Um....I hate to burst ya'll bubbles, but Eva is not a mecha series. Nope. The Evas, are not mechs. They are living beings, with armor, and people in their heads controlling them.Yeah, they're just Mecha-esque. Even if it does "copy other mech series" for some things, so what? We're not here to argue over if it's truly great or whatever, this isn't another A/M/C. If you don't like the series, don't post - end of discussion. I'm pretty sure they're considered biomechs by a large pop. of mecha fan.

Yuldo Hey don't worry no flaming from me. If you liked Eva you should try Runaway Space Ideon which a lot of ideas from Ideon are in Eva.

I liked Evangelion. It was a good series decent plot awesome alien fights. not many complaints on my part. But what is more amazing is NGE got me to pick up a christian bible and lifelong agnostic, just so I could understand more of the biblical references hell more than half of the series is biblical reference. it wasn't the best series but it is up there in my top ten.

so do you guys think the newer generation will enjoy the animated movie more or the live action movie more?
when I say animated movie I'm talking about "you are [not] alone"
and when I say newer generation I'm talking about the people who never seen the TV series.

I like Evangelion. My first time watching it was in japanese. I became interested and began to watch more in english.

I never could motivate myself to finish it. I like the Angels though they where just awesome. I will probably revisit it. I'm just planning to watch a few other animes first.
I'm a mega Angel fan now though.
