No, I like totally get it.
I look up refrences all the time and I already made it clear that I'm excited to start taking classes for LEARNING about BASIC s**t that I don't know.
I am all about learning.
I don't know what gave you any impression otherwise other then when I said I didn't use a reference for the horse.

On another note thanks for COMPLETELY SERVING ME gonk
I see now where I ******** up on the horses anatomy and I sort of feel like doing another centaur just for shits and grins to see if it turns out any better.

I don't know what re-imagining is.
Did you scribble over what I drew and morph into how it "should" be?
Or did you seriously just tablet that in a matter of seconds.

I did a blank layer on top of yours and started doodling over the torso, but if you go in and set that on top of the original drawing, the only thing that really sort of lines up is the shoulders - oh, and the hair in most parts, because you did well on the hair.

The rest of it is all different.

Funny thing is though the people in PP said the hair was WAY to high, which, it is, but I sort of liked it like that.

well

think of it as re-constructing the figure and s**t on the paper

instead of just COPYING what you see....you should strive to REBUILD/RECREATE it on the sheet of paper...

that way...the end result should be more solid'n'stable

How can you stand modding PP.
I hate almost everyone I run into there. :/

what why does the interesting stuff only happen when i'm at work every time i visit this guild its as dead as sinbad's career [hold for laughter]

blah blah anatomy anime etc, its a so-so execution of what is actually quite a lovely concept though. this is one of those kind of pieces i can see one going back to and redrawing a couple years later after theyve improved their skizillz a bit mrgreen

I look at peices from years ago NOW and wonder how the hell I ever thought that was talented.
But if I keep up with practicing,
and keep on getting better as rapidly as I have been (not sure if you have kept up on anything I've done) then I prob. will go back and draw a super centaur for mirenes.

actually i have been kind of and i HAVE noticed you improving wink to be honest i didnt know you could draw at all up until recently, much less with any kind of regularity or talent

the secret is to never try to stick with any "style"... which sounds obvious enough, but you always hear about people who want to develop their ~*~*~own personal drawing style~**~*~ and try so hard to make their art look distinctive that everything they draw looks the same. then its like so what, so i know its your art, that doesnt mean its interesting icon rolleyes dot gif

try lots of new things!! and most importantly never ever be satisfied, or at least for no longer than like a day

I recently just started thinking about that.
Like I have been trying so hard to get my ~~*~*~style~*~*~~* down, but I need to get a lot of other s**t down before I even attempt at a style. :/
Lately I've been rushing my lineart just so I can get onto photoshop and color it b/c that's what I've been into lately. Colors and PS skills and whatever.
Next peice I do I am really going to focus on the lineart.
Also, I might try a good ol fashion pencil sketch.
Like the one in Iconos sig.
I need to broaden my horizons and all that jazz

did you look at a ref of a horse? ~ok i just read through some posts. i agree the legs look human like that thought actually ran through my head before i read the thread and just looked at the work.~

also first thing that caught my eye- the hair in the tail looks rough
not as smooth as the rest (are you still working on it???idk)
but the hair on the hooves and bangs is very nice and smooth
and i think the way you did the hair on the horse body is a bit funky but its subtle so

oh and i do not like the clouds lol but thats me
and i wish you had added more to the wings or made the edges less rough

It's a finished peice.
The horse in general is s**t and I am starting to accept this.
I still stand by that this is a great peice for me and I will get better and better with each new one.
Hair is one of my many vices, and this is actually the first time I remotely pulled it off xD
As for the wings.
I thought it looked interesting with white, unshaded clouds.
I dunno.
I might ******** around and add s**t to them but I most likely will just take what you've said and incorporate into my next peice.

As long as they aren't buldging chibi kawaii bullshit then I can live with that.
I still hope to one day get the eyes I WANT when I'm drawing on that fresh peice of paper but I just don't have the talent for it yet. :/
