Well I would...but they ran the race with no sponsors. So unless they get some more money going their way, they might just go the way of Ginn racing.

The performance is in the cars, they just need some help to sponsor the cars and who knows, with more money, they might be able to do more testing and get even better.

Ginn wasted a lot of money on things that weren't involved with performance like pit boxes and extra or fancy crap like the big teams have instead of what he needed to.

Yates needs some sponsors and fast. The money they have now isn't going to last forever! I don't care how good they're finishing, no money=no racing.

This post brought to you thanks to the Mr. Obvious show. "Thanks Mr. Obvious, you're a life saver!"

Everyone needs sponsorship to run. Yates is an older team with money in the bank. They can last, but I dont think they can for the whole season.

Unfortunately this is a perfect reason why I detest Ford & Rousch and its marketing strategies. Ford's answer to Yates struggles is "we are with you all the way".. yeah to hell. Most of the other manufactures help balance the power of its teams, to ensure a level playing field. This is evident with Dodge's pull out and constant moving of valvoline and general mills. Gm, and Toyota are also known to do this ( Aero sponsorship from the 4 to the 66) However Ford has never once balanced or done the right thing since it came into Nascar. Rewind the clock 15 years ago to when another prominent Ford figure was on the ropes... Bud Moore. By the early nineties it was no secret that the once championship caliber team was near the point of extinction. Bud's only ace was another guy also on the ropes.. Geoff Bodine. Bud pleaded with Ford for sponsorship and more resources to keep up the competition. Ford's answer was talk to Jack.. Bud asked for a partnership and or a sponsor to help him out. A few years and another cold shoulder later Bud was calling it quits with part timer Derrick Cope. I don't even have the time to discuss the 1965-66 scandal and the Holman and Moody departure rolleyes . Ford as allowed Jack to make a monopoly of Ford racing in Nascar. Jack has more sponsors than Hendrick and Gibbs combined. His answer to this.. we need more $$$. He stole the Citifinacial sponsorship from RYR last year, forcing Yates to close up their Busch program along with Leicht ride. Jack even stole Exide from Yates before he even had the chance to put it on his car! I could go on forever, nonetheless I digress. Jack has the power and the money to allow one of his sponsorships to move over to Yates. But he would never do it, and Ford isn't opposing. Jack wouldn't even Triple A or Viagra move over to Yates on the principle of selfishness. Rousch has to let one of his teams go soon, and he has shown no hope of letting the sponsorship to trickle down to Yates. scream . Even my father a die hard Ford fan for years (literally he has gone through 3 Mustangs and a Capri lol He only bought a monte SS b/c of Mark moving over xd ) can't stand it. Ford NEEDS to step in and at least attempt to rectify the situation. But I doubt that they ever will stare ...

Sort of like what happened to Junior Johnson's race team after he sold it to the Bodines?

Actually, Jack Roush is the reason Ford got back into NASCAR. He basically is Ford Racing after Ford pulled out, then he picked up where they left off, and got them back in. Long story short, if Roush Racing never happened, no Ford team would be running right now.

Lol dude your thinking of Holman & Moody back in the 1950-60s. When Jack came around, Ford had no use for him.. well at least in Nascar. Jack came in Nacar with Mark in 1988... no victories and only a hand full of top fives. Meanwhile Awesome Bill in his number 9 Ford spanked the competion in route to another Ford Championship. biggrin Add to Elliot the bunch of Davey Allison's ( driving for you guessed it RYR) victories and the come from behind victory at Phoenix of Alan Kulwicki. In fact Rousch never played a major part until 1990 when Mark began to flourish. exclaim

This is ridiculous that they still don't have a sponsor, they are both running competitive enough to deserve a good sponsor. They need a big time sponsor to sign their team, not a one race here and there deal. THen again think back to 2004, roush racing din't have sponsorship on the 99 for the entire year, one of the many reasons for burton to move over to richard childress racing.
