November smiled back at him, racing along side of him, the wind blowing through her mane. She decided that this felt perfect, better than anything else she had ever known. The cold was forgotten, her frozen hooves no longer bothered her.
And she was no longer lonely.

Spotty felt warm inside when he saw the mare smile at him. It was a strange feeling for him, one he hadn't felt in a long time. He flicked up his braided tail and brushed November's side with it. It seemed like they had both forgotten that they were playing tag.

November slowed down a bit, leaning over to brush his neck with her velvety soft nose. She had never felt this way before. She had only just met him, but she already felt closer to him than anyone. She had completely forgotten about tag, her newfound emotions taking up most of her thinking space.

Spotty was caught off guard by the mare's touch and stated to slow down. It became hard to run, after all he was almost totally concentrated on November and not the path ahead of him. Soon the stallion's head was swimming with new emotions and ideas.
Would they become a couple? Spotty knew they had just met and he didn't want to drive November away by moving too fast. With all this going on in his mind, Spotty remained calm on the outside.

November, ever bashful, smiled shyly at Spotty as she slowed down to a walk. She wondered about the same things he did, whether they'd be a couple, or if she was moving too fast. She decided that she'd let him take the initiative and she would be patient with him. She didn't want to lose him just because she let her emotions run away with her. Her growing affections made it difficult for her to think straight.

The two walked quietly beside each other, both too nervous to say anything. Spotty continued to debate with himself, what should he say to November? He had begun to feel a bit nervous which was unusal for the outgoing stallion. Looking straight ahead, Spotty only glanced at November every once in a while. This shy side seemed to be taking hold of him.
Wanting to return to his outgoing self, Spotty decided to say something. "I like being around you November." Was the only thing his male pride would let him say at the moment.

November walked alongside Spotty, pondering her feelings, and wondering about what his were towards her. She thought about so many different things she could say, but she didn't have the nerve to say them.
When Spotty spoke, a happiness she had never felt before welled up in her. "I like being around you, too." November said, blushing. "I...I've never felt like this before." she admitted, her voice soft.

Spotty could see how November's eye lit up when he told her how he felt. It was a good sign, and helped calm Spotty's nerves. Then he saw her face turn red when she answered his feelings with her own. She liked him to! The stallion felt like he could jump up into the air, but didn't ofcourse.
All of this was new for him to. Even if they just met, Spotty felt more strongly about November than any other mare he had met. He walked closer to November so the two were almost touching and smiled. There was no reason to be nervous or shy anymore.

November watched as Spotty's nervousness faded away, and as he became more confident, so did she. She blushed when he came close and smiled at her, and tentatively leaned over and nuzzled him with her nose.
To November, the world seemed perfect. Spotty liked her, she liked him, and she just felt so happy, standing in the snow with him. She wasn't even cold anymore, which for her, was saying something indeed.

Spotty nuzzled November back with his nose. He was always worried that when the time came for love and stuff like this, that he wouldn't know what to do. Now that if was happening, Spotty had forgotten all about that.
The two Soquili had slowed down so much they weren't even really walking at all. Spotty's mind was only focused on November. He couldn't have cared less about the cold or the deep snow. But he did notice that the sun was now starting to set. It would become even colder when it was totally gone. Spotty didn't mind being out, but he knew that November probably had a warm teepee to go home to. "I don't want to keep you out in the cold," he said with a sigh, "We can always meet up tomorrow."

November sighed softly. "I suppose it is getting late..." She didn't want to leave him just yet. She was in love for the first time, and she didn't ever want to be parted from Spotty. She moved a little closer to Spotty and leaned against him a little. "You know, I live all alone, so you can come home with me if you want to... I wouldn't want you out in the cold either." She was beginning to get a bit cold, and knew that after the sun set the temperature would plunge down. She didn't want her newfound love to freeze into a Spotty popsicle overnight.

The sun was now almost gone over the horizon and little snow flurries were dropping from the sky.
Spotty had never been inside a teepee before, but couldn't refuse November's offer. Getting out of the cold was too tempting. Plus he would be able to stay with the mare. "That'd be great," he said with a big smile, it was so kind of her to let him stay with her. Spotty would have to let November led the way, since he had really no idea where her teepee was.

November lead the way through the snow to a small teepee by a cluster of trees. "Well, here we are. It's not much, but it's home." she said, smiling at Spotty. She lead the way inside, and curled up by the small fire in the center of the teepee. "Make yourself at home." she said shyly. She was happy to have Spotty in her home. She was even happier that he wasn't going to be cold tonight, that he would have someone to keep him company.

The teepee looked small, but comfortable. Ofcourse Spotty had never been in one before. The only teepees he had seen were from a distance. Once inside, the stallion felt much better. The place was warm and kept out the cold wind that had begun to blow outside. By now the sun was gone and night had offically started. Spotty decided to get off his hooves and layed down, while motioning for November to join him. He was sure to sleep good tonight.

November left her spot to curl up next to him. She snuggled against him and said, "I'm very glad that you're here with me, Spotty." She thought about the day, how wonderful everything had been, but knew that what was to come would be even more wonderful: that from this day forward, she would have Spotty in her life and in her heart. She knew that he felt the same way about her, and she had never felt more safe and secure than when she was laying next to him.
