[[ I'll wait here for her to bring the baskets back ]]

Qin nodded anxiously, and said, "Yes, I can tell that if you didn't need to visit that twolegger you wouldn't have asked." He grinned and said, "And that its a hurt for your pride needing a twoleggers help" He nuzzled her affectionatly, and then said, "I will look forward to you bringing our children home." With one last nuzzle he acknowledged her leaving for the twolegger's home.

Hsien was stronger now that her sides weren't heaving with two rambunctious foals. She'd spent quite a few days back at the Clearing as her loyal nature accepted fine treats and rub downs from the wonderful two-legger that Hsien had fended off a kalona dragon for. She was quite happy that Qin trusted her to be away so long, though it still bothered her more than she let on.

A rope was tied to the baskets making it easier to take them with her. So she pulled them behind her making sure to move slowly as to not injure or disturb the babies sleeping inside. Keeping watch for danger she moved along taking subtle bites of grass.

As she neared the place where she had chosen as her sanctuary she called out with a smile, "Qin! Qin I have returned with two in waiting. Come see for they are quite the curiosity." For only a moment did her expression hold more of lively appearence, yet could darken and mold at the drop of a hat.

Qin had been dozing in the sun, but when he heard his mates voice he jumped up and cantered over. Bending over, he nuzzled her and said, "I am glad you have returned." Noticing the baskets he leaned down and gave each one a curious sniff. "Still, I am more glad that you have returned with these 'curiosities" He laughed, then nosed the baskets a little more.

"It seems to be that this one has my coloring, and that one, yours," He mused out loud. He nuzzled each basket, before returning upright and looking at Hsien. He grinned, and said, "Perhapes one, or both, will have your apptitude for fighting demons."

Hsien watched as Qin acknowledged each of the baskets feeling quite proudly she did visit the two-legger during that trying moment within her life. Now sitting before them rested their future be they calm, active, or unexpected. These were her children that Hsien had rested her very life upon uttering a phrase not so easily mentioned from someone proud and reserved as herself.

Whatever was waiting she'd train in their youth to be as valiant and brave as she was. No matter what the cost her imprint would seep into their subconscious, the next defense toward the evil that was consuming the land.

"I'm sure they will, " she nodded with pride to her mate admiring the symbols the tired girl painted upon each. They were opposites of them both. It had been several days so she was sure they would emerge soon from their enclosures.

Qin smiled at Hsien's reply. He was always anxious when she went out to fight demons, but he knew it was a part of her, and he accepted it. Though he always worried.

Looking at the baskets, Qin felt proud to be a father. These were his children, the children he would love and care for, and someday grow up and maybe have children of their own. He smiled at the thought, chiding himself for thinking so far ahead into the future. He leaned over one of the baskets and gave a curious nuzzle. He had thought it had trembled. It seemed rather cold outside suddenly.

He knew it sounded silly, but he couldn't help asking, "Do you think they feel the cold in there?" He felt a little worry creep into his voice, and he pawed the ground anxiously.

Martin did not want to come out of his basket. He was nice and warm. He had felt the cold winds seep in though the tightly woven wicker, and had snuggled deeper into it. He could sense his sister was nearby him still, after all that jostling and tumbling. He let out a tiny sigh, then closed his eyes and rested in the warmth of the basket.

((Been a bit sick this week and working some overtime *sighs* I apologize on the wait. I'm not sure when Jareth will RP so I'll take over for Gong for now))

Hsien watched her basket anxiously herself, though she remained calm and almost emotionless. She wasn't the type to simply burst outward in her joy and mirth, rather remain solemn and positive to the future that rested at her feet.

She noticed a disturbance as the foal beneath her moved within the enclosure and smiled, "No. I'm sure they are warm and comfortable. For they carry our blood and are strong and secure." she noted with a warm yet comfortable expression.

The filly nestled inside heard voices as she perked her ears toward them. Like her brother she was in no hurry to escape her enclosure and see this new world outside. Taking to the strong yet sensitive feminine voice nearest to her, the young filly wondered what this soft yet stern one looked like. But for now she'd rest just a little longer before finding out. She didn't want to seem too anxious, but she'd find out when she was ready.

(( No problem ^_^ ))

Qin nodded in assent, Hsien's words were true. He imagined it was much warmer inside those baskets than it was out here. Looking around, he saw a small flower pop up out of the ground, the first flower of spring. He let out a jubulent whinny, the first spring thaw was on its way. He danced a little, being careful not to jar the baskets precious contents.

He leaned over and nuzzled Hsien, saying, "Yes, they will be strong, perhapes having their mothers strength as well." He grinned slyly, and added, "And perhapes their fathers easy going personality."

Martin heard strange voices above. One was strong and stern, but full of hidden compassion. The other was free and loud. He grunted softly, wondering what these two creatures standing above him were doing. He had grown hungry, and his mouth was a little dry. He wondered if there was water and yummies to eat out there. Curiously, he nudged the top of the basket. It moved a little, but not much.

Akwardly, he flipped onto his back and, crammed into the space of the basket, tried to kick open the covering with his feet. He succeded in moving it a little more. It felt strange to be on his back, so he flipped back over and, instead of pushing up, started pushing the lid to the side.

Hsien had noted the disturbances in the baskets feeling the days had swept past them like tides in the ocean. Was there a certain set amount of days that babies preferred to lie within those sheltered sanctuaries? Hsien knew at one time she herself had done the same routine yet she couldn't fathom the cycle of a foal's mentality of staying in a basket. Perhaps they truly were content and unstressed sitting within those dark little enclosures filled with food and water till they could step out in the great world. Though Hsien was a patient mare she longed to see her children more than anything causing herself to lean downward and blow softly on the brighter basket, followed then by a nudge of her nose.

"Come out little one... make your mother and father wait no more." she insisted sounding deep yet compassionate with another nudge. She then stepped back beside her mate and waited.

"Yes. They will be both I'm sure..." she noted to Qin before her eyes rested firmly upon the basket once more.

The nudge was something that woke the filly's senses followed by the deep voice of reasoning. She yawned with a tiny stretch them looked around as the light flickered in the basket. Nosing about she realized the last of her rations she'd nibbled off and on was gone, along with the drink that helped her throat stay quenched. Suddenly she wanted to stand more than anything as her legs pushed her upward to nose the basket lid. Feeling a bit of a budge she pushed a little more feeling it give way. As the lid sprang back she was nearly flooded with light that intensely made her eyes burn for a moment.

She then looked over at the two adults soaking in their images realizing the stern gaze and a laid back one. This she could picture which voice went with who now.

The white filly looked around, she was unsure about her surroundings. She was eying her surroundings carefully, slowly she stumbled to her legs attempting to get to her feet. She wobbled some as she took a few steps. Once she got the hang of it, she trotted around happily.

Qin gasped with pleasure as a filly, his daughter, pushed away the lid of her basket and emerged into the world. She looked so much like him. He smiled joyfully, looking at his daughter with a strong feeling of compassion for the gangly little foal. He walked over, a little hesitently. He was unsure how he was supposed to introduce himself to his daughter.

Martin sensed his sister's emergance into the outside world. He sighed, a little huff. It reverberated a little in the enclosed space. Looking around, he saw the lack of food. He snuffled a little, looking for some piece of food that might have escaped his attention, though that was unlikely. He looked up at the baskets lid, then decided he wanted out. He was hungry.

He nudged the lid of the basket off, the sudden light blinding him. He squinted in the bright light, and made out three shapes. His vision adjusted, and he saw the outside of the baskets world. There was white stuff all over the ground, and there was lots of big brown things standing up, holding out many arms. He gazed in wonder. At last his gaze settled on the two big creatures standing in front of him. He cocked his head, he felt like he knew these two creatures. Sure enough, they looked like him.

Martin walked over to one of the creatures, a big blue one with pink cheek marks like his. He stumbled side to side, his legs stiff from being curled up in a basket for so long. He cocked his head again and perked his ears, wondering who this strange, yet famaliar, creature was. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the other big creature walk over to his sister. The creature looked a lot like her, with a black mane and tail, and white fur.

Hsien kept a strong gaze upon the youths intaking their aura and strength that would soon be their guide. The filly showed much promise in her calmness with a reserved nature making her blow out softly in approval. Her head swayed towards the colt whom was a bit behind his sibling in wanting to emerge to that new world just outside his basket. He posed some stubbornness maybe a bit of lied back temperament more like his father, but to Hsien he'd grow in maturity as his legs became stronger and his mind more adept.

"Qin. What do you think of them, our children?" she queried with a quick swish of her tail followed with a strong stamp of her hoof as she balanced the weight.

She was eager to teach them and Qin her knowledge if they so desired. The more fight she had with her, the easier it was to avoid a kalona attack. It was just that simple really, larger numbers were more proficient than a single soldier or warrior. Though she was a firm beliver of soul purpose, more help in the long run could avoid nasty incidents and perhaps even deter a waiting fatality.

Qin flicked his ears in Hsien's direction, acknowledging that he had heard. He needed a few seconds to come up with a short answer, as there was so much he wanted to say. He said softly, his voice filled with compassion, "I think they are the most beautiful things to have ever walked this planet." He grinned, and added, "Except for you, of course" He laughed a little.

Martin looked curiously at the big white creature, it was making a funny sound. He cocked his head, and with some trouble, manage to make his legs walk over to the big white creature. He became a little off balance, but planted his hooves firmly onto the soft earth. He said in a voice that was filled with curiosity, "Wh-who is jou?" He was mastering the control of his tongue, so his words were slow and choppy.

Qin smiled at his son. He leaned his head down, and said, "You finally decided to come out of your basket huh? Very well then, I am Qin, your father." He gently nuzzled his son, being careful as if the slightest touch would break him.

The filly slowly trotted around, before hiding behind her mother. She was still quite timid in this new world she was in and decided to play it safe by sticking close to her mother. She felt much safer with her mother around than to be exposed.

Hsien was becoming impatient as the foals adapted to their new surroundings. She was set on then being guided and trained as soon as their minds and legs could carry them after her. From her first steps Hsien had learned the hardships of reality and life, her children would be in the same predicament if she was as harsh as her own parents had once been. Great warriors, they had sealed their fate in the claws of a dragon much like Cynder.

Bending her neck downwards she blew out softly to her daughter gaining trust and love. Then she looked over at her mate with strong eyes. Once they are suited I will begin their training."

It may of sounded harsh but Hsien was set in her ways and that would never change. The sooner her children were able to fight and protect others the better.

Qin bit his lip a little, but knew that Hsien was right. The sooner that their children could protect themselves, the sooner they would be safer. He gently nudged his son toward Hsien, and said with a twinkle in his eye, "I think that our daughter will be much more adept at fighting than our son. He seems to have the laid back personality of his father."

He grinned and said, "But I am sure that you will channel that personality into that of a hardened warrior." He looked down at their children with a mixture of sorrow and happiness in his eyes.

Martin looked up at his mother with a questioning look in his eyes. He said in his slurred little foal's voice, "Training? What does Twraining mean?" He sniffed cautiously around him, his ears pricked.
