Dobby, Hermione, and Snape
Dobby protected Harry with everything he had. Even when he didn't know Harry, he knew that this was the boy who saved them all, and he had to help them. He remainied there for him throughout the rest of the story, and even ended by sacrificing his life in the seventh book. Dobby was truely selfless, and that's how I try to be.
Hermione always helped them out. She was a peace maker between the two boys, and though she always fought with Ron it was clear that the two were the perfect couple however much I wanted her with Harry. Many people at school call me Hermione, and I just love that.
Snape is awsome because he is so mean, but he's so loving. I have a teacher like him right now, and he's fun to tease. I'm constatly getting made fun of in that class, but I am able to fling it right back at him, and he's just how I picture snape. And hearing of how loyal he was just because of Lily. Even though Lily fell for his enemy and didn't even give him a chance. Snape is definatly cool. Though it's scary because when I think of him now I think of a terribly disturbing internet piece of him. That and my sister is in LOVE with him. I will never forget when I was a small 13 year old that believed I was in Gryffindor and I looked over at the librarian. I ducked so fast and covered my mouth because I was about to scream I was so scared because Snape sat right at the librarians desk. I was terrified, but I now love Snape, and anyone who knew me before could tell you easily I defended him from the begining.

You do not have my favorite anywhere in sight! My favorite characters would have to be Fred and George. I do believe Harry Potter comes in close third.

But Luna is awesome(r) mostly because we learn more about her than we learn about Tonks...

I think you should add Sirius to your poll. He's way cool.
But I would have to say my favorite is Nymphadora Tonks. She's the best!
Draco Malfoy would be second best on my list. O.o

On another note, I am loving the fact that Luna is in the lead! She is my second favourite character, right after Neville.

Sirius. Freaking. Black.
I love Snuffles!!!
He's sweet and loyal and all those years in Azkaban have left him a tad crazy! Just what I like in a guy!
Well not really the crazy part so much... but still...
Plus I always felt bad for poor Sirius, having to go to Azkaban for what Pettigrew did... It was mean... And then his cousin offed him... stupid wench... (although I love Helena!) But yeah I just plain like Sirius. My favorite after him is Remus. Because he's cool. And a werewolf. Only thing cooler than a werewolf is a vampire. And there were none of those in the books, except when Mr. W said that Rita Skeeter was complaining that the Ministry should focus more on the vampire problem than whatever it was they were focusing on at the time. But anyways...
Sirius and Remus rule!
I also love Dumbledore, and Tonks, and Trelwyney, and Luna.
Why?
Gay, Weird, Crazy, and again, Crazy. In that order.

My favorite characters are (in order):
1. Sirius Black
2. Fred and George
3. Severus Snape
But since none of them were on the poll, I went with my fourth favorite, Remus Lupin. At the same time, I love a lot of the characters, so it doesn't seem fair to pick just one! heart

James Potter, Ronald Weasley, Lily Potter, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and Neville Longbottom.
(Not in that order, though Ron and James are tied for first.)
1) James Potter- Okay, he is freaking gorgeous. first of all. His personality is amazing. He is a jokster and he is smart, intelligent, and egotistical. Okay, being egotistical isn't good, but it shows how his character developed and changed for the girl he loved. Anyways, he only picked on Snape because he was jealous that Snape basically got the girl when they were younger since Lils and Sev were best friends. He is just amazing in my eyes. XD
2) Ronald Weasley- He is amazing. If I had a friend that loyal, that stuck with me for 26 years, I would be like wow. He too is simply gorgeous. He always has been. His faults make him so lovable. He learns through everything he does. No one can ever see why things mean so much to him, like his prefect badge. He has been overshadowed his whole life and this is his one shot to be in the spotlight. His personality is just wow.
3) Lily Potter- I think personality-wise, Lily and I are quite a bit alike. She is smart, well-known, kind, and caring. I mean any girl James Potter falls in love with must be amazing. Her relationships in the book make me smile. Everyone who knew her was obviously quite fond of her. Plus, her love story with James is unbelievable cute. I love it!
4) Remus Lupin- I love how J.K developed his character in Deathly Hallows. I was unbelievably relieved when he stayed with Tonks and Teddy. I also love how it was implied that his character grew as he became friends with the marauders. Their friendship was what we all dream of.
5) Sirius Black- His character was amazing. He could be cunning, witty and funny and then he turned playful (usually!), loving and loyal. (Like Snuffles!) He risked his life to go to Azkaban and be called a traitor in order to avenge his best friends. He was just amazing.
6) Neville Longbottom- His character in spectacular and is overshadowed in my opinion. His character throughout the series is very well developed. Plus, he is pretty darn gorgeous if I do say so myself.
Tadah! All my favorite characters XD!

I love Draco and Snape the most. heart But I've always liked Ron pretty well too.
Snape is my favorite because he basically was a jerk to everyone but the Slytherins. Which I think is actually pretty funny that Dumbledore never cracked down on him about it. Plus his whole relationship (or lack there of) with Lily (who is someone I can't stand but that's unrelated, hah). Snaaaape. heart

Harry is my favorite...I'm not entirely sure though, it may just be my obsession with Daniel Radcliffe! If I wasn't so obsessed with Daniel, I'd choose the Weasley Twins, Fred and George, because they are amazing and extremely hilarious!!! Actually, I love Luna...and Snape...and McGonnagal(sp?)...honestly, the characters are all fantastic! I even love Filch and Peeves!

I have a few
First is Fred and George. They are how I wish my brother was. Honestly Ron doesn't know how good he has it with them. They aren't that bad compared to my brother. Also I love jokes, but am not very good with them myself. You have to like sarcasm and weird observations to get my jokes, and even then they aren't always funny.
Then their is Luna. I have lot in common with her in someways, not so much in others. Their is just something about her I like. I think it's the strange air-headed-ness combined with the sheer joy of being who she, that I like.
Then their is Dumbledor/Sirius/Tonks in a tie for third. Dumbledor for his Merlin like ways. He means well in his meddling. Hoping for the best out come with his work and getting good back most of the time, but when it really counts even he is fallible.
Sirius because he is a big kid. Let's face it he just wanted to have fun,be with his friends, and get to know and raise his godson. Even more so I think after he got out of Azkaban, because he realized how important it was to be happy.
As for Tonks, the transforming is cool but I really liked her attitude. I want what I want, and I'm going to get it, and I don't care if you don't want me too or if you stand in my way! xd She would have been a good mom, to Teddy if she hadn't died. She had a short life but she had a lot of fulfillment. She married who she loved, got the jobs she wanted and was good for the most part at it and she died to save her son, and his future in their world. I think their is no more honorable death. I know dieing isn't the outcome we all wanted, but she did what was right, not everyone can say that.

My absolute favorite is Sirius!!
It's kinda obvious, by the username and all. My favorite part in the whole series comes when I reread POA and they say he laughed when he was arrested! That really sums it up for me! I mean he knew he was in the right, and instead of going mad trying to prove his innocence, he just laughed at the fact that the ministry got it all wrong!
It's really his sense of humor. Plus the fact that he turns into a dog! I am a dog fan, through and through. Cats and I don't get along too well.
Second favorite has to be a toss up between Snape and Luna.
Snap'es condescending manner is awesome. I trusted him all along. You have no idea how upset I was when he killed Dumbledore! There was this extreme feeling of betrayal!
I can't help but love Luna, because there are so many things she does that I see in myself. I love how different she is, and how she believes in things that even tose in the magical world don't! I am sooo incredibly glad JK put a character like that into the books! It shows that the magical world really is like the muggle world, right down to the fact that they have people curious about things that most believe don't exist!
