Saphira couldn't relate to the mother thing, but Ju's sadness was enough to make her feel bad as well. "I am so sorry you had to go through that, I really am. But like I said, you know how terrible your own mother was, and I know you will do everything in your power to be the opposite of that." Saphira then molded her face into a warm smile, before nodding reassuringly at the mare. "There is nothing to worry about, the past is far behind you. Now you just have the future to keep you happy." And amen to that!
It was sad to listen though, and Saphira wondered how much Ju had been through in her life. Maybe she had a lot of problems that Saphira didn't know about? It made Saphira realize that she herself complained too much, and maybe she needed to be more thankful to some of the peace she had in her life.
"You don't have any siblings do you?" she then asked, while dragging herself out of her own thoughts. "Was it just you and your parents? Or did you have brothers and sisters around?" It made her wonder if others were affected by her parents.

She suddenly smiled, her eyes glowing. What a nice mare she had met! She was so happy that, not only was she willing to put up with her, which most other Soquili weren't willing to do, but that she was so nice as well.
"I did have one brother, but he is many years older than I am. He had already gone out on his own by the time I was born. He came to see me every now and then, but he lived far away and didn't know what my parents were doing to me. They used to threaten to leave me forever if I ever told him about how they treated me. So I never said anything, until I left them. I found him, and he took me in for a while. He's such a great brother. Though I haven't seen him in years."
She sighed, remembering how well he had taken care of her when she came to him. She was still very thin and scared, and he took care of her and taught her to be strong. While the effects of her parents' treatment of her could never be erased, she was doing a lot better than she was before she found him.

Ju's insight on her brother sparked a different emotion inside the mare, and Saphira was overwhelmed to see how happy the other mare sounded as she spoke of his existence. It seemed that even in the midst of a terrible childhood, there was one bright light for the mare to cherish, and Saphira could tell by her emotions that she most certainly did. "Your bother sounds quite amazing and strong." she then commented, while scraping her tail back and forth on the ground. "So you haven't seen him since?" It would be nice if she could at least catch up with him, and he could know of her current condition. It was also enlightening to see Ju so happy overall from something so simplistic, and it gave Saphira confidence that her motherhood would be just fine.
Any doubts she had moments ago were now lost, even if the mare was a bit confusing about certain things. "I am sure you will teach your children to be that strong and helpful with each other as well. I know that I have always loved the idea of having a sibling, it is such an amazing bond. Sort of like a unique unity." The mare then nodded, before smiling at the thought of that kind of friendship.

She nodded lightly and smiled at Saphira.
"It is nice. I only wish he was around in the earlier part of my life. Though I don't hold him at fault for that. He had no idea what was going on."
She did wish she could see him again, though. It had been a long time, and she had changed a lot, and she wondered how he was doing. Perhaps they would see each other soon. Though in her current condition, she doubted that she could travel any great distance, and she assumed it would be difficult to travel with the children when they did arrive.
She realized that she was still thirsty and that it was getting worse as she was talking so much. She looked at Saphira and smiled.
"Would you mind horribly if we went to find a lake or something? I'm rather thirsty."

Saphira was still in the thought of Ju's brother until the mare spoke out on her next question. "Of course we can go to a lake!" Saphira then said, with widened eyes. Now all she had to figure out was.. where was there a lake?! She had no idea if there was one in a close proximity!
"I have an idea." The blue mare then said, while standing up from her seated position. "Why don't I fly overhead really quickly and see what I can find, and then we can go there? I wouldn't want us getting lost or going anywhere dangerous." Saphira realized it was her job to protect Ju, since she was prone to danger as a pregnant mare. "What do you think about that idea?" Hopefully she wouldn't be offended or anything, and Saphira was stretching her wings out as she happily awaited the mare's response.

She got to her feet carefully, grunting at the effort to pull up all the weight. she rolled her eyes as she finally found her feet and stood up straight.
"Ugh, I can't wait until they're out."
She shook her head to clear her mind some. She had been quite comfortable down there and was starting to feel a little sleepy. She sighed and smiled at Saphira.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea. I don't know this area very well, either, so I wouldn't know where to start looking for some water.

Saphira let out a sigh of relief since Ju had accepted her idea, and she only remarked at the mare, "Alright, I will be back in a minute!" And with that, she walked many strides away from where Ju stood so that she could find an opening in the trees, and when she did, she was off into the air in just seconds!
The air was chilly today, and Saphira shook her head at the feeling of the cold against her skin. Luckily she would only be flying for a short moment, and she could easily contain herself in the frigid-like atmosphere. Her eyes glided back and forth, until finally she was able to find a wonderful looking lake! "Yes, perfect!" She then remarked to herself, and it was only a few minutes away from where they stood!
Once Saphira was satisfied, she lowered herself to the ground and happily trotted over to where Ju was standing again. "Alright, there is a lake just to the left of here, and it is very close! We will be there quickly if we leave now." Thank goodness.. then the mare could finally get something to drink!

Ju watched in amazement as Saphira took off from the ground. She was so graceful in the air, even more graceful than some Soquili she had seen on the ground. As she disappeared from view, she kept her eyes on the sky, waiting for her to come back.
When she finally landed back in front of her, she was smiling broader than she had in a long time. She was very happy with Saphira, and was glad she had met her.
"Oh, sounds perfect! Let's go, then."
With that, she headed off in the direction that Saphira had said the lake was, her ankles jingling with her heavy steps.

Saphira guided Ju carefully to the lake, and although it took them many minutes to travel, Saphira was careful to lead her through a safe walkway. "Careful as you walk, the ground is a bit unstable." she then said, as she watched the other mare like a hawk. Once they had gotten through a muddy patch of ground, they were right next to the lake, and Saphira was glad that they were able to make it there so easily!
"Let's head over to the front of the lake, that's where the water is clearest!" Apparently Saphira had led them to the side of the lake, but that was alright. She was sure Ju wouldn't mind too much. "The water will most likely be nice and cool, so I am sure it will relax you will quenching your thirst." In a strange sense, Saphira felt very motherly, and she wanted to chuckle at that fact. She was enjoying her actions with Ju, and that was the strange thing! "So tell me more about you, I am very interested." she then commented, while smiling warmly.

Ju followed slowly, being careful in the soft mud. She would hate to fall, especially in her current condition. When they finally reached the best part of the lake, she lowered her head and took a long drink. She was glad she had said something, because she was more thirsty than she thought. When she had finally had enough, she raised her head again and looked at Saphira.
"Thank you very much for leading me here. I really needed that. But how about you tell me something about yourself? We've done nothing but talk about me this whole time. I'm sure you have some interesting stories to tell about yourself."
She smiled warmly. Saphira had been so nice to her, and she really appreciated it. She would love to get to know her better.

When asked something so direct, Saphira could only respond with a blush, since she was surprised by Ju's interest! "Me? Well, I am not that interesting you see." she then said, while rolling her eyes off of the other mare. Saphira didn't find herself that interesting, but that was her own personal opinion of course.
"I am what I am, and sometimes I question what that is exactly. I awoke in this land many months ago, only to find myself in this extraordinary body. I have thoughts of another world, a land that I must have come from. It must sound stupid, but I really don't know why I dream of somewhere else.." and of him.. her one true bond. "My life here is plain and simple, I usually just keep to myself. You are probably the nicest Soquili I have met, since others are either afraid of me or not interested in me.."
Her voice hinted at some loneliness, but Saphira smiled to try and hide her true words. "I am too selfish if I continue to talk about myself, plus I enjoy hearing what others have to say." she then said, with a slight chuckle. "That sort of personality trait is weird I suppose!"

Ju smiled softly. She knew how Saphira felt. She knew what loneliness she spoke of.
"Well, a lot of times, others don't stay around very long when they meet me. I guess sometimes I can be kind of difficult to get along with, and they just don't want to put up with me. So I know what you mean."
Though when she called her the nicest Soquili she had met before, Ju couldn't help but blush. She had never been told that by anybody before.
"Thank you very much. That's a very nice thing for you to say. Nobody has ever said that to me before."

How strange.. Ju had the same problems as Saphira? "Then, you don't mind if I call you a friend, do you?" Because.. Saphira didn't have a friend, did she? As much as she wanted to tell herself she did.. she didn't. But maybe now there was hope! "If it is not too strange to ask, I'd be honored if you would be a friend of mine. I promise to be trusting and helpful whenever you need it."
Saphira was sort of strange in a sense, and many could have called her old fashioned. But she was incredibly loyal with her words, and that was all that mattered truly!
"I hope to be helpful when your children arrive as well, that is if you need some help!" Whether Ju wanted so or not, Saphira would surely fly over the mare and check up on her every once awhile, since she would be devastated if anything would happen to Ju..

Ju's smile widened even more. A real friend? Well, this would definitely be the first friend she had ever had. She nodded enthusiastically.
"Of course! I'd love to be your friend! And thank you for being my friend, too."
She smiled, and felt good knowing that she would have somebody who she could turn to if she ever needed help. With her brother so far away, it was comforting to know that there was somebody who was on her side.

Saphira was beyond happy at the mare's response, and she nodded her head gently before arching her neck in a stretch. "Well, I suppose I should be going for the time being, but I will come catch up with you soon, and see how everything is going with the children!" Saphira was excited to see who and what would arrive, and she was glad she could be helpful to her friend.
"I hope you get lots of rest, I will come find you soon!" And with that, the mare flashed Ju another smile before darting off into the air. She was glad to be flying again, but at the same time, she was sad to leave her friend!
