shezu Such as the new release of sunwell, which is not out yet..I thought it was destroyed by Arthas whats with the name? Also how did the blood elves become part of the horde? Weren't they all part of being led by kael'thas? So shouldn't they be part of illidan's army like the rest? how did them becoming horde come to play? It explains why they left the alliance forces but why did some join the horde and not illidan? First off, when Kel'Thuzad was rebirthed by the Sunwell, its energies were corrupted, sending off a cataclysmic explosion, but there was no recording of the well itself being destroyed. Haven't you payed attention to the Frozen Throne? neutral To answer the second question, most Blood Elves still followed Kael'thas, but then some figured that he was going mad, and was following the will of the legion, so they left. They left the Alliance because Garithos, being a prejudiced slug, ordered their executions for receiving help from Naga. Besides, the Blood Elves embraced demonic energies, were shunned by the alliance, and the Horde believed they could change.

I guess you didn't pay attention to Khadgar's minion when you hit 60 and got to Shatt. I dont blame you, its pretty easy to just space out and follow the lil pink guy. Basically what happened was 1) Kael'thas is nuttier than a scoop of pecan icecream, and 2) Lor'themar (current leader of the Bloodelves) recieved a vision from a Naaru, supposedly A'dal (big flying snowflake chandelier in the middle of Shatt), telling him that the future and safety of his people lay in Shattrath, and that the Naaru would protect them.
The Belves joined the Horde because it was the lesser of 2 evils. Humans, Draenei, Night Elves all hate the Blood Elves because of their addiction to magic/among other things (like the endless attacks on Shattrath when it was purely Aldor lololol), basically they've just had a horrible history of relationships with the Alliance.
The Horde are pretty indifferent to magic-addicted pointy ears that gain their paladin powers by enslaving a being of pure light (somewhat of a problem), so although it meant hanging out with a bunch of stinking, sometimes rotting greenskins (not entirely a bad thing, I rather like my faction), the Horde was the one faction that would help them, and wouldnt try to kill them. Blood Elves are, at the moment, preoccupied with survival, as a lot of people want them dead, so the Horde seemed like a logical choice. They may not be the best of friends, but they're willing to work together for the benefit of everyone, so its within their best interests. For now.Neltharion4 Besides, the Blood Elves embraced demonic energies Try to know what you're talking about before you spew it forth. I know Blizz changes their lore every second tuesday but this particular bit has been solid for a long time now. The Alliance have just as much meddled with demons and s**t as the Horde has. Perhaps not in the past, but most orcs weren't exactly given the choice and its a part of their history they've been working like mad to rectify and make sure it never, ever happens again.
The Belves did not, have not, will never, as a people, 'embrace' demonic energies. Their stint with Illidan was incredibly short, and in case you haven't noticed, a good portion of their race has been working incredibly hard to end him.WoWWiki despite what other races might suspect, blood elves are hardly on friendly terms with demons. Indeed, blood elves too view demons with abhorrence. Even blood elf warlocks believe demons are useful tools, not potential allies.
neutral Wouldn't exactly call that 'embracing' em.
