Glace was trying to regain his balance after stumbling back a bit after biting Ai, which costed him. He wasn't looking, and ended up taking an Ice Beam at point-blank range. He was flung roughly 20 feet and landed by a clump of roots at the bases of a few old trees (with quite an audible thump).
Sunnie looked at Ai, amost gasping in amazement. "Wow... Glace is Ice-type... that must've been a pretty powerful attack for him to get hurt like that." She rubbed her eyes in disbelief for a moment, but soon remembered what she was doing. "Ohh! Okay Glace, umm, bite!"
I won't let that dewgong win... Glace thought to himself, a bit dizzy from her move. He stood up rather quickly and almost tripped over the roots. When he finally regained his balance, he bared his fangs at Ai and jumped at her, on the attack.

Ai bellowed after having knocked Glace clean off his feet and into the air. When he came at her, she simply moved away from him.
Lixue had never seen Ai so battle hungry. Her red eyes where practically glowing with the need to conquer. "Ai, take down attack!"
Ai started to move and rather quickly over the difficult ground towards Glace and then launched her large self straight at him.

Glace tried to avoid the rampaging dewgong, but unfortunately just couldn't dart out of the way in time. He took a harsh blow and flew backwards a bit, and snapped a young tree in half.
"Eep... he's catching up to us..." Sunnie started pacing back and forth a little bit, biting her fingernails. "Alright, Glace! Let's try something! Ice Fang!"
Glace looked towards his trainer and nodded - he knew what to do. He looked in Ai's direction, attempting to stare her down as his fangs turned to ice. He ran up to her and lunged at her throat, aiming to freeze her.

(( yeah...I don't use status attacks in my battles and especially if it's a status that doesn't affect the pokemon like ice/ice... ))
Ai glared at Glace's owner for calling her a male.
"Ai! Use headbutt!"
Ai watched Glace come at her and then avoided him and raised up and then aimed straight at him in hopes of contact.

((I like to think of these battles as like the ones in the anime - Pikachu took down a Rhydon by using Thunderbolt on its horn for Gods sake xd ))
Glace came to the ground with a thud, growling at his own failure. Luckily, he saw Ai coming at him, and ducked before she could make contact Whew, safe again... he thought, But, I really shouldn't rely on my luck... I don't think it's gonna last...
Sunnie kicked the side of her trainer platform in fustration. "Arrgh, that always misses..." she thought. "Oh well. Back to good ol' fashioned offense!!"
Glace nodded. He liked attacking! Battling was fun, and he liked getting treats afterwards. He knew if he won this, he'd get a big feast, so he licked his chops in anticipation and ran headfirst at Ai.

Ai took the hit rather well before turning on Glace.

Ai powered it up and shot at Glace.

Glace turned to avoid the Aurora Beam, but moved too slowly - he took a hard hit to his hind leg. He got thrown back and landed amongst a tangle of roots.
"Eeeek! Come on, Glace!" Sunnie shouted. "You can do iiiit!!"
Glace lifted himself up from the ground and started panting. This is getting harsh... Glace thought to himself. I have to keep cool... His vision was beginning to get a little blurry, but he shook it off and looked straight at Ai. He forced himself to run at her - with a limp - and take her down with a hard tackle.
