Not exactly, but... One time, I locked my tuba case, with my tuba in it, before a concert. I loaded the tuba onto the truck and took the key home. when I got to the concert place, I went to open my tuba case and suddenly... that one latch wouldn't open. I had a rapid flashback of locking it, and I let out a long stream of curses. I ran out of the basement-instrument place like there was a convicted serial killer after me, got my dad to drive home at the speed of light, and bring back the key. While I was waiting, I considered breaking the lock, but then I'd have to pay for it. And, if I didn't get my tuba out on time, set up (oh, yeah, because putting a mouthpiece on takes FOREVER... -sarcasm-), and hauled a** to the stage, I was going to be barbequed and then thrown off the edge of the Grand Canyon (though why my band director would go all that way just to throw me off I have no idea...). And fail either my midterm or final, I can't remember. Because that concert WAS the midterm or final. But my dad got the key, I unlocked the case, and happily played without further accident. Until I had to change my clothes and set up my Bass Trombone for Jazz Band. All in about 15 minutes. From dress to tux shirt, vest, and pants that don't fit me. I always get on stage around two minutes before we start.
Holy mother of Jesus, I wrote a lot. D:

wow i dont want to insult anybody but all i have to say is wow......i make sure my girls have their flutes and music before we go anywhere for either MB or concert... im the flute section leader so i make sure!!!
and besides is bad to take somebody elses instrument becasue each one is made differently their not ALL exactly alike and you might be able to play on one and then not on another one......
my flutes stay at school, i practice at school, and it STAYS at school because thats the safest place for it espically if you own it.

Ack! I'm glad that everything turned out okay, though. I often have similar fears...none of which come to life.

One time we had a concert at our school but there was a couple of bands there so we had to wait our turn to go on the stage. I put my folder of music down and then I left the room. I completely forgot where I put it and we had to go on so I was running around the school wondering where the hell it got to and I still couldn't find it. Good thing though my partner had all the same music as me so I sat beside him and I was saved. Later that evening I went back to the music room and found my folder in the closet where I usually put my trumpet.

once when i had a concert, the year eight euphonium was carrying her case and suddnly realised it was really light.
she opened it up, and lo and behold, her eupho wasn't in there.
she made me tell the conductor.
i started with "excuse me, but Prachi's eupho isn't in its case..."
the conductor exploded at me in front of the entire four bands, somehow missing the word 'Prachi' and replacing it with 'my'. Sha ranted for full ten minutes, i'm telling you.
i swear i could have melted into the floor.
then Prachi realised her eupho buddy had already unpacked it for her, and she came up and said happily, "it's alright, i've found it! was she very mad?"
i almost died.
true story, folks.

Ok, so the way our concerts normally went was the orchestra would play on the stage, the 7 and 8 choir would switch on the same risers and the 7 and 8 band would switch in the same chairs (Whoever wasn't playing would sit in the bleachers, whoever was would be on risers/in chairs) and then jazz band would take over the stage after orchestra...
So I had the bright idea to leave my jazz band music up on the stage while i played in regular band... GUESS WHAT!? they switched it around so Jazz band was playing in regular band seats instead of on the stage at the LAST ******** MINUTE.
I thought I would go insane... I couldn't find my music godamn anywhere...
Luckily I have a friend in orchestra who found it for me and we kicked a** at the concert... 3nodding blaugh whee
