We're petitioning our school board for it to become a P.E. credit. But it might not go through seeing as how we're asking for new uniforms.

It counted for PE at my school like 3 years ago and for some reason they stopped it. I think it's rather ridiculous that we don't get credit for it. I mean my actual PE class is Tennis and we don't do crap in that class. I feel out of shape because we never condition or anything.

It counts for PE credit at my school, but they make us take a semester of freshman PE anyway neutral I guess the PE department couldn't resist at least one chance to get its claws on us.

Renpaichii Is it just me, or does Marching band need to count as a P.E. credit? It's harder than most of the excercizes they make us do in real P.E. It covers both the hottest and coldest time of the year, and the uniforms are uncomfortable to say the least. If you have ever taken marching band then there is a strong chance that you will agree, so post at the bottom and tell me what you thing. @ my hs it counts as pe credit. pirate and i heart marching. if it didn't count, i would have quit band, because i hate pe! but now that i have tried it for 1 year, i am gonna keep coming back for more! cool

I think it should count as P.E. credit. I'ts ludicrous that it doesn't, I mean, they make us do push ups and run laps when we mess up or fool around (that's all the time... rolleyes ) In P.E., I only sit down and talk with friends, killing time until the bell rings.

At my school, three years allows you to exempt P.E., so no credit technically. I think that's changing next year, but I'm graduating so it doesn't matter to me! blaugh

Psh, I wish it did in our school. I'm going to tell you right now that colorguard is far harder than any PE class I've ever taken.

At our school it only counts for Secondary PE classes, but freshman still have to take PE. Well it's like that now. It changed this year but it totally doesn't affect me since they already counted it as PE credits on my transcript. xd

our school doesnt really have a marching band. the only time we do is memorial day, which basically means that all regular band members are required to march 2 miles through town and play the same music 10 times over. and at the homecoming game we have a pep band, which is just 10-20 of the hard-core band geeks. but the conductor (pep band is student-run) is graduating =( so next year my friend and i are conducting =D i really wish our school even had a real marching band and it would be really cool if we could get pe credit. but, alas, bspa sucks =(

THey just implimented a new policy at our school- any sports or other activity in which you practice more than sixty hours in a year counts as a quarter credit P.E. (we need a half credit)
That means band, football, soccer, any other sport you can think of.
Unfortunately, that means that if you break your ankle before you meet those sixty hours, regardless of if you're still "part of the team", it doesn't count.
And also unfortunately, I already had all my P.E. credits before they started this.
