Yves watched her absently for a moment, pondering to himself for a quick moment on whether or not he should take a moment to clean his own paws. He refrained for the moment, his bobtail wriggling a bit behind him instead. "No, not... not quite." he replied simply, nodding a bit as he spoke, "I've stayed for a couple days at a time all over the place, but I haven't actually decided to stay and settle down anywhere." He sighed softly, shaking his head a tad. His ears drooped a bit before he continued. "I almost wish I could just get thrown into a place that was perfect and not have to worry about anything... you know?"

Her eyes flitted over to his moving tail, like a cat glimpsing a mouse. She wondered what it was a sign of? Like how it could be for both joy and anxiety. Zaha shook her head before responding. "Well, it doesn't have to be settle down. You're a boy, ussually you make large territories. Don't you?" She blinked and gave a small nod. A perfect place? Sure, a nice thought, but not something she believed in. Not since she was a kit...

Yves' head tilted slightly to the side for a moment, before he straightened it and nodded. "Well, yeah, I guess," he replied, tail wiggling again, more for something to do than anything else, "You've got a good point." Perhaps he would go about someplace near a lake to stake out a large territory... he thought quietly for a moment, eyes drifting upwards to the ceiling for a moment. "But I don't know... a large territory seems like it would be hard to keep an eye on by yourself." He frowned slightly, a bit perplexed by this- what was he to do, anyways?

Oh...er, what was her point again? Zaha gave a sheepish grin, waiting for him to elaborate it for her. She too looked up at the ceiling, oohing at it's rooted details, seen better by the help of her glow. Ears shot up to his opinion, and the girl wagged her own tail excitedly. "Oh, but that's the point! I've heard that some Ulaya even build clans. Like a huge family." And she blushed lightly to her little outburst. "Though, I've never seen one myself, but it sounds amazing." She could only imagine seeing one, or even being a part of one.

"I know, I've heard too," Yves replied, his attention shifting back into the present, "It must be nice, you know? You've got a whole family to watch your back and keep you company... being a rouge and wandering wherever is nice, but once in a while, people that actually care about you would be worthwhile." He sighed a bit, eyes gazing out one of the slits in the wall that was allowing light in. "Maybe I'll join a clan... but I'd rather join knowing that someone in it already would be there to help me out at the beginning..."

To watch your back? That was indeed a great thing to have in life. So long as you could really depend on the one who was watching said back. Ears fell limp to Yves's talkings. "What? I care about you though." A rogue didn't have to have no friends, right? But she was back to smiling quickly. "Maybe we can make a clan here? If this land is good that is." The Ulaya walked a tight circle, before peeking out the rooted wall. "At least then we can help each other, right?"

Yves' features brightened up as Zaha spoke. "That... sounds like a plan." He replied, lifting himself onto all fours and going to the crevices in the wall, "I mean, around here is really quite nice- it's quiet, it's nicely forested..." he trailed off slightly, eyes just gazing outwards at the trees that loomed overhead of them. Turning, he stepped over to the other ulaya, bumping his forehead against her shoulder blade in a playful manner. "And good, 'cause... well, I care about you too, y'know?"

Zaha canted her head, surprised Yves was actually agreeing with it. A plan? "Sounds great, cept I don't think a clan is normally made of just two..." Though it would be wierd to just invite strangers. That's something to figure out, somehow. She giggled as he bumped her, leaning her weight to return the bump. "I'm glad, that's what friends are for, right?" She smiled sweetly, thinking nothing more of it. So long as she could trust, she was happy.

Yves grinned broadly, tail wiggling excitedly behind him. "Well, we can't make a clan with just us, but... I'm sure that we'll be able to find others that want the same things we do." He was contented at this point- he had someone he could count on, a friend. He had met other ulaya in the past, but Zaha was the first one that treated him like a valued friend rather than just another acquaintance. It made him feel a bit warm inside, to be honest, a feeling that he could definetly get used to.
