Vice nodded a little at what Jii said, and then looked away for a moment while the other continued eating, doing the same himself. Then, as Jii spoke again, Vice perked his ears and looked around at him.
"Leaving so soon?" He chuckled. "It's alright, and yeah, go for it. There's plenty left, so I don't mind at all." The green-furred male grinned.
"Thanks for the company, hope to see yah around?" He added, standing politely, to see his new friend off. "And safe travels, friend." He nodded happily, tail swaying in a cheery fashion behind him.

"Mmmyeah," Gahiji grunted around the meat and bone as he lifted the leg in his mouth. "I am an effective eater. Don't mean to be rude or anything, but I really oughta get going."
He hesitated for an instant, giving Vice a long, thoughtful look. "I'll probably be around... who knows, it's a big savannah and I travel. I... guess I'll see you if I see you." It wouldn't be a bad thing to run into Vice again, especially not if he got another opportunity at free food. Jii didn't run into nice guys like this one every day, and he had to admit that he felt a little worried about the green guy: He was too nice, and typically one of those people who ended up getting their hearts broken in the end.
"You... be careful, okay?" he muttered. It was the best that he could do for him, anyway. "Stay safe. You're a decent guy. Don't let anyone use you."
And, having reached just about the utmost limit of how much sympathy he could show before he started to feel vulnerable himself, the black cheetah turned away before the other had a chance to say anything, and started walking off into the tall grass. With a final "Thanks for the food!" Over his shoulder, Gahiji disappeared into the night.
