A Weird... 'Dream'

June was finishing cleaning his basement up, taking care of the mess left behind by his band mates when they were over. While things were going well enough music wise his mind was wandering, thinking on his son who was so busy of late being anywhere but home... there was something wrong with him that he couldn't place, something... strange. He wasn't angry, he wasn't talking to him, just seemed withdrawn was all.

He took a step forward, winding up the cords that led from the amp to the the different instruments, giving a bit of a sigh. He knew he had missed something that he shouldn't have missed, something important, something vital... but he couldn't get Duncan to breath a word of what was wrong. Instead he normally snapped that he was fine and didn't need to be smothered.

He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice the sticks on his drums fall off when he bumped against it, falling to the floor, clattered, and rolled under foot. June gave a squeak of surprise, flailed his arms pathetically which were currently entangled with cords and went down heavily...

The spirits in charge of assignments did their blah blah blah job, bonding spirits and all that crap. Apparently, they thought it'd be funny to a) give a guy who had a Wrath-Liberality Kid a sparkly deity and b) give him his assignment while the woman who usually did them was sleeping, snuggled down with her mate.

So it was that when June woke up on the small space ship, there was a huge squeak of surprise from what appeared to be a young woman in a bed nearby. Her green breasts were visible directly ahead, as well as her somewhat bulgy pregnant belly, under the light white dress she was wearing to bed. Next to her appeared to be a sleeping figure with a softly swishing tail - a figure that two of the one girl's six arms were pulling the blankets over.

"Oh dear! Why an assignment n-now?!" Feejhu exclaimed.

June found himself starring for a moment, eyes going wide as he found himself in an unknown room, an unknown place... with two women in front of him on a bed, "Woah... I know I have been a bit celebate lately due to being busy but... can't say I have ever dreamed of a cat girl and someone with six arms and a pregnant belly before." He said, scratching the back of his head in a confused manner.

Feejhu shook her head a bit and then got on task. "Um.......okay. I'm sure you haven't. You aren't dreaming. You've been sent here to be informed that you'll be caring for a godbaby." she mumbled in a slightly sleepy tone, now that she was somewhat calmed down.

June tilted his head to the side, eyes widening slightly... more by the fact that he was starring at the women and realized it wasn't a dream... Oops... He lifted a hand up to cover his eyes, "Ahh... sorry, thought that it was a dream, I appoligze for starring." They were good looking women he couldn't be blamed for it... wait...
"Wait, wait... what? God baby?"

"Yes. God Baby. From another Galaxy. Complicated story. Yours is....." briefly she poked a small console at the side of her bed with one arm and then turned back to June. "Sparklies. If you know what's good for your stuff, you'll hide anything you don't want bedazzled."

"There is a God in charge of Sparklies?" He asked, tilting his head to the side, that was... odd. He didn't think that Gods were in charge of stuff like that... what a strange galaxy, "What... am I supposed to do with him? I mean... a God... am I his servant or something?"

"Our Galaxy was a little bit ******** up." she explained. "You just raise him till he gets his powers, treat him right, make sure no one leaves him in the park for sneezing glitter on them, general parental duty. They don't even remember they were gods for a long while and don't get powers for a few stages."

June gave a bit of a nod of his head, "I see, I will do my best but... my son I am not sure about what he would think about a sibling but... We will see." He murmured, mostly to himself. He then gave a bit of a smile, "No reason not to take in another kid, I mean the band is doing well enough and we have the room."

"We provide money if you need it anyway." she mumbled before figuring she better wrap this up. "When you get home, you do what you want to get ready for the kidling. Go step on that plate thing over there, close your eyes and count to ten, then you'll be home."

I'M GETTING A WHAT?!

Duncan was starring at his father with a trio of wide eyes, looking... shocked... surprised... and almost terrified. He was shaking his head in a dumb manner, unable to find his voice for a long moment... though when he did finally find it he was quite vocal about his feelings on the matter at hand, "NO! No no no no no!" He said, shaking his head rapidly from side to side, "You can do that. You can't... can't!"

June stepped forward to catch hold of his son's wrists tugging him to stop of him his angry pacing, "Duncan, calm down." He said, his voice gentle in an attempt at being reassuring, "Listen to me, from the sounds of it there isn't exactly a choice and he needs a home. We have plenty of rooms here now and no real reason for why we can't take a little one in."

Duncan looked down at the hands that were holding onto him and shook his head, "B-But... you can't... you can't bring something that small near me... I will only hurt him. Please Dad..." He murmured.

"Duncan... You wouldn't help him you doing better these days and..."

"Better! I am still me! I still have this awful blood inside of me! You can't just say 'I am doing better' and think that can live around a small kid! One bad day and I could..." His words trailed off, his eyes going wide at the thought before he yanked his arms free of his father's grasp, "No... I don't want to have a brother!" He snapped before he turned on his heel and stomped toward the door.

"Duncan! Wait a second!" June called out after his teen aged son...

The sound of a slamming door and a little crack of wood was all that he got for a reply... June lifted a hand up to rub at his temples as though he were developing a headache. Well... hopefully he would be able to try to talk to him again before the little one arrived.

A Moment of Panic & A Listening Ear

(( Chai is played by Dg ))

Duncan really wasn't exactly thinking on where he was heading he was just... going somewhere, as fast as his clawed feet would bring him away from his home, away from his traitor of a father, away from the idea of getting a little sibling, away from everything that he considered to be 'not right' in his world... and when his eyes started to finally focus again, when he was able to comprehend he realized where he'd run to... that comprehension only coming to him after he had al but burst through the door's of Chai's shop.

Jayva and Old Grandma were seated in the main room and both looked up at the sound of Duncan entering.

"Oh, hello dearie. Chai is upstairs, just go up and knock - third door to the left." the old woman cooed in her little old lady voice. Well at least she wasn't angry with him. "And shut the door on your way, hrm? It gets chilly this time of year."

Duncan blink two of his three eyes, looking the door then closed it behind himself, "S-Sorry..." He murmured, feeling a bit foolish for making such an entrance. His yellow had turned to look at the girl, an ever present distrustful in it as he walked toward the stairs as he was told to go and find Chai. He had apparently wanted to see him, to the point that even running blindly he'd ended up here.

When Duncan knocked on the door of the room, the channeler's soft voice issued out of it. "Enter." Chai knew who it was already, and had before the spawn even knocked - he could feel and hear his presence. However, politeness dictated he ignore that knowledge.

Duncan starred at the door for a long moment, wondering if he were being bothersome coming by without so much as an indication that he was coming... without calling, without... anything. He shook his head before stepping into the room. Chai was one of few people that was able to really calm him, it could be why he had come here... after what had happened and caused him to be filled with panic... a new emotion for him, one to add to the list of emotions he didn't like.

The teen lay shirtless - as usual - his bed, and was just marking his place in a book and sitting up to deal with company. Smiling slightly, he crossed his legs and backed up a bit to leave Duncan room on the bed. "Shut and lock the door and you can come sit down." he told the other, his voice soft and warm. "My sister sometimes gets lost trying to find her room and while I don't usually mind her wandering in, you might."

Duncan did as he was told before walking over to sit down next to Chai, resting his hands in his lap before looking over at the other teen for a long moment. He remained quiet, trying to get his racing heart under control before he finally spoke, "I'm sorry for intruding."

"S'okay." the dark one said softly, reaching over to gently pat Duncan's knee.

Duncan looked over at Chai for a long moment before sighing and started to tap his sharp nails together, "I got... awful news today... I ended up running here without even realizing where I was going until I was here." He murmured, giving a bit of a sigh. His heart was beating at a normal pace but his two lower eyes seemed trouble, the other just... glaring as it was prone to doing.

"Oh? And what was the news?" he asked gently, opposite hand starting to glow somewhat as he softly rubbed Duncan's knee. The gesture was mostly meant to soothe and the knee was the closest part to him, otherwise he'd probably have touched his arm or hand or something.

Duncan gave a little jump at Chai's hand, finding it to be relaxing and a bit distracting as well... and somehow had his mind wandering for a moment to Adriel who caused him to feel just as mixed up, "Hn... I'm... getting a sibling." He muttered when he was able to focus on the conversation again.

"Ah.....and you are upset because you're worried about hurting the child?"

He nodded his head, giving a sighing sound, "Something... that small shouldn't be around me." He murmured, rather sad of that... he didn't like the idea of them being around him for long, the idea of one living with him was scary...

"And what else is upsetting you about this?" Chai asked softly.

"I don't... want to hurt something little and... I don't want him to hate me for hurting him." He said, looking down at his clawed hand and flexed it, "Why would my Dad allow another kid into our house knowing what I am like? He has so many scars because of me and hes bigger then I am!"

"Maybe your dad didn't have that much of a choice in the matter? Many places on Gaia don't exactly let people choose whether or not they're receiving a child from them. Could he maybe have been forced into it and some higher power is to blame?"

He shook his head, "Then they are fools too." He muttered, finding the idea of a higher power giving him something small to deal with as rather... annoying. He found himself lifting a hand so that he could chew on one of his nails to distract himself... and to wear it down a little.

Chai smiled softly. "Maybe it will not be as bad as you think? You've yet to meet the child."

"Or maybe it will be worse... the kid hasn't had to meet me either." He muttered... then looked over at Chai, "You sound rather... optimistic..." He rather envied the other teen's ability to sound so happy, to sound as if things could be alright...

"I am trying to be reassuring. I'm a realist most of the time, and going by vague logic on this matter." the bald one explained. "Most shops that involve higher powers choosing the guardian of the child usually seem to involve magic - and lots of it. A child birthed of magic might have traits that might make it possible for the child to survive unscathed in your home."

"Or they weren't paying attention and just dumped the kid off. Not like where I come from were ones to really care where they sent kids... Ahh... not that I don't like my Dad or anything, just saying the people there are all dicks." He spat out, all three eyes narrowing as he thought on one of them in particular...

Chai's hand tightened a bit on Duncan's knee and the glow in his other hand intensified as he spoke. "You shall have to just wait and see how things play out. At the very least, you might have to spend more time out of the house. That could be good for you."

Duncan felt his body relaxing again, two of his three eyes sinking closed, "I think I would become bothersome to you." He murmured, "If I left the house to much I might be underfoot a lot... its so relaxing around you." He felt... relaxed now, a bit on the sleepy side even as now that he was relaxed the aftermath of running all the way here seemed to be catching up with him.

"I've told you before. I like company." the other whispered. "And I can't go out that often."

"Your lucky... you know how to deal with me." He said, giving a bit of a smile before he found himself leaning against Chai in a half dozing state, "I don't... think it would be bad, hanging out with you. You seem cool enough... I don't know what I should do around him... he confuses me." He muttered, making only half sense as he thought about the only other friend he had his own age.

The dark skinned teen smiled softly, almost automatically wrapping two of his arms around Duncan's shoulders to pull him a bit closer. He scooted back so he could lean against the wall and both of them could stretch out a bit. "People can be very confusing at times." he agreed softly.

He nodded, "I think so, yes." He murmured before giving a little smile, "But... hes one of few who dealt with me even when I was mean and couldn't speak well... I used to make him cry a lot though." He couldn't help but laugh at that. Adriel had always seemed the cutest to him when he was crying... what a strange thought.

Chai nodded. "I can understand that kind of closeness. I've had friends like that....long, long time ago."

Duncan gave a smile, "I can be... a friend..." He murmured giving a yawn then started to doze off, his yellow eye remaining alert... starring at Chai in a rather unsure manner. It wasn't sure what to think of the four armed teen... he was to confusing and thus warranted starring above all else!

A Baby Sister Brother

Duncan had come home after a while, after he felt ready to deal with his father that the sibling that he was supposed to be getting. He was... nervous but wanted to believe his friend, to believe that there was in fact the possibility for him to be able to have a sibling and him not hurt that small child. He paused at the door to his house, starring at the knob that would bring him inside, hand almost shaking at the prospect of going inside after the way that he had left. His father was going to be mad at him, was going to yell at him for leaving in anger and for not coming home until the next day.

He lowered his arm to the side, feeling his heart racing in his chest and a shiver go up his spine... he couldn't go inside his father was mad, it would mean more arguing and that mean his temper would rise and he would do other foolish things. He was starring down at his feet, trying to figure out what to do next when he finally just did it! He lifted his hand again, turned the door knob, and pushed it open so that they could step inside and he was greeted by darkness, silence, and a... warm sort of feeling, a good feeling. He closed the door behind himself and strode forward through the darkness, to where that feeling was originating from and his trio of eyes went quite wide as he looked down at them.

His father was slouched on couch, sleeping deeply with a small pink haired creature in his arms. Duncan blinked a couple times and reached a clawed hand out toward the kid. He thought that he was getting a little brother he thought to himself when his finger tips touched hair that was far to pink to be able to belong to a male. It drew a soft sound from the small form, waking Keirnan and drew his attention and golden gaze up to Duncan.

The small boy blinked a couple times, head tilting to the side and he gave a bit of a smile his tiny hands lifting, reaching out toward his older brother, "Ahh...?"

Duncan gave a jolt, taking a half step back before slowly creeping a little closer and reached his hands out to take Keirnan's tiny hands in his own larger ones. It was a strange sensation, to touch someone so tiny. He was so weak, he could feel it just by looking at him, touching him, he was... vulnerable and breakable and the wrath spawn was afraid just touching him as though he were afraid his hands would hurt him just by holding onto him. The taller male squatted down so that he was closer to being on the same level as his new sibling and the moment he did the small, pinked haired boy was sliding from June's arms and into Duncan's arms instead.

The wrath spawn froze in place, his entire form trembling as the little one snuggled against him, hugged him, nuzzling against him in an affectionate manner that was foreign to Duncan. It was...strange, to get such attention from someone other then Adriel. These hugs were more chaste though, more innocent, it was just a tiny child seeking warmth and love and nothing else. He felt nothing from Keirnan that made him dislike the child, no feeling of him being superior, to worry about him being dangerous. He was just... a tiny little boy with very weird coloring, "Hello." He murmured finally, wrapping his arms around Keirnan, lifting him up into his arms and moved to sit down on the couch with him.

It wasn't long before the trio was sleeping as a group on the couch. Keirnan was in Duncan's arms, sleeping against his chest while Duncan leaned into June who was slouched over. It was a strange looking group but for the moment they all seemed quite content. It was strangely cute to behold.

Leaving in a Loud Way

Duncan hadn't ever felt what it was like to have a moment where he couldn't feel anything at all... always in the back of his mind there was at least the underlying feeling of the anger that always plagued him... until now. He couldn't move, couldn't blink, didn't even feel as though he could breath... it was wrong, all wrong. The wrath child took a couple, shaky steps closer to the television before collapsing in front of it as though being closer would make what was being said make more sense. Adriel... was missing? He turned to look over his shoulder to where his father and little brother were standing, his eyes wide, "Adriel... is..." Adriel was missing? How could he be missing? Who would want to take him? He was such a brat... he was weak and he stuttered all the time... always acting in such a way that Duncan didn't understand... it all made him so angry most of the time. He wanted to yell at Adriel but at the same time he wanted to hold onto him... the strange and twisted desire to keep his friend close to him, to hold onto him, to kiss him battled with the desire to harm him, the weird urge to scratch and bite at him...

He shook his head, trying to clear his twisted thoughts and was suddenly pushing to his feet and rushed toward the door. He had to go there, had to go to Durem, had to find Adriel! He was surely there somewhere, he probably just got lost... he was such an idiot... or maybe he got himself into a fight? Said or did something wrong, or those tentacles of his had started problems... what if he'd gotten beat up? He gave a confused sound as several scenarios started to race through his mind.

June gave a sound of surprise moving forward to catch hold of his son, barely able to stop his blind charge toward the door. It knocked Duncan a bit silly, knocked the breath out of his lungs as well and left the giant of a man's arm throbbing, "Duncan... you can't just rush off! The police will find him its their job after all and..." He trailed off, looking down at his son with wide eyes. He'd been somehow expecting to see anger on his son's face, it was an emotion the boy was very familiar with but... to see him looking rather distraught instead, lost, and for a split second as though he might cry over the idea of his friend having gone missing.

It caused June pause... which was a very bad move on his part as the moment his guard faltered Duncan ducked under his arm and was heading out of the front door to quick for June to catch up with him.

"Duncan..." The man murmured, watching him as he disappeared from sight in a flash. He lowered his hand to the small boy at his side, ruffling his hair before he scooped him up, "Come on, we will wait for Duncan to get home. I am sure after he searches a while and gets tired he will be back." There was only so much a lone child could do, not nearly as much as the proper authorities could do... and as much as June wished he could have saved him from the running around and searching that would more then likely end with coming up empty handed he'd been unable to keep hold of him.

The tiny boy nodded, leaning against his father and gave a soft sighing sound. It was the first time the tiny boy had felt sorry for his rather mean, grouchy older brother.

Window Bird

Keirnan was waiting in the front window as he had been for a while, gazing out through the pane of glass and seemed to be waiting, watching. He'd been doing so for a while now, hoping to spot his red skinned brother out in the snow... it was all white without a bit of red to be seen. Duncan was missing still and this made June upset about it. With June in an off mood Keir was feeling about the same and it wasn't a good feeling for one his age. He looked over his shoulder at where his father was sitting currently.

The man had been all but hovering over the phone waiting for some sort of notice about where Duncan was at the moment. He'd wandered off after that news broadcast and they had heard nothing from him since. The man was sure he would turn up, after he searched high and low for Adriel but... June couldn't help but be worried, no matter how big Duncan acted he was still just a child in the man's eyes.

The tiny, dark skinned boy slid down off of his perk and toddled over to where June was. He gazed up at the tall man and stepped closer to him, leaning against his leg and clung to it. He nuzzled again it and a moment later he was giving a little squeak as he was gathered up into June's arms, "Its alright Keir, he will be home soon." The many murmured, hugging him close.

He missed Duncan had his problems, had a temper, could be a good kid when he was able to keep himself in check, he'd even been struggling to do so when with his brother. He feared hurting him in any way and it made Duncan behave in ways that June had never seen before.

Keir gave a nod of his head, hugging his father tighter, he trusted his words and would continue to wait and watch. Duncan would come home soon. Sure Duncan had his grumpy moments but it would better to have him home and grumpy then missing. Or at least that was what the little boy believed.
