than ever now. "No." The femme repeated herself, quieter this time.

Musketeer frowned his face took on the instant expression of one stricken with pain, but slowly he tried to hold back how much her rejection hurt him. He knew he could stay if he wanted to, he could lay right at that entrance and she couldn't stop him, but he didn't want to upset her anymore.
He frowned and slowly slipped back towards the entrance and exit of the den. He stopped and looked around "I should dig you another entrance, but the wind would come in stronger...your cold enough as it is..." He muttered. He looked at her again pleadingly hoping she would change her mind and let him stay beside her. "It would be warmer..." He offered.

--- Necrala felt no mercy for him whatsoever. Over the course of their relationship, from the first time he tripped over her to now, she'd been chased, she'd nearly been strangled, she'd been doted with fake affection more times than she cared to recall, she'd been taken advantage of, she'd been threatened nipped, gone into labor for four pups she never wanted, and now, he wanted to be close to her.
--- ". . . Leave." She growled softly, unsympathetic towards his romantic plight.

Musketeer looked at her a long moment before slowly turning and slipping out of the den with nothing but a whispered "I love you..."
As promised he delivered twice as much meat that morning for her and would continue to deliver all her meals trying to ensure she stayed healthy and warm.

--- Relieved, the femme watched her aggressor(or so she thought) leave her. Minutes she waited and stared towards the tunnel of an entrance, making sure that he was indeed gone before squeezing up the slope herself and checking the surrounding moon-lit meadow for any signs of Musketeer.
--- Shivering softly(she deduced it as nothing more than being cold) Necrala turned and slunk back into her den, curling up opposite the place where she originally slept, too un-nerved by this visit to eat what he'd left for her food. After hours she fell into a light, fitful sleep, to be awoken surely not an hour later by a noise somewhere outside the den.
