I liked, Things that go Bump in the night, and The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass. Which I've forgotten most of the things that happened in it (Looking Glass) by now. >.<;

OliviaFalconer Niko Sohma red_moon_wolfess Niko Sohma Jiggery Pokery And the last books that I remember reading as a child were the Harry Potter books. My 5th grade teacher read to us the 1st Harry Potter book after recess everyday until we finished it. That got me to want to have that book. Which got me to want to read the other books. Which got me to become more interested in other longer books. And well, now I have two bookshelves full of books I love very much. Wow, same with me! I always had my nose in a book when I was younger, and in fifth grade my teacher read Harry Potter, and then it became more than reading to me. That was when I started on actually writing, and doing deeper analysis on the things that I read.
Aside from Harry Potter, I read The Time Warp Trio books, started into some classic literature, and those small anthologies of "scary stories to tell before bed" (or something to that effect). XD I got into the harry potter books after I saw the first movie. I was 11 at the time and read the books as I got older, so Literaly as Harry grew up so did I. It was really cool to have a character mature with you. I agree. I was 10 when the first book was out (maybe the second too), so I grew up with him from the beginning, too.You guys are making me feel old--I was just getting started in my library job when the first Harry Potter came out. When I was 11, I was discovering The Dark Is Rising, though that had been in print a while. LUCKY! I wish I had a job at a library!.... Although they might not want me there seing as I would probably spend most of my time reading and almost none of my time helping people out. ^_^;;

Harry Potter, and this one book, Olive the Other Reindeer. I'm no sure if anyone's read it or seen the animation they made, but it's just so cute! ^-^

There were lots of books I read as a kid. All the Ramona books by Beaverly Cleary, anything by Roald Dahl (especially Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and the Hank the Cowdog books. I wouldn't read Ramona anymore, but the others...probably, yeah.

I read a lot of books when I was little, but the one book that I really remember loving is Little Women. I must've read that book at least twelve times a year. Also, I wanted Laurie to marry me. I was weird like that.

Whew. Haven't been on here in a looong time. I've been lurking like a DnD nerd at a Focus on the Family Convention.
Ahh yes. Books of my youth... I loved Bill Peet. The Wumps and the Isle of Kookatumdee were two of my favourites. I also really loved the African folktale The Greedy Zebra. Later, when I could read, I grew to love the Animorphs. As well as Redwall- a little sci-fi, a little fantasy, the perfect mix for the perfect nerd.

I remember reading a lot of Beatrix Potter's books. The Tale of Tom Kitten was my favorite. I think I still have those books, but they're hidden somewhere amongst my others. At once stage I even remember I used to read R.L. Stein's Goosebumps books. I used to devour about one to two books per day if I was lucky. I remember, as a child, that when we used to go to the library, even if I couldn't read a book, I'd always get the one with the most words in it. After I learnt to read, I tried taking out books with a lot more words in them. I read a ton of Enid Blyton and Roahl Dahl books. George's Marvelous Medicine was my absolute favorite at one time.

When I started reading at 8, Jennifer Murdley's Toad, Dealing with Dragons, and the Warrior's Series('tis by Erin Hunter. There are about.. what? 15 books in it now, although I no longer read the series.) were my very favorites.
When I was 10 I really liked Tamora Pierce. I still read her now, but not as avidly or as joyously as I used to.

My favorite book when I was really young was The Tinderbox, and through third through sixth grades, I read most of the Redwall series.
I haven't read any Harry Potter, and certainly don't plan to.

When I was a kid, I loved the Tamora Pierce books to bits. I still remember her books fondly, but I'm afraid to pick them up again in case they're not as good as I remember. The Unicorns of Balinor was another favourite. I don't think I ever finished the series, though. I still have a lot of the Boxcar Children books scattered around my room. Then there was the Enchanted Forest series. I still love the Enchanted Forest series. And, er...when I was young, I really liked the Babysitter's Club. Then I got a little older, and tried to reread one in order to relive my happy childhood memories. That is what's known as self-inflicted torture.

I used to read the Goosebumps books when I was in Elementary school. That's how I figured out I loved books. 3nodding
