I've never heard of this before but digging around on Google and other forums, it seems like a more common phenomenon that I would have expected. It might good to let your friend know that she's not alone. smile
Scientists have shown that epilepsy and headaches often follow lunar cycles (not to mention menstrual cycles).
Malachite and tourmaline aid with sleep. Also, just set the intention for sleep, every night, even if it is not a full moon.

yes i have i use to have the problem as a young child where no matter what i did sleep never came for me when it was near or close to full moon. now b/c i could figure out how to stop the problem and i became a full out insominac but whenever the moon draws to its fullest that happens to be when my powers are the strongest. maybe ur friend is just drawn to the moon like i am. my friends all told me to try sleeping pills but that didnt work for me at all so try that but if it doesnt work some times when i burn jasmine and citrus oils that helps calm my body enough to let it relax. but i dont know how long ur friends had that problem but if its early enough that should work just tell her to do that near and around full moon it should at least relax her senses.

One thing I've thought too is that some people may have a strong connection to the moon and get extra energized during it. Some people may just have a different reaction to its energies too, since the full moon tends to be strongest. right? I find it kinda funny that no one has made any sort of spiritual connection in a wiccan thread, although with something like this it is very likely there is a mental thing involved though. In the end I think it is a combo of things, it may have started as an energy thing, and then adding the automatic reaction to it, becoming a lovely vicious (sp?) cycle. Grounding may help a little too.
