Reaol couldn't help it. He just burst out laughing, not his usual sniker, but true heartfelt laughter. His stalk fell to the ground forgotten and he smiled widely. That was incredibly cute. Not that i need bugs for friends or anything....too cute. SHe seemed really embaresed by her remark and reaol only found it..well..cute!!
He then suddenly realized and Basalt apeared beside him telling him to stop being rude, that she may take his laughter in the wrong way. He quieted down and took a few deep breathes. "What I mean is that bugs make excellent friends." He lifted another rock to reveal a deep purple beedle that crawled across hs paw."They always listen when you need them too without interupting with stupid comments and keep you company when you lonely. They also help you find food!" He put the rock back over the beedles home and smiled broadly at her. "I'm Reaol by the way, son of Bismuth and Akana, you are?"

Kashi huffed and looked up and away glaring at Reaol out of the corner of her eye, What.... does... he... find... so... FUNNY!!! She watched him as he suddenly control himself, as if there was a living entity right next to him telling him to stop laughing. She watched him with a calculating sneer, waiting for him to explain his completely uncalled for laughter, but deep down inside she new that she wasn't mad at him... she was just embarrassed, that was it.
Kashi saw him lift a rock and her eye opened wide in fascination. Leaning forward, Kashi instinctively lay on her stomach very still, watching the purple beetles with pup-like fascination and enthusiasm. She somewhat listened to his comments as she smiled slightly at the little creatures crawling around on the ground. But after a moment the rock was replaced and Kashi caught herself, trying to keep down the rising blush coming to her face for letting this male see her soft side. Shaking her head Kashi sat back and straitened her posture into a more dignifying stance before replying to the males introduction, "My name is Kashinori, daughter of Michiko and Melyor. You may call me Kashi for short, it a tad bit easier." She tried not to sneer as she added a pleasantry to her introduction, "It is a pleasure to meet you Reaol..." her mother would have wanted her to. Kashi took a deep breath and relaxed, adding an actually sincere smile after she finished her words.

Reaol was happy to see her watching the insects as she did, all her guards down. It was how he always exposed himself to nature. He rolled his eyes a little when she tried to "re-dignify" herself. She must always keep herself guarded from others. Reaol couldn't really understand that. he had always been open. Of course that had also led to his brothers attacking him from every angle. He thought about his life of being the family punching bag and realized it might not be that bad of an idea to conceal your true self sometimes.
He could feel an enormous amount of his brothers potential comments welling up in his mind but he refused to hear them. A look of deep concentration washed over his face. He must seem so strange to her he thought. All of his unexplainable emotions. Reaol quickly abandoned that thought and used what was left of his brain power to concentrate on her introduction. Then his mind dropped his attempts at quelling his brothers comments when she mentioned her mother. A look of shock washedover the deep look of concentration.
"That female's mother almost killed our dad!!" Cobalt growled and yelled out in anger.
"Now now Cobalt she didn't almost kill him...she just left him to die." Basalt's voice was full of hatred.
"Are you really going to be friends with her Reaol?" Frost protested.
Michiko!? She was the daughter of Michiko?! No! This was so unfair. The one dragonfly he can seem to connect with almost had a part in harming his father. He knew it wasn't as bad as Basalt and Cobalt made it sound but still. her mother was not considered a friend of the family. Yet, she was the daughter, right? Not her mother and therefore not attached to the same line of hatred right? Right? He shook his head clear and swallowed hard. "Michiko was your mother? Are you sure youve never heard of my mother and father?"

Kashi smiled and nodded watching different emotions flash over Reaol face at her introduction. She was oblivious to what had just happened when suddenly it hit her, she hadn't been paying attention and didn't notice what he had said only moment before! The words "I'm Reaol by the way, son of Bismuth and Akana, you are?" ran through her mind and she realized her mistake. She had been to preoccupied with the bugs to noticed what he said, she had just caught his name really.
Soon the shock ebbed from her face and frowning slightly she sighed and shook her head, "Yes Michiko was my mother, but I was hoping it would be as big of a deal as you seem to be making it out to be." A flash of pain at the thought of Reaol's hate of her skimmed over her eyes before she regain control again. "I have asked her many times about what happened when she was little, and she has only told me once." Kashi shrugged and laid her ears back, "If you want to hate or attack me for something my mother did when she was pup, go ahead and do so, but be warned you wouldn't get out of such a battle unscathed. For you would be attacking me for something I did not do, and the you don't fully understand because you never heard my mother half the story. I didn't think you would be the type to do so Reaol. I was hoping someone like you, who actually seemed to be intelligent, would not judge a dragonfly without knowing them..." She trailed off and a look of a pain laced her eyes again, Just like a male to jump to conclusions... just like a father to fill his son's heads with hate... I was right at the beginning, I should never have let this male change my mind.

"Kashi...I don't hate you. In fact quite the opposite really." Reaol fought back his brothers comments and looked Kashi in the eyes. "I don't necessarily hate your mother either. I have only been told the story a few times by my mother, my father will not speak of the past. My mother did not tell the tale with a bias, but it is my brothers who seem to hold contempt for your mother. They could not see past the fact that he was almost killed." Reaol laughed then."I think the only reason why it shocks them is because it would mean that they would not exist. I however do not have such fears. Whatever happened in the past was the past, and nothing more." He looked away and growled. It was getting harder for him to hold back his brothers. Through gritted teeth he tried to explain what was happening."Look...I know my reactions are a little all over the place sometimes...i hear my brothers in my head...and it's hard to hold them back."

Kashi sat a listened intently to Reaol, each of his words sinking into her as she tried to understand. Is didn't make sense... he didn't hate her? Was he different than all those males, whose close mindedness brought them together only at tooth and claw? "I... you... wait... what?" Kashi shook head head quickly and blinked, "Give me a moment..." She sat back slightly and a blank look passed over her face, quite like the one her mother would adapt when she was contemplating something. He seems to have actually opened up his mind, thats interesting... His brothers sound like dragonflies I'd want to claw the fur off of... And what could he possibly mean by he doesn't hate me... but the opposite? Her mind kept wandering until suddenly her eyes regained their life and color and she blinked a few times. "I'm sorry to say, but your brothers don't seem very pleasant. And they must have made your life miserable for their voices to still be following you..." She tried to smile as tenderly as she could, but it probably only looked like a grimace. "If they ever bug you while you sleep, I have an herb that can help you sleep dreamlessly if you want to escape them..."

"Wow you admitted your insane and shes still there. Godd job nutso." cobalt chided Reaol while Basalt kicked him and then spoke his own mind.
"Don't listen to him Reaol, hes just upset that he didn't ruin this for you. I however am proud that youve graduated from Kindergarten." His voice then turned mocking"you've made a friend sweetie."
Reaol began to growl a little louder his jaw clenched tightly as his eyes as he tried to gain control. She didn't run away! Focus Reaol! Focus. He began to breathe deeply and and his jaw and eyes began to loosen. One of his eyes peeled open as he looked over at Kashi who was making her best attempt at a smile. He tried to smile as well. "They are only themselves and cant be anyone else. Its really cobalts influence. Basealt has him moments, and Fraost..well Frost is a little slow..but a sweety none the less." He loved his brothers as much as hated them...but they were still family. "and actually...my dreams don't torment me so. But thank you for that offer Kashi, really. I apriciate it."
His attempt at a smile then wavered a little. He looked down and then back up again trying to form this question in his mind. "So..So..you don't think I"m crazy?"

Kashi was worried for only a little while longer, her interest in the actions of this new male keeping her firmly in her place. Kashi chuckled at his description of his brothers, just then remembering how blood ran thicker than water, so they were still family and almost obligated to love one another. Just like Kashi was with her brother, but thats a different story. When Reaol smiled and asked Kashi the question that she could see was so obviously burning within his heart, she smirked, and as much as she tried Kashi could not help but laugh. Though her laugh was gruff, it had a sort of gentleness to it that she kept there so he wouldn't take offense.
"Oh Reaol, every creature has some sort of insanity within them. If we all judged each other just based on that, there would be no friends left in the world!" She chuckled and continued, "Frankly, I'm more worried about your health than scared about the actual problem. It seems stressful and almost painful to have your goof ball brothers in your head..." Kashi shrugged and licked her unruly chest fur flat. "Now I'm not saying that I like you at all, but from what I've seen, you're ok kid, and I'm really trying my best to be understanding. Don't take my lack of feeling personally though, I don't like many dragonfly's..." Kashi smiled up at Reaol and stretched slightly before resettling once more.

Reaol raised an eyebrow when she laughed but relaxed when he noticed the gentle side to her laugh. So it wasn't a problem. He wagged his tail a little unknowingly. He was just so happy and relieved to be accepted by someone who knew that his body had to release it somehow.
"Hey Reaol..she thinks your weak...hear that...shes worried about your health!" Cobalt interrupted his happiness but Reaol couldn't care less.
"Awe she likes you Reaol. Maybe we can all be friends." added Frost. He really was sweet at times.
"I think your right Frost." he hadn't intended to say it out loud but he was in a euphoric state of acceptance. He shook his head lightly to quiet his brothers and then noticed how Kashi had tried to become unattached again. This was new for both of them he guessed. He let his facade overtake him once more and he laughed. "don't worry i won't let it go to my head. There's already enough in there anyways."

Kashi smiled and nodded, quirking an eyebrow at the males actions. He seemed a little fidgety, but he was wagging his tail so Kashi guessed it was a good thing. Kashi couldn't help but smile too, the giddiness the male was feeling almost seemed contagious. Soon she felt her tail wagging too, causing her to lift a paw and step on it to keep it from moving so much. "So then, everything is alright between us? No hard feelings of any sort?" Kashi cocked her head and blinked at the male, "If not, you are welcome to come and visit my den... I have a few things to do today, and you may accompany me if you like..."

Reaol raised his eyebrow at how Kashi stepped on her tail. He could still feel how she felt. He held back a chuckle and smirked stepping on his own tail.
"You think that's real cute don't you traitor." Cobalt had nudged his way back into his mind.
"Traitor? Reaol, your not a traitor, are you?" Frost just had to inquire.
No...No I'm not. Though you might think so when I'm found out. Reaol knew the consequences he might face but he didn't care. He had no disagreements or qualms with this female. She had done nothing to him, and her mother..that was none of his business. Kashi was his friend. Or he licked to think of her as such now.
"I got nothing better to do. A trip sounds fun."

Kashi barked out a harsh laugh and stood, "Oh I am flattered... I'm your last resort for something interesting to do..." Turning around, Kashi flicked Reaol's nose with her tail and began to stalk off through the reeds. She paused for only a moment to scoop up the body of the fox she had slain into her mouth and continued on her way with purpose in her stride.
Kashi flung the fox around her neck so as to free her mouth and began to speak about the things she needed to do, not stopping to check if Reaol was keeping up. "There is a mother rabbit who is to give birth, she's been in a lot of pain and I've helped her with a hurt paw before so she trusts me. I want to check up on her first... if she is already having contractions we maybe held up for a bit, though I highly doubt it because my estimated due date isn't for another few days. I also want to pass by some yew berry bushes on the way to my den. Pups and teens who are wandering about often enough think the berries are edible and many of them almost get themselves killed. Those berries are potent enough to kill a full grown male boar quicker than a flash. When we return to my den this fox goes to the female df in there recovering from a stomach problem. If you are hungry feel free to hunt for yourself or wait for me to finish up with the lady so we can go together, it is your choice." Kashi glanced over her shoulder for just a moment to make sure the male had gotten all that.

Reaol chuckled at Kashi's comment and began to follow her through the Forrest. He suddenly realized that his chuckle seemed a little lower than normal. Perhaps he was coming down with a cold. Maybe Kashi could treat him? He began to nod and mutter things like "uhhuh" and "yeah"when he was noticing something else quite odd. His paws looked enormous. He looked down at them while he padded along next to kashi purely bewildered.
"So nervous your all swollen...how cute!?" Cobalt chided Reaol in his head but Reaol was so confused at the moment that he couldn't care less. Why was he so much higher from the ground than normal? Maybe his eyes were failing, or maybe it was the cold. He shook his head in an attempt to clear it but the vision remained the same. Reaol noticed a small puddle off to the side of the path Kashi was taking. He stopped next to it and leaned down to see his reflection.
"Whaaaaaat!!?" He threw himself away from the mirrored surfaced and was scrambling on the ground to stand back up completely flustered. He had completely changed. He was huge! Or..or was he? Was this just another trick of his mind like his brothers voices or frequent appearances? Had he finally lost it? "Ka..Kashi? Please..Please tell me what I look like?" His voice was soft and scared. This was the last thing he needed. To lose it when he had finally met a friend.

Kashi heard Reaol exclaim and whirled around, instantly on her guard again. Her hackles went up and her fur bristled, a snarl issuing from her throat, "What is it Reaol?! A boar? Reaol are you alright?!" Kashi looked around wildly the snarl turning into a bloody growl. But suddenly she stopped, and Kashi froze in her place. Blinking for a few moments, Kashi began to register the scene in front of her. With a sigh Kashi rolled her eyes at herself and mumbled, "Well this... is inconvenient..." Looking up into Reaol's eyes Kashi frowned and shook her head. "You wanna know what you look like Reaol...?" Just as suddenly as the transformation had occurred, a thought dawned on Kashi and her frown actually turned into a grin as she began to bark out a laugh before gleefully reporting to Reaol, "I'll tell you what you look like big boy! You look like and elder, you do! A great, big, fluffy elder!"

Reaol was not expectiong laughter of all things. This was a seriouse matter! He had either transformed instantaniously into something outlandish...or..he was loosing his mind.
"What the hell are you!?" Cobalt recoiled from him in his mind.
"www..ww...wh..Wheres.. mmm...mm.my bwother..." Frost cried thinking Reaol was lost to them and a monster had taken his place.
Basalt for once...remained silent.
"An elder...what the hell is that!! Lokk at me kashi I'm..I'm...huge!! This isnt me...This..theres these feeling...Kashi..kashi what happened to me!?" There was utter terror in his eyes as he looked back to the laughing female who was now so much shorter.
He was feeling differant. Not just physically, there was something else. Somthing that brewing inside of him waiting to be unleashed. He didnt like this feeling, not one bit and he was terrofied of somthing for the first time in his life. Himself.
