Adolfo, no matter how bright and quick of a study, felt a bit of a headach coming on with information overload. Though he forced the information about sores and the light rain leaf. "There are so many things to remember, no wonder why only a select few can actually handle being healers." Adolfo thought outloud.
"Not that I actually want to end the lesson, but I think my brain is about to split in half with so much to recall. You have had many seasons to learn all this, I'm not expecting to learn your life's lesson in one day, or one night. Though once the sun is down, I do need to do a small walk around in the forest. Maybe I'll find that vine and those flowers tonight." He gave a soft hopeful smile.
"One day, alright, shall we meet back here?" he asked figuring this be as good of a spot as any.
((If you want to through Fei out on the night time, I have no problem with that.))

((mkay)) Alas smiled and nodded at Adolfo glad he realized his own limits, the lessons would be spread and the next day she would bring him practice instead of new things to fill his brain with.
"Examine the roots you have found and try and commit them to memory, We have time to teach you..." She turned to head back off but stopped and gazed over her shoulder. "Even when I leave the pack...you have only to ask me and I shall continue to teach you and help you in any new venture." She nodded softly and walked off.
As Darkness Fell... A shadow slipped along the edge of the territory curiosity in its ruby gaze. As the moon rose it found no wolf but only what appeared to be the corpse of a lynx strewn by the edge of the river...

"Alright, I'll see you in a day, and staying in touch will probably be best," he could spread out the lessons, not fret about having to absorb them all right away, and with Alas still teaching, it would insure her life span. Which it seemed they both figured to be shorter then most wolves.
"Have a nice evening Alas," Adolfo spoke his fairwell and lifted the two roots up very gently so not to snap them. He would place them in his willow and then go searching for the vine and flower.
Having taken the lesson from Alas, it took most of the daylight away, and that was perfectly fine with the ebony and ivory male. The roots were in his willow and now his dark paws, which he was slowly growing into, moved towards the river.
The same river where his coat of mud was right off of, but that was trivial for tonight. The young sprinter built male was on a different mission.

The Next Day...
The lynx 'carcass' had vanished from the side of the river and was strewn under a bush only the scent of fresh dirt came off of it as if a light mist and made the soil wet.
Alas was a little ways from the bush preoccupied with the heavy bundle in her mouth which was squirming like mad and cursing at her. She paid it no heed though and continued stopping to sit and wait for Adolfo, it wasn't that early in the morning and the day was clouded, she figured he would be content to work with the overcast. She was content to be able to show him what she had.

Laying inside his willow, the ivory and ebony male looked at the different items before him. He had found the vine, the flower and even some good yew bark. Pressing his nose to the bark Adolfo had declared that if it was easy to find, then it would be perfect for splinting.
Ears flickering about, he was aware that Alas was back, the male left everything in a nice straight line. However, he hung the flower upside down so it could dry, and be a reference to future uses. Moving from the hollowed out branches the dark paws moved through the forest.

Alas gave a soft smile as she caught Adolfos scent, yet she couldn't quite make him out yet, his talent for the shadows was strong. A Shaman...? It was a question she had asked herself since the day before, it seemed to her she had finally found one. It made her all the more eager to teach Kattana's son, his gifts would aid him in detecting new sources with which to heal.
The pink healer sat down the writhing bundle still clutched firm in her jaws and letting out a string of unhappy exclamations. Today she had decided would give the teen a chance to put his skills to good use. She could also show him what the bundle was made of, for she had slipped into the humans lands to steal the gauzy material they called a 'bandage'. Alas had watched it's use once before and tried it for herself, but she had pulled it off and decided it was too difficult to change and keep clean. Perhaps Adolfo would have better ideas for it.

Seeing something at Alas' paws, Adolfo bowed his head as he walked into the clearing. "Good day to you Alas," he greeted. No reason to be all secretive when he was being expected.
pointing his nose to the bundle at her paws, Adolfo asked, "What's in there?"

Alas slowly lowered the bundle and put her paw down firmly where her jaws had kept it shut. "A little lesson for you...How did you fare last night?" She ignored the squirming and yapped curses coming from the bandage bundle.
"Find anything interesting?" She sat down relaxed ready to teach.

Adolfo looked at the small bundle that yapped with a raised brow, a lesson she said. Well this should be interesting to say the least. How had he fared the night before? Well, like always, the night was his time just like in the shadows, nothing seemed impossible for him in that time or place.
"I fared very well, I found the flower you spoke of and the vine, plus some soft, but firm bark that could work as a splint if needed." He informed Alas, not having seen anything else out of the ordinary. A few more wolves walked through the forest, that was about it.
"So this lesson?" his head tilted to the side about a fraction of an inch, "What does it consist of, besides putting the knowledge from yesterday into action?"

Alas smiled and nodded glad he had found the items based on description some would be easier then others. She gazed down at the bundle and smiled "Your lesson is a practical one, I have brought you a rather unruly patient and you must pacify him and heal him, once you diagnose of course. It's important to figure out whats wrong before you can help." she laughed lightly and looked up at him.
"Ready?" Her paw eased up a little on the bundle opening and there was more squirming and cursing from within.

It had taken Adolfo most of the night to find a decent and, to his quality, viable items that he sought. With a quirk in his ears, Adolfo looked between his teacher and the bundle. "Diagnose and pacify, this sounds easy in just words, but the sound of whatever is in the bag, I don't think so." The black and white head pulled back some.
With a nod and a wrap around look, the teen shifted his body into a weird stance, neck wise, but had nothing more then inquisitive and curiosity written all over him.

Alas smiled and watched as Adolfo moved before slipping her paw away at his nod and flipping the bundle of bandages aside. "I found him in one of those human traps."
The fox wriggled and squirmed bursting out of the bundle of bandages and looking between Adolfo and Alas. He bared his fangs and crouched low his tan body held white slash marks along his back and his paws were dipped in black. The sly creature huffed and lay low it seemed to favor its left side and its right paw was held at an odd angle. "You'll never take me alive!" It burst out and flung itself at Adolfo.

Narrowing his eyes at the crazy fox that had been trapped by the humans, Adolfo gave a slight look at Alas. Was she serious about this....Wooh. With the snap of reality from the shadows, Adolf had popped back from the now flying crazy fox.
Never take him alive, hmmm, darn to bad he wasn't like his father. Snap the neck and leave them be...or was that a story that his mother had said was tied to that feline. No, he shook his head, pacify the little mongrel and not kill it, that was his job.
Watching the swift little legs, Adolfo paid major heed to his shadows, they whispered to him the tiniest fraction of each second of what to do for the 'flying' fox. Time was important, and he waited for the creature to leap back at him, the first thing he would do would be snatching the fox out of the air like his mother use to do with Rally and Shelby. She would lift them by the scruff of their neck, and be still for a couple seconds. That would be enough time for Adolfo to figure out what else to do...now it was just snatching the little creature.

Alas nodded softly as she watched the expressions on Adolfo's face, she had thought this way best. Unless she snapped Adolfo's leg and told him to heal himself, but a fox was just a smaller cousin of their species, if he could handle this then he could apply it to a larger patient. She held back a soft smile as Adolfo snapped up, she knew the frustration he felt. How many times had she wanted to throttle some stubborn wolf who wouldn't sit still and let her help. How many times had she herself felt so sick she thought it may have been preferable to die then force herself to remember how to make herself better.
But this too would pass with time, and practice for Adolfo and so she let him handle it on his own.
Dimitri was the little fox's name, but a name was certainly of no current importance. The little fox cringed in pain his right leg giving out from under him. As he tumbled to one side he tried again to fling himself at Adolfo little jaws snapping at the large wolf. Pain! So much pain! He was enraged by the way he had been trapped by those humans, then that pink wolf had slipped him out only to snatch him and wrap him up and present him to this other one. He would be no ones meal! He would be free! FREE AGAIN!

Taking to the better judgment, and clearing his mind, Adolfo did the unthinkable. He closed his eyes to listen to the little male before them, the right leg was giving the fox more pain then was necessary. In fact, Adolfo listened and seemed to figure because of his leg the fox was enraged.
The sound of paws shooting from the ground, the sound of the shadows being flung through. Nostrils flared and with smooth gentle precision, the teen's jaws opened up just enough to snatch at the fox's scruff and his body moved to the side for easier snatching as well. The moment he felt fur Adolfo's emerald eyes popped open. Had he grabbed the little fox safely?
