Mmmm, nice warm meal of spaghetti before he went crawling back to the bar for the night. At least this meeting was going smoother than the one with Spence.
Demy fidgeted nervously at the next question.
"It's hard...very...very hard."
Hard indeed. Being solo meant you had to plan your own things, and hold yourself together during a gig. No one would be there to cover up a bad note, or give you a bit of extra support during breaks. That was something he sorely missed with the breakup of the Oreos.

"That's what i though," she nodded. "Makes me kind of glad I didn't try to go solo then."
It wasn't long before they got to a small complex of apartments. Moving swiftly, Lali led her former bandmate to her front door, got it unloacked and open and shooed him inside.
Once there, while small, it was neat and well cared for. Slinging her bag of lacy things onto the couch, the blue haired female turned and pointed sternly at one of the chairs flanking a small kitchen table.
"You. Sit. I need to change outta this stuff before I start dinner and get your face cleaned up. Phone's right by you and I personally, would recommend calling whatever roomates you have and let them know you're having dinner at a friends."
With that, she grinned and went into her room before closing the door firmly behind her.

"Heh, yeah..."
Oh how he wished he didn't have to be a solo artist either. But Demy wasn't about to go crawling back to the others for forgiveness. After all, he hadn't done anything wrong!
Green eyes roamed the apartment. At least Lali took care of her place, unlike Spence who seemed to barely pick up after himself. Shooed to a seat, the boy plopped down and watched after the female as she disappeared into her room. Hrmph, call Lou? He had to snort at that one. Lou would either not give a s**t he was here, or maybe rant at him for sneaking out yet -again-. Lou would find out where he was later, no reason to tell him now.
That settled, Demy resumed looking around, tail swishing a bit.

Lali was purposely taking her time changing into simple pajama pants and a baggy t-shirt. She still wasn't quite sure why she wasn't ripping Demy's face off and was instead offering to cook for him. Maybe it was that he'd so obviously been beaten. The bruises combined with how down he seemed to be added up to a pitiable sort of pathetic-ness that her maternal instincts were helpless against.
That and...well... it was nice to see someone she knew and had been friends with.
"What a mess," she muttered softly as she picked up a brush and combed her hair back out of her eyes before fastening it there with couple barettes. Once finished, she looked around her broom closet of a room for her scrapbooks and the set of pictures from her last job. She needed a quiet moment to at least look through the ones from the shoot and decide if she wanted to really try working for that particular company.
"Now where did I leave those?" she asked herself. "I could have sworn I brought them in...here... Oh s**t!"
The precious scrapbook with all the photos she'd acumulated from their band days, the ones where they were just kids having fun and not The Band and those awful, borderline porno proofs from the shoot, had both been left on the coffee table. The same damn table that she'd blithely plopped Demy down beside.
Forgetting about the moment of privacy she'd wanted. She had to rescue those damned pictures before Demy saw them!

Well...this was odd. He was sitting, quite calmly, in the home of his former singer as he waited for her to make a spaghetti dinner. Said singer had viciously slapped him not too long ago, and only seemed to back off when realizing Spence had gotten to him first. He almost had to wonder if he should be getting out of here while Lali was still on good terms with him, or simply ride the pity train as long as he could.
Clearly the correct choice was to enjoy her attention as long as she'd allow him to have it!
A glance to the side revealed a book sitting on top of a coffee table. With another quick glance to Lali's door to be sure the female was still inside, Demy grabbed the book and set it in his lap to look through. The boy shoved his hood back down, and opened the book. ....Erf....pictures of a happier time. How he wished these pictures weren't just a memory anymore. Carefully flipping through the pages, Demy landed on a rather good picture of the band simply enjoying each other's company. Someone else had taken it for them, and seeing the four of them laughing and clinging all over each other brought a wave of regret to the youth. Ears flat, Demy sighed and rubbed a paw across the page containing the picture.
Thankfully for Lali, he hadn't found her shoot pictures yet.

Lali came bursting out of her room, a slightly panicked expression flickering rapidly across her face. Seeing the precious envelope from the shoot still lying on the table, she heaved a sigh of relief and managed to adjust her pace to a sedate walk.
Scooping up the envelope, she glanced to the scrapbook in Demy's lap, notcing the picture that his paw seemed to hover near.
"We had fun then, didn't we?" she asked quietly, taking the envelope and setting it out of reach for now. She didn't add that they'd still be having fun if he hadn't taken to demeaning his own bandmates on a regular basis. Why pick a fight?
"Come on, honey," she said instead. "I want to get your face cleaned up a bit. I'll fix dinner just as soon as I finish patching you up."

Demy quickly lifted his head, giving Lali a short panicked look as she burst out of her room. Though the female seemed to calm down quite quickly, it left him slightly on edge.
"We did..."
The young leader nodded, petting the picture a moment long before sighing and closing the book. It wasn't worth getting all emotional over it anymore. The band was finished. The end.
At Lali's command Demy got back to his feet.
"You don't have to worry about it...I fixed it up a little, right after it happened."
It -was- still tender, but he'd live.

Snorting, Lali gently bullied him into the bathroom.
"I'm sure you did. But I'd be willing to bet that you never really cleaned soem of those cuts up. You don't want an infection do you? That'd hurt a lot worse in the long run."
Once she got into the bathroom, she hummed softly as she gathered up a washcloth, some Mecurichrome and a tube of anti-biotic gel. Turning on some hot water, she lifted herself to sit on the counterspace by the sink and grinned.
"All right, honey. You stand facing me here so I have some light to see by. It's gonna sting like hell, but once I'm done, I can guarantee your face won't feel quite as wretched."
Soaking the cloth in the hot water, she held it up expectantly, grinnign all the while.

Demy went along with the gentle bullying, ending up in the bathroom with Lali.
"I DID clean them up! Honest!"
Enough to stop the bleeding, at least. That was all that was required at the time.
Ears flattened at the mention of this stinging like hell. Demy was no strnager to pain, but said pain usually accompanied a much funner activity than this. For a brief moment his gaze darted to the bathroom door as he thought of escape, but he quickly discarded that idea in favor of keeping Lali on good terms with him. Sighing the boy stepped over and shut his eyes, readying himself for the pain.

Taking the washcloth, Lali very carefully and thoroughly cleaned Demy's face, making sure to wash away the scabbing that had started to form. Once she'd finished that, she patted his face dry and went to work with the rest of her tools. The first aid cream was for the most minor of the injuries. That wouldn't sting, but the mercurichrome... Oh that was going to sting like a b***h. Still. It was for his own good. And the red stain would fade after an hour or so.
All in all, it took a remarkably short time to get him cleaned up. Lali ruffled her former bandmate's hair and smiled.
"See? That wasn't so bad, was it? And at least now your face should start feelin' a bit mroe like normal. Now, what say I go prepare soem food as a reward for behavin'?"

Everything was going just fine, until Lali got out the mercurichrome. Demy couldn't help but whine and squirm a bit as she put that on. Still, he was rather behaved, and at least managed to stay put instead of running out the door screaming.
That finished, Demy slowly opened his eyes. He was looking a little pouty, but he'd probably get over it once the stinging stopped.
"I guess it wasn't so bad....but food will be much better."
The boy's tail gave a small wag, and he slunk out of the bathroom to get out of Lali's way.
